Nathaniel was just wandering Diagon Alley on a whim, looking for something to get for his little sisters. He'd just received his pay, and Amanda and Lisa's birthdays were coming up soon. He thought that Amanda might like a doll, or something. Let her treasure her childhood when she can. Lisa's birthday present would probably be the autograph that he got from Teddy.
So there he was, looking around, feeling increasingly awkward at shopping alone. He never did like shopping, and the fact that he was a guy, alone, shopping was attracting a number of weird stares.
Or maybe that was because he was wandering near a doll shop.

Serenity swore she spent more time looking through shops in various places than she did at home and work combined. She loved to shop. It wasn't long before she found a younger looking man that looked completely lost. Serenity, being the kind woman she was, decided to help him. It had nothing to do with the fact he was kind of cute. She had seen cuter guys out there.
"You look... well. Completely lost. Need help?" Serenity said with a completely fake smile that probably looked authentic to anyone looking at it. She had gotten good at those since she worked at Mungo's. They were easy to pull off and get away with. "You're a guy shopping around a doll store. Looks like trouble to me." She continued with a click of her tongue. She needed to find a shopping partner, that was for sure.

Nathaniel turned around when he head a lady call out to him, asking if he was lost. He wasn't lost, but he supposed that it did look really weird. And she was hot. Although he wasn't supposed to be thinking about such things, now that he was together with Teddy-- oh well, it couldn't hurt to look.
"Thanks, but no thanks." Nathaniel grinned sheepishly at her. He knew that it must look really weird for a guy to be shopping around a doll store. In fact, he had just been about to head in when the girl had called him. "I'm looking for a present for my sister, but I don't really know what to get her. I got her twin something really amazing, see."
It felt... well, weird, talking to a random stranger about his sisters' birthday presents, but hey, if this girl was able to help him, he was going to jump at the chance. Amanda had always been really hard to shop for.

Serenity just laughed at him. The poor man obviously didn't know what he was doing, even if he said he didn't need help or anything like that. It was sad, in a way. "Let me help you. I need a shopping partner anyways." She told him with a smirk as she saw him look at her like most guys did. She flipped her glasses up and on top of her head.
"I suggest getting something else for the twin you already have something for, then giving her the amazing one in private. Otherwise if the gift truly is amazing, then no matter what you get the other twin, she'll still be upset." Serenity offered her bit of advice toward the man that wouldn't accept her help. She wasn't really one to take no for an answer and this was one of those cases.

Nathaniel frowned a bit at the girl laughing at him. But, well, she was offering to help him, and he was pretty screwed if he didn't get Amanda at least something halfway decent. And she was hot, so... well, he wasn't going to say no.
"Okay, thanks!" Nat laughed a bit before realising that the girl didn't really even know his name. "I'm Nathaniel. You?"
The advice that the girl offered made sense, he supposed. Nothing would really match up to Teddy's autograph-- at least for Lisa, because Amanda didn't really love Teddy all that much, anyway. She might still get jealous, though, which was what Nathaniel was worried about. He didn't want Amanada to be upset with him.
"So, what should I get her? I got Lisa-- the twin-- one of her favourite celebrities-kind-of's signatures, but I really don't know what to get Amanda (the other twin that I'm currently shopping for). They're both 10. Any advice?"

Serenity actually smiled fully at him, then. She cracked him, just like she knew she would. It had to do with her looks, she was sure. She might be a bit conceited, but it wasn't for no reason. She was hot, and that was all there was to it. "I'm Serenity" She introduced herself with a grin.
"Ten?" Serenity said, even though she heard him right. She tried to think back when she was ten years old. She hadn't gone to Hogwarts yet, but when she did she wanted to look her best and stand out. Serenity knew she was a bit different than most people, however. "Maybe get them something for Hogwarts. Since they'll be going next year. How about getting them both an owl or something."
"Or you could never go wrong with jewelry or accessories, or clothes..." Serenity started naming off things, waiting for Nathaniel to say he liked something.

Nathaniel smiled when he heard her rattling off about what he could get them. He didn't really trust the girls to take care of an owl (they'd probably forget all about the poor animal until they wanted to send a letter). Clothes sounded really good, though. And maybe he could get some new clothes for possible future dates with Teddy.
"Clothes it is, then! Well, if you aren't too busy, could you help me pick out some outfits for my sisters? I'm afraid that I have the worst taste in clothes ever." It looked like the girl had really good taste in clothes, despite her dressing being a little whorish. He didn't really want his sisters to wear such an outfit until they were older-- or not at all, really.
The girl was really nice to be helping Nathaniel like this. If he wasn't already attached, he'd probably already have propositioned her already.

Serenity was glad he seemed to like her clothes idea. Every girl needed a lot of clothes. No matter how much they had, it simply wasn't enough. Just tell that to Serenity's closet. It had more clothes in it than it could probably fit, yet she somehow got it all to work. Somehow.
"I'd love to help you. Plus I'm doing shopping of my own. We could do both things at one place." Serenity beamed at Nathaniel before linking her arm through his and dragging him down the street to her favorite clothes shop. "This should have any kind of clothes possible. Now... the twins. Are they more tomboyish or girly girls?" Serenity asked with a serious expression. She took her shopping very seriously and needed to make sure these girls got exactly what they wanted in clothing styles.

