"You mean a lot to me, Lizzy... You did when I was ignoring you too. I just thought what I was doing was the best for everyone." Mack told her with a sad smile. "I couldn't be happy without you. As weird as that sounds." Mack chuckled. "Plus it wasn't like Phoenix was beating down my door to make sure I was alright. He had Rayne. And I don't blame him for that, but still." Mack told her with a sigh. It amazed him how much he could talk to her. How easy it was.
"Sam is a sweetheart." Mack told her with a goofy smile on his face. He would do anything for Sam, just like he would do anything for Lizzy now. They were his girls. "I'm sure we'll get along fine then." Mack chuckled before smiling that Lizzy wanted to go out with them. "Great... I'll set it up for when you're out of the hospital then. I'll let them pick where and everything and if we don't like it, we'll ditch them." Mack told her with another laugh. He just wanted her happy.

Elizabeth shyly looked up at Mack. "Well, you mean a lot to me too. And, it's not weird. Now that I met you, I don't think that I could live a happy life without you in it. And, that sounded incredibly cheesy. However, I honestly don't give a damn. I'm just happy that you are here with me right now. We can forget the shit that we put each other through, okay?" she asked with a little shrug and a small smile. "Yeah, I don't think that I could blame Phoenix either. He is kind of like Jane. It's impossible to be mad at them. They're like little puppies. You just can't kick them. I'm sure that if he knew something was up, then he would have made sure that you were okay. But, I get the feeling that you wouldn't tell anyone what was wrong with you. Am I right?"
Elizabeth laughed at Mack's plan. "You know that I would never let you ditch them." She punched him in the shoulder. "I'm sure that wherever they choose will be amazing. Mainly because they are amazing people." Elizabeth just sighed and snuggled back into Mack's side. She really didn't care what was going to happen next. She was just happy that her and Mack were finally together. Smiling, she noted that this was probably the happiest that she had ever been in her life, the long talk in the common room and being in the hospital notwithstanding.
