Rayne decided to pass the time till she was supposed to meet Nyxie by going and taking a nap on the grass. Or... at least going out and laying on the grass. She didn't know if she was going to actually sleep or not, but laying on the grass for a while sounded fun to her. She always liked relaxing and things like that.
It was one of those days that Rayne just wanted to do nothing all day long. Maybe it was because she was excited she was going to hang out with Phoenix tonight. Yeah... that was it. Of course.
She took a deep sigh and closed her eyes. She should have at least brought a book out here while she waited and what not. She enjoyed reading... wasn't a big reader. But enjoyed it occasionally. She was just weird like that.

Andrew was walking through the grounds while reading a book. It was a nice day out that he couldn't resist going out and soak up a little sunlight. He wondered where Tommy was that day. He had not heard the young lion cub's cheery laughter the whole morning. He also wondered where Blake was, not that it was what he was really thinking. Just a thought.
As he was walking through, he did NOT notice a pair of legs that was stretched out on the area he was supposed to be passing by. He was caught off guard that he actually trip on the pair of legs and fell face down on the green grass with his book in front of him.
"Ooofff!" was all that was heard of him when he hit the ground. He instantly recovered and looked at the other end of the legs. "What in Salazar Slytherin's name do you think your doing? Do you have any idea how dangerous it is to just lay here with your legs stretched out? You could have made someone trip-" Andrew stopped himself as he stood up.
"Scratch that, you already made someone trip of your abnormally long legs." he hissed at the unknown girl who was laying around the grass.

Rayne was laying there like she had before when she felt feet trip over her legs. It was kind of funny actually, especially the reaction of the guy who had fallen on the grass. He had called he legs abnormally long... ha! Maybe they were the longest part of her body, but she was still a short little thing.
"It's not my fault you didn't bother to look where you were going..."
[/b] Rayne wasn't the kind of person to feel exceedingly sorry for someone that tripped over her if that person tried to pass it off as her fault. If he had just simply fallen and not tried blaming her, she would have probably tried to make sure he was alright. Instead, Rayne simply sat up and looked at him with her head cocked to the side and a small smile on her lips. "Honestly... how can you not notice a girl laying in the middle of the grass..."[/b] [/blockquote]

Andrew's eyes wanted to glare at the girl but he knew it wouldn't do him good doing so. He took a deep breath and looked at her again. "What kind of proper lady would just lie around on the grass to begin with? That's not how a decent witch should act." he told her.
He should know, he was from a good and noble family. His mom had told him again and again how he must act around people. Especially to those who he can use one way or the other.
"Another thing, I didn't bother watching where I was going simply because I thought no decent wizard or witch would just lie around the ground and sleep." he added, almost hissingly. He was doing his best not to. She was still a girl no matter what.

Rayne honestly couldn't believe this guy. He was being so weird... and... an asshole. "Obviously you're not a decent wizard if that's the way you talk to people. It's not my fault you're an unobservant asshole that feels the need to try to degrade someone because of something that was their own fault."
[/b] She glared at him. "I'm pretty sure I wasn't sleeping. And I'm pretty sure a lot of people randomly lay in the grounds because there's nothing else to do at this place, idiot."[/b] Rayne really didn't like this guy already. He made it seem like he was better than her simply because she was laying down on the ground. She wanted to curse him into another dimension. [/blockquote]

Andrew couldn't believe was this girl was saying. And she had the nerve to call him an idiot and an asshole. Not the words he would have like to hear from the lips of a girl. He turned back to her and sternly eyed her.
"Very well, I may have been a bit to harsh then. I apologize for not looking where I was going. I wasn't expecting a girl would lie around her. Not the appropriate place really." he told her.
"Secondly, I suggest you lie under a tree. It would be a more appropriate place to lie down. It's shaded and cooler." he told her. He actually cared what happens to her if she got heat stroke.

Rayne relaxed a bit. She probably shouldn't have called him names but she honestly couldn't help it. Rayne got pissed off easily, and this guy didn't help with that anger. He had made it completely worse, but she was going to apologize, because that was the right thing to do...
"I'm sorry too. For you know, calling you an idiot and an asshole. That might have been uncalled for."
[/b] She admitted, not entirely wanting too. "I like the sun... it's why I didn't lay under a tree. But thanks for your concern."[/b] She sat up and looked at him. She stuck out her hand. "Let's start over. I'm Rayne Skye Teagan."[/b] She smiled at him, trying to be nice now instead of mean. [/blockquote]

Andrew sighed and fixed himself. He turned to her and accepted her hand. "Andrew Sebastian Maxwell. Pleasure." he told her with a gentleman's smile. She was still a lady and so as he usually did, he bowed and kissed her hand.
"You look better now with a smile on that beautiful face of yours, Rayne." he said and smiled again. he was being a gentleman now. Which he should have been from the start.
"Apology accepted and I wish that you do not stay under the sun too long. It certainly won't be good for you." he adviced. He knew how bad the sun could be and how sensitive the human skin was.

