Chase let Brent curl up close to him. Not wanting to move what so ever. This was the life. This was perfect. This was why Chase forgave Brent. Because without this, Chase wouldn't be able to live very long. Life without Brent wasn't a good life. That was for sure.
Brent had fallen asleep fairly fast. Well. Not fairly fast. He fell asleep as soon as he had curled into Chase and mumbled that he loved him. Chase made sure the covers were around them tightly and grabbed his wand off the nightstand so he could flip the switch off.
Chase fell asleep with a smile on his face, and the love of his life in his arms. That was the only way Chase ever wanted it to be. He could live with almost everything Brent did because Chase knew Brent inside and out. Chase knew that no matter what, Brent would always love Chase, and Chase would always love Brent. That's all that really mattered.

wasn't right. Maybe it was something he'd eaten? Or just his body's way of making him pay for the way he'd been treating himself over the past few days. He decided from the churning in his stomach that now would probably be a good time to attempt to make it to the bathroom. Which was going to a challenge considering that, as well as him not feeling well enough to walk over there, he'd also have to get there in semi-darkness. He didn't want to bother Chase by waking him up. Limbs shaking, he got to his feet slowly and had to use several objects to lean on to get to the bathroom which took a bit too long for Brent liking; he didn't really fancy throwing up on Chase's clean and tidy floor. Although he didn't make it to the bathroom in time, Brent found something he assumed to be a bin and decided that, okay, this would be a reasonable enough place to puke. And hopefully there wasn't anything important in there. After clearing out what felt like the entire contents of his stomach, Brent groaned and slid down against the wall until he was sat on the floor. Right now would be a pretty okay time to die in his opinion.[/ul]

Chase didn't really know what was happening at first. He felt the weight on his bed shift a bit and then he couldn't feel Brent there anymore. He figured he was just going to the bathroom or something like that, so Chase didn't bother to get up. He just closed his eyes again and was about to drift off back to sleep when he heard a weird sound. Was Brent... throwing up?
Sitting up, Chase wiped his eyes and grabbed his wand. Flicking it and switching on the light. "Brent? Are you alright?" Chase asked worriedly. He quickly got up and saw Brent was sitting on the ground with his back against the wall. Chase followed Brent and put his arm around Brent. Not caring if he was sick. "What's wrong, Boo?" Chase whispered to him. He was clearly not feeling well.

Chase didn't know what to do. He was starting to freak out, and trying to hide it since he knew Brent had to be freaking out on the inside too. Chase had been about to turn the light back off for Brent when he had pulled his hands away from his face to show blood all over his hands. Well that can't be good.
"Brent... I think we need to get someone. I can carry you to the hospital wing if you want... Or I can patronus Alex? Take you to St. Mungo's? Something..." Chase told him, pulling Brent closer into him on the floor. "It's okay... it's okay." Chase mumbled to him, trying to convince himself along with Brent. Chase just sat there and rubbed Brent's shoulder. Having no fucking idea what to do. He was bad at these kinds of things. Really fucking bad.

Chase was completely lost at what the fuck he was supposed to do. Literally. Brents nose was bleeding, he was throwing up, he felt extrememly hot against Chases shoulder. This couldn't be good. Chase had never had to deal with anything like this before. He had never seen anything like this before to have to deal with it. And it wasn't good at all.
"I'll get Alex. Hold on." Chase said before reaching over a bit where he had dropped his wand on the ground. Thinking of today, when they made up, Chase shouted expecto patronum in his head. Seeing the phoenix errupt from the tip, clickly tell it to go get Alex and bring him here. That Brent needed him right now.
"Just stay calm." Chase told him, but it seemed like he was freaking out more than Brent was. "Alex will be here soon..."

Alex was sleeping soundly with Tootie curled up on his chest. She only got to sleep in his bed with him when Reid wasn't over, which was rather sad. A couple of hours before he had ingested the antidote after intentionally poisoning himself so no one would suspect of the sly move that he had pulled. Now he just needed to sleep it off in time for work tomorrow morning. But that wasn't going to be so.
Alex was woken by Chase's patronus. Joy. That meant that the victim was sick alright. And probably not going to the Infirmary. Knowing Brent he wouldn't want his ex-wife to have a chance of seeing him like this. With a moan, Alex reached over to his bedside cabinet for his wand to cast his own peacock patronus. He told it to tell Chase that he was on his way, that he was sleeping.
The Spaniard took a little longer than necessary getting ready. He even fed Tootie. And put away the dishes on the drying board. And made his bed. And got himself a sandwich. Alex was stalling for time. Every minute longer he took, it'd mean Brent would suffer for a little while longer. The thought made him giggle out loud.
"If Reid comes. Behave yourself." Alex said to Tootie, pointing at her with a stern look on his features. He wanted the two to get along - was it much to ask? Dressed and with his Healer kit, he grabbed his broom and apparated onto the corner of Hogwart's grounds. He had the antidote amongst all the other things in the kit but he couldn't make it too obvious. He didn't plan to feed it Brent straight away. Cheating fucker could stomach that poison a little longer.
Eye for an eye.
Tooth for a tooth.
You don't hurt Chase.
Period.