The way that Serenity somehow just snapped into action and started asking questions about the girls kind of amused Nathaniel. It would be useful to have a friend like Serenity, he figured, because her fashion sense really did seem pretty much impeccable.
He really needed someone like that in his life so he didn't need to spend 2 hours in front of the mirror trying to pick out an outfit for a date.
"Okay! Ah, Amanda's not really tomboyish, but she likes books and drawing. Lisa's the really girly one. She likes celebrities-- posters and all." Conveniently forgetting to mention that he had an old Robert Downey Jr. poster of his own in his room. Did that make him girly?
"Oh, and Amanda doesn't like dresses. She's okay with skirts, but she really hates those poofy dress-things... she says that they make her look like a little kid. Not like she's not already one," Nathaniel laughed a bit. He thought that it would be nice if he could persuade Amanda to wear dresses like she used to, but for that he'd have to find a dress that she thought looked 'nice'. That would be rather hard, but he was pretty sure that if anyone could find a dress like that, it would be Serenity.

Serenity listened to what Nat said before putting a finger up and running around the store rather quickly, she knew where everything in the entire store was, of course. She had been in here a lot trying to find more outfits, accessories, you name it. This store has.
She came back with four outfits. Two for each girl. "Okay. So for the more girly one, there's these two dresses. Then for the not so girly one, I suggest one of these pants, with one of these shirts. Preferably the ones I have together." Serenity told him as she showed the clothes and laid them down on a rack next to them so he could see all the different options. In the end, he knew his sisters better than anyone. She tried not to pick what she though ten year old girls would like. She hoped she had it right.

Nathaniel couldn't help but feel quite amused at Serenity's rushing around, picking clothes for his sisters. He felt a little bad that he wasn't even the one picking them out, what with him being their brother and all, but... well. He was pretty sure that if he got anything for the girls, they wouldn't want to wear it. His fashion sense was just that bad.
"Yeah, Lisa would totally love the blue-and-white dress! Plus the jeans for Lisa are really cute. But they're a bit grown-up-ish for 10-year olds, aren't they?" He didn't really know much about fashion, but these looked more like clothes for adult-to-older-teens than anything. And the brighter blue dress with ruffles looked wayyyy too grown-up for Lisa.
"Do you think you could get a dress for Amanda? I mean, she wouldn't be adverse to a dress if it was really nice, I think... and not pink... but I'm afraid my fashion sense is frankly horrible." Nathaniel gestured down at his clothes to emphasize his point.

Serenity's eyebrows burrowed. Were the outfits a little old for the girls? They were ten... Serenity was dressing up like this when she was ten. Serenity could work with that. She'd just have to dumb down the style a little bit. "No problem..." She smiled before taking off again in search of a dress for a not completely tom boy but not girly girl.
She came back with four. "Okay. None of these are pink, and none overly fashionable like something a teen would wear. I don't know what kind of twins they are, but if they want to do the whole twin matching but different colors thing. Go with this one." Serenity held up the red dress that looked exactly like the blue one. "That way they're both the same too." Serenity told him with a smile. "But if they aren't like that... then pick one of these other three."

Serenity really knew a whole lot about fashion. How did she guess that the twins liked to do the twin-matching thing? Maybe it was a girl thing. He knew that most twins nowadays didn't really like doing the matching thing-- fashion/sense of individuality and all. The red dress that Serenity had picked out was really, really cute, and he thought that he was definitely getting those. Price wasn't going to be an issue for his little sisters.
(... unless they cost 500 Galleons or something, because he didn't have that kind of money.)
Nathaniel took both the red and blue dresses. Thankfully, upon checking the price, he found that they weren't too expensive after all. He thought it might be nice to get some matching accessories for them, though-- the twins would like that, and it wouldn't be too long until the twins grew up and didn't want to be babied by their big brother anymore (not that they particularly enjoyed it at age 10). Till then, he would splurge like crazy on them. His sister-complex was just really quite insane.
"The red and blue dresses would be great, thanks! Do you think that there are any accessories that would match? I think I'll still have some spare money after buying these dresses."

Serenity smiled when Nathaniel picked the matching dresses. She thought maybe he would like those. They were adorable and would be with two twin girls. "You're a good older brother. Getting them something special for their birthday, ya know." Serenity told him before grabbing his arm and taking him over to the wall of accessories. She looked at it with her arm still in his, trying to find something. She picked out three things. All three were things that matched.
"You said one of them was smarter? And the other liked looks? The skull and brain would be cool for them then. Or the puzzle pieces. Showing they belonged together and they were twins and stuff. Or you could get them these bracelets that say sister on them. Because, well, they're sisters." Serenity laughed before taking her arm out of his and holding up the three choices.

Nathaniel smiled when Serenity praised him for being a 'good older brother'. He wasn't all that great, he knew, and there were better siblings out there, but it was nice getting praised anyway. Being a good older brother was something he prided himself on, anyway.
"Oh, the puzzle pieces are adorable. I'm certain that the girls would love them. Thanks!" Nathaniel smiled a little at Serenity, a little amazed by her ability to find the perfect gifts in such a large shop. If Nathaniel had ever entered such a shop by accident, he was certain that he would get lost within the first 5 minutes. Then again, that might just be because of his abysmal sense of direction.
And there he had them, the perfect gifts. Nathaniel headed over to the cashier to pay, and then found out that he still had some money left. Perhaps he could spend it on some clothes for himself or something-- now that he had a boyfriend and all, it would be rather weird for him to wear his pretty-much-rags on dates. It might be useful to have Serenity pick out some clothes for him... it would most certainly save him the two hours that he spent on his first date picking out clothes.
"Hey, do you think you could help me with picking out some new clothes for myself? If you're okay with it, that is, I have some extra money left, and I don't really have anything better to spend it on." Nathaniel grinned at Serenity, hoping that she would agree. It would really be great if she did.
