Lily had been sitting in the library reading a book she found in the gigantic thing her dad bought. She still couldn't believe how big this place was. Not that she was complaining. She could get away a bit in the library. She could literally hide herself in the books and no one would be able to find her. She loved that.
When she heard the doorbell ring, she actually thought about just leaving it. but she also knew there was no one else home and she would have to get it. She got up and put her book face down so her place wouldn't be lost and ran to the door.
She opened it a crack to see who it was, when she did she squealed with excitement and ran to tackle him into a hug. She missed Teddy. She hadn't seen him in forever. "Teddy!"

"It's okay, Teddy! I forgive you. Besides, it's not like I don't know all about that one. How many times has daddy disappeared because of it?" Lily laughed, it sounding like bells even in her own ears. She had missed Teddy so much. It was totally not fair that he had to be gone as long as he did, but like she had said, she was used to it.
"No one else is home. I'm not entirely sure where everyone is... I was just in the library reading, of course." Lily smiled at him. He could have probably guessed that one. Lily almost always was reading a book of some sort. It was what she did best. Something that she could be a completely different person in. She always pretended like she was the main character in the book, it made reading it way more fun.

[/i] father. All Teddy had left of him were various photographs and the same went for his mother. "Oh, really? Reading?" Teddy grinned, raising a brow, "I should've guessed."[/color][/ul]

Lily's smile faltered for a bit when Teddy mentioned her dad. She missed him terribly... "I sure hope so. I miss him too." Lily put the smile back on her face though, she hadn't seen Teddy in so long. She wasn't going to let thinking of her father ruin that. It just wasn't right. She was going to be happy with Teddy.
"I do other things besides reading! ...sometimes." Lily laughed at herself. She really did read all the time. "Come in, Teddy! Are you hungry? I can get you some food if you want. Or we can go do something. Like.... play some quidditch. Or something like that!" Lily said, grabbing his arm and dragging him into the mansion that was her house. She was excited to see Teddy... what wasn't to be happy about?

Lily knew Teddy didn't believe her when she said she did other things. She really didn't have a life. She would even play quidditch without a family member. It used to be only her dad, but she was comfortable enough around her brothers or even Teddy. Her uncle Ron and her cousins were okay too. But she was too shy to play on the Gryffindor team. Maybe in a year or two.
Her smile stayed on her face when Teddy said he was up for a game. She missed Quidditch. Her brothers were too busy to play, her dad was always gone... all she could do was read. She was alone most of the time. "We have a few spare brooms in our shed, I'm sure they're good enough to play a game or two with me." She smiled innocently. "Then again... it wouldn't matter what broom you had. You'd still go down." Lily could be a true Potter at times, her father said she got that part from her grandpa. She had never met him, so she wouldn't know. But it would only come out when she was around family.

Lily laughed at Teddy. "Who cares if you break them. We have plenty. And my daddy would just go and buy more." Some people thought it was weird how she still called her father daddy, but she didn't care. She was a daddy's girl through and through. So what if she still called him that. Other people would too if they didn't get to see their father, or have to wonder whether their dad was going to come home when he left for a mission. Whether or not he would even come home alive...
"Hmm. Luck may help you. But probably not." Lily winked at him playfully. SHe missed goofing off. James had been getting better with Lily. Wanting to talk to her more and such. But Teddy was always the one that she was closest with out of her 'brothers'. She always counted him as one.

Lily laughed at him. "You won't break any broom. You're being silly." She gave him her normal Lily smile. One that tended to only come out with people she was comfortable with, like her family members. That was about it, honestly. She didn't have any close friends. None that she was comfortable with at least.
"We don't have to actually play a mock game or anything. We can just throw the quaffle around if that sounds better to you. As long as I go up in the air, I'll be fine. Even I need a break from reading every once in a while." She joked. It wasn't true. She could read for a week straight and not need a break, that was how she was. Reading was something she enjoyed, but so was quidditch.

Lily was kind of afraid by the way Teddy was talking that he might actually be horrible at Quidditch. She had flown with him before... hadn't she? She didn't remember him being too terrible at it. But then again, she had never flown with him alone. Always with her father or brothers or someone else. She might not have paid attention too closely to how his flying was.
"Oh well. Things are there to be broken!" She laughed before grabbing his hand and pulling him outside. She took him to their outside shed and grabbed her broom from it before handing another one to Teddy. She couldn't wait to get into the air. To feel the breeze on her face.
Grabbing the Quaffle, she mounted her broom and soared into the air. Tossing it up in the air as she did and caught it again. "Come on, slow poke."