Chase was trying to be patient, but he was kind of failing at it. He didn't want anything to happen to Brent, and here he was, almost dying in front of him. This couldn't be good. Where the fuck was Alex. He needed to get here, and fast.
"I know he's taking too long. But he'll be here soon, I'm sure. We are in the towers... give him time. It's alright. You'll be okay." Chase murmured to him, trying to convince himself along with Brent. He didn't like this. This was like torture for him.
Chase couldn't even imagine losing Brent. Couldn't even possibly think about it. Brent meant too much to him to lose. Brent would be fine. Alex would get here and tell them what was wrong and fix Brent and then he would be fine.

Alex swiftly arrived at the window to Chase's living quarters. He pushed it open and clambered awkwardly in. The bitter wind outside had left him with rosy cheeks and unkempt hair, his clothes were a bit off, too. But it was all good. It gave him a flustered look, even if he was the complete opposite - calm and pleased that his plan had worked. But he could pretend that he cared.
Alex let his mouth hang open when his eyes fell on Brent, taking a moment to just see how well everything had worked. He looked pale, slightly in pain and with a nosebleed that didn't look like it would be stemmed easily. Alex would've savoured this scene a little longer but Chase's face made him decide against it. He looked extremely worried. Alex guessed his fun was over. "W-What's happened?" Alex finally said, getting to his knees beside Brent and inspecting his face carefully, pretending he was looking for what was wrong. He knew well what was wrong. "You looked fine before... this just start suddenly? Or was it gradual?"
Alex brought his hand up to Brent's forehead to take his temperature - feverish yet clammy. This was a beautiful poison. Odourless. Tasteless. Left no trace. And so very easy to brew. "That bleed is what worries me most..." Alex muttered, getting out a Blood Replenishing potion for Brent. He'd let him bleed a little more. Let that headache peak. Let the scary palpitations start. Only when Brent's heart was racing on par to the speed of a flying bullet would he administer the antidote. Cruel? Maybe it was. But Brent deserved it.

. "I j-just woke up, didn't feel well." he mumbled quietly, causing more blood to spill into his mouth. He spat it out before moving his head back down again and trying to ignore everything going on around him in an attempt to soothe his throbbing head.[/ul]

Chase kept his arm around Brent as tight as he could, he didn't want to let go. Chase was scared. He was worried. He was afraid things weren't alright like he had been mumbling to Brent. He felt like something was wrong. "Alex..." Chase whined when he finally came through the door. He gave him a desperate look. One that clearly shouted help him.
Chase wasn't a good one when it came to this kind of stuff, injuries, sicknesses, the works. He would have died had that thestal attacked him when Alex wasn't there, because he wouldn't know what to do. He was literally on the verge of tears for Brent. He didn't like it when anyone was in pain, let alone the one person he loves the most in this world. Alex needed to do something, and he needed to do it fast.

Alex had to will away a smirk that desperately wanted to curve his lips on seeing Brent's distress. There was so much blood. Crimson liquid was leaking from his nose and it spilled out whenever he attempted speech. So much blood.
Kneeling by Brent, he just stared at his reddened mouth for a while, holding vials in his hands. It was just... weird. He had caused this. And he didn't mind, he was completely apathetic about Brent's scary state of health. Chase's voice snapped him out of it though.
Only then did Alex realize that this wasn't just causing Brent physical pain... it was causing Chase pain too seeing his beau like this. Guilt rained down on Alex like knives cutting into his conscience. His friend was greatly upset. He didn't know what was going on or why this was happening... Alex supposed that it wasn't fair on him. He swallowed dryly and set about rooting in his bag for the correct antidote.
"I...uh..." Alex started, uncorked it and shifted closer to Brent. "This... this'll do the trick. Trust me." Trust me.... he was such a hypocrite. His friend had trusted him and he had gone and poisoned one because he wanted to take revenge into his own hands. Alex had no regrets that concerned Brent. Just Chase and his upset.
Alex gently cupped Brent's chin and tilted it upwards. Carefully, he tipped the lilac liquid into his parted lips and pressed a finger on his chin to close his mouth. "Now swallow." Alex said softly, brushing some locks of hair out of his face. "It should work almost immediately."
