Aiden looked over the heads of the people. "Brent! Over here! Head on straight to the back!" Aiden called out as he was wrapping a few items for a customer. Aiden called another staff to take over the cash register while he went out back. He pulled Brent to the back and to his office.

He pushed open his office doors and closed it when Brent and him were inside. "So, what brings you here, Brent?" Aiden asked as he made Brent sit on the couch and Aiden sat on the armchair across. "You caught us in a bad time. There are a lot of people today." he said and smiled.

"Is there anything you want? Juice? Sandwich?" Aiden asked as he poured himself a glass of cold juice. The shop was busy and the staff was handling ten to fifteen people each.

By the time he'd finished speaking, Brent was fully aware of the bitterness that had been creeping in to his tone. It was obvious that he wasn't happy about not being told this from Murph.

He shook his head slightly. "I.. I'm good. I don't want anything." he muttered. It was unusual, Brent not demanding beer but he felt uncomfortable drinking with Murph now after what had happened last time...[/color][/ul]

Aiden knew that Brent was still a bit wary around him. "Please Brent. Try to relax. I don't want any awkwardness between us." Aiden said as he finished his juice. Then he smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I found someone... Well, I've been with him for so long I just didn't know that I love him until... until the night... you know..." Aiden couldn't say it. But he hoped Brent understood that Aiden meant the night they kissed.

Then Aiden smiled again and chuckled, "Well, I'm sorry to not have told you myself. I had a lot of things on my mind then. And I did mean it when I told you I wanted to give you space. you and I needed it. I hope your alright now." He said with no trace of bitterness or sorrow.

"You see Brent... I came to realized that I love him more than I thought I could when I took you home. He and I had been together for a long time as friends and I didn't know that I already had loved him more than a friend should. It's different with you. I still love you but like a brother now..." He said as he chuckled and blushed. He was losing his words when he talked about Jackie.

Aiden didn't know how to tell Brent. "I shall meet our daughter when Chase isn't mad at me anymore." Aiden said with a sincere smile. "I can bring her gifts, can I?" he asked Brent. he didn't want to offend Brent by bringing something that Brent might find offending for some reason.

Then Aiden smiled as he tried to hide his blush. "Yeah, you've met him already... Brent, I'm in love with Jackie. The friend of mine that we met at the music shop when you were looking for wedding stuff." Aiden reminded Brent.

"Well, Jackie said that he loves me back and I'm just not sure what to do. I wanna scream it out to the whole world. I want to kiss him and just hold him close, Brent. I've never felt this before. And I'm glad that I got to feel this with him." Aiden added with a very sincere smile.

[/i], Alex had betrayed him. So had Chase. Of course he had forgiven Chase though, which was mostly down to Rose's arrival.

"And I guess you can bring her stuff, nothing too expensive though or you'll make me feel bad." Brent rolled his eyes. He'd kind of been expecting that question from Murph already.

"Oooh, I remember him." Brent laughed, "Maybe you'll get the happily ever after you deserve.. with Jackie?"[/color][/ul]

Aiden laughed. "Alright, nothing to expensive. And you don't have to talk to him for me. I'll do it myself. I want to prove to you both that I mean no harm this time. Besides, I think Jackie would skin me alive if he found out that I ran after you again." he joked and laughed heartily.

"Happy ever after is not our cup of tea, really. Jackie and I think that we'd be different. We think alike and have different taste than most people. What we chose to do is take a day as it is. No hurry, no pressure. Just enjoying each other's company and see what works for us." Aiden told Brent.

Then, in a snap of a finger, a bucket of beer appeared before Brent. "Here, I know you'd die without beer. Don't worry about me. This time, nothing's gonna happen. Jackie'll know if something did. That man might actually flay me if something did happen." Aiden shivered. Jackie knew things that Aiden never thought he would.

Aiden simply laughed. "Well, don't worry about me and Chase. We'll manage to find a way to not get on each other's nerves. I'm sure he won't kill me at wand point when he sees me. As long as I don't do anything to irritate him, I think I'll survive." he joked and laughed again.

He could hear the people outside but he was going to let the others handle them. This was the first time they had talked like this after the talk with Nathaniel and the incident. And it was the first time they could talk again since Aiden and Jackie became serious with each other. This thought made Aiden smile. Jackie was officially his now.

"You know, Green planned a dinner with you and Chase. I just haven't gotten around to invite you over. the flat is a bit messy as of the moment and Jackie went to visit his father. Green had mentioned that he had met Chase. Red and Silver too. They're the Facinelli siblings and they'll be teaching at Hogwarts this coming term. I hope you get along with them. They are like family to me as well." Aiden said with a smile on his face.

A dinner? Brent could hardly say no, could he? He was interested in meeting the Facinelli siblings if they were like family to Murph and he would have to work with them next year. "Oh, that's sounds awesome." he beamed at his best friend, "And I did hear about three new professors arriving in September but... everything was so manic at the end of the school year that I didn't really have the chance to find out anything else."[/color][/ul]

Well, Aiden was glad that Brent was going back to the way he used to be. It made Aiden smile. "Well, those three will make Hogwarts more interesting that it already is. Take note, you have to be blunt to Silver and Red and tell them to fuck off. They will hit on you if you allow them too. And since you getting married to Chase, you better not cheat on him again. I will hex you myself, Brent McKinney. Mark my words." he told Brent.

He didn't care of Chase got hurt really. He was more concerned that if Brent cheated again, he was going to fall into pieces. And that shouldn't happen again. Because they have a baby now and cheating would not be good for either Chase and him. Hell, it won;t be good for the whole family.

Aiden chuckled. "Don't be too hard on Silver and Red. They really mean no harm. They're just playful. Just swat them when they get annoying and walk out. They'll take it as a sign that your not really interested. If you answer back, they'll try to get you to talk to them even more even if you hex them. Silver and Red are masters when it came to giving and dodging hexes and curse. So, don't provoke each other to a dual." Aiden said with a smile.

"Well, I'll have a chat with them later on. I'll tell them not to make moves on you. They'll listen to me." he added as he accio'd a bottle of water and drank at least half of it.