Rayne thought it was kind of weird that the dude had kissed her hand, but she figured he was a pureblood. They always did things like that. Until they realized Rayne was a muggleborn that is. Then he had called her face beautiful... That's so weird. Rayne didn't know whether that was just his personality to be like that, or he was flirting. She hoped he wasn't. That would be kind of creepy to her.
"I'm trying to work on my tan. But I'm pretty sure I'll just burn."
[/b] She laughed, more at herself than anything. She didn't care about the sun being harmful or anything like that. She cared about how white she was and how she was going to change it. "If the sun is so bad, why are you outside in it?"[/b] She laughed, flashing him a cheeky grin. [/blockquote]

Andrew found her rather strange for a girl. But it was just then that he saw her uniform. "Ugh! A gryffindor? She might be one of those muggleborns... But then again, there are some purbloods that get mixed into that house." Andrew thought to himself.
"I was merely on my way to the lake to have fresh air under a shady tree. The sun is just bright enough for a good book outside instead of the dark and eerie library." he told her and took a step away from her.
he bowed and was about to leave, "You should think twice about tanning under the sun. It would prbably just burn your skin and it would be rather unpleasant to see that beautiful face of yours burned by the unmerciful sun." he told Rayne with a smirk.

Rayne smiled at him, trying to show her nice side instead of the mean side he had forced out of her to start out with. "I agree with you there, the weather is perfect for a nice book by the lake. If I wasn't meeting someone later, I might have done just that."
[/b] Phoenix was way better than reading a book. She was so looking forward to hanging out with him again. Such the charmer... Rayne liked this guy already. "Well my beautiful face will keep that in mind, thank you. But you won't have to worry. I shouldn't be out here for much longer. I can't keep Nyxie waiting."[/b] She said with a smirk. It kind of worried her how excited she was to hang out with Nyxie. He made her smile... and she barely knew him. But she knew he loved music... and that was one of her passions. He was funny, cute, smart. He had it all, it seemed. [/blockquote]

Andrew decided not to ask her who she was waiting for. Frankly, he didn't care at all. But then she mentioned a name and from the looks of it, she was rather excited to spend time with this "Nyxie". He smirked at her.
"Oh, your waiting for you boyfriend then. I shall take my leave so that he won't get any wrong impressions that I am trying to flirt with you, which I am not. Just so you know." he told her and smiled.
He would never date a girl. No matter if she's damn rich and powerful. He was gay and into men, not women. Never women.

It took a second for Rayne to process what she said, when she finally did her face broke out in a smile and she laughed. "Oh, he's not my boyfriend! We're just friends..."
[/b] She told him, hoping to clear that up. She didn't even think about Nyxie that way.... did she? No... of course not. "So I suppose it doesn't matter if you were flirting with me or not. Even though I'm glad you weren't... since we just met and all."[/b] She smiled at him. She supposed it wouldn't be too bad if he was, but he wasn't the type she would flirt back with if he had been flirting. He seemed... a tad on the weird side honestly. The whole 'sun will hurt you thing'. Sun was good for you. Better than staying inside all night and day. [/blockquote]

Andrew wanted to laugh when Rayne was explaining about her real relationship to him. "Well, by the sound of how you talk about him, he would soon be playing the role of your boyfriend. He sounds like a guy that can keep up with your spontaneity." he complimented.
Then he laughed out loud, "Flirt with you? I wouldn't even dream of flirting with any girl for that matter." he told her and gained composure of himself once again. he turned back to smile at her, "Well, you should make sure that you reel in this Nyxie. He seems to make you happy and smile." he told her.
Andrew turned to look at his watch and the position of the sun. He wanted to get to his spot before three in the afternoon so the cool wind under the tree would be cool and relaxing.

Rayne opened her mouth but was lost at what she was going to say. She hadn't thought about Phoenix as her boyfriend. They were just friends... right? Nothing was going on between them other than friendship. At least not that she noticed. So what if she had fallen asleep on his shoulder... and cuddled into him while eating. Holy fuck.
Rayne was spazing out in her mind right now. What the fuck did that dude see that she couldn't? "Uh... thanks?" She mumbled back at him. She didn't know what to say. She was at a loss for words.
Then he... said he didn't flirt with girls? Her eyes got wide as she figured out what that meant. "Oh! You're gay..." She said without really thinking. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean.... I don't care if you're..." Rayne took a deep sigh. "I'm sorry."
