Alexandria was tired of how she was feeling. Though she did not want to step foot in a muggle town. She had her own way of doing things. She had looked at the ingredients of hair dye. She figured she could make one the magical way and be able to use that instead. She had opened up her potions book, got out her cauldron. Then she started on her master piece.
Dria looked towards the door, spoke the words Alohemara. Which instantly locked the door that was across from her. She also locked the other door. If anyone was going to get in there to stop her. She wanted to make sure she had other ways. Dria took her wand as placed items against the door.
She then got the ingredients she would need and chopped up certain things and added it to the potion. She continued, she made sure to add a very very blond potion key into the mixture. She was not going to have this problem anymore.
She pushed her thoughts outside of her head for now. Would her father even care. Her mother, would she care. Why was she born with a darker hair color then the rest of her family. It felt like she was an outsider.
She ignored her thoughts as she continued mixing them together. She looked at her hair for a moment as she pulled on it some what. It was too brown. She sighed, this would be easier if she let her professor help her. But she was not willing to ask.

James had been restlessly pacing around the school for a pretty long time (aka about an hour) as he had been volunteered to do patrol. He instantly regretted it 15 minutes after he started his duty.
"Bored. Booreedd.... Bored." James sung a little tune "Hey look, it's the Potions Classroom! I'll just go inside for a bit, see if I can get some company. Or some form of entertainment."
The bored teacher unlocked the door to the classroom after finding that the door was locked. He paid no attention to it however as he was just too bored to care.
James opened the door but was surprised to see a student brewing a potion. He guessed that the girl was probably a fourth or fifth year. James based his guess off of memory and the girl's looks.
"Hello there dear!" James greeted the student with a friendly smile "What'cha doin'?"

She could hear someone outside of the door. She could hear them. They were stepping and it was causing her to turn around towards the door. Whomever it was, was going to get a surprise were they.
She heard the door click, and she turned around. Her wand in her hand to make whomever it was as solid as concrete. She knew the spell and she was not afraid to use it.
She looked at him, her wand was still about to be raised but she thought better. She would get Slytherin in trouble if she did. "Do you mind?" The girl hissed out as cold as she could.
"Can you not tell what I am doing, I am brewing a potion." She told him. She was not about to tell him that it was hair dye because she wanted to use it for her hair. "And its not a potion you can drink."

"So I see... Ms. Malfoy, no?" James grinned, happy to relieve some part of his boredom "What kind of potion is it? It smells more like... Hair dye?"
James was slightly puzzled as he smelt the familiar scent of hair dye. His beloved wife was fond of using it so the scent became familiar to him. Though Tania usually just used it for a streak in her hair or highlights.
"Hmm..." James randomly hummed "Red highlights... First time it was blonde..."
James daydreamed and reflected on past memories. It was something he did when he was just too bored. He leaned on one of the desks and watched the girl struggle with the hair dye. It was pretty entertaining for a few seconds but James got tired of it quickly and decided to bother the student like the little snoop he was.
"So... You need any help?" James asked "I'm not the best at potions but I do know a thing or two..."

Dria looked towards the Professor. She knew that the Professor was not a whole wizard but merely half muggle. This was one thing that she hated. Jaminson was not a whole wizard which meant he was part muggle. She shivered just thinking of it.
Alexandria rolled her eyes. "No the pope, yes I am Ms. Malfoy." She told him. Clearly Alexandria was in no mood for this Professors Antics.
When he questioned the hair dye, she sort of looked away. "If it is, why does it matter to you!" She asked him as she continued to work on the potion.
Did she need help. "No I do not want you to help me, I can handle it myself." Dria told him as she continued to stir the potion. She took another wiff and then smiled a little bit.
She looked towards the door. "You know you can leave right, or are you planning on bugging me?'

"Why does it matter? Well, I am a teacher and I have to make sure you don't get into trouble." James replied thoughtfully "If that was something dangerous I would've tried to talk you out of doing something dangerous so our lives would be somewhat easier."
James honestly didn't care what his students did with their free time, as long as it didn't result in pain and/or death. After all, he understood what it was like and probably did worse things than some of these kids so what could he say without sounding, and feeling, hypocritical?
"Hmm... I guess I'll stay here and bother you!" James grinned "I have nothing better to do and doing patrol is extremely boring. It was the reason why I came into here actually. To relieve some of my boredom. Anyway, do you have any plans for the holidays?"

"Does it look like I am stupid enough to get in trouble?" Clearly Dria's attitude was coming back out. She could blame it on family trouble.
"I am not stupid enough to do something dangerous while brewing a potion." She commented. "I am not some stupid first year that is learning magic for the very first time."
Dria rolled her eyes and hissed something out under her breath. She heard the question about the holidays. What did she have planned? Absolutely nothing. "I, her voice softened for a moment. She had to become that iced fourth year. That everyone hated. "Do not even answer him Dria, he does not need to know about your family, just stay quiet." She tried to talk herself out of it.
"My family is having a Christmas party, But I am not going home." In fact she was pretty much told to stay on campus."My 'father' insists on me getting ahead of everyone so I plan on doing some research here." That sounded a bit more believable. It did not make her father to be some monster. She had tears almost coming to her eyes. She could not believe she was talking to someone with tainted blood. She knew that not all the professors were pure- blood.
If only Lucius was still around. She would not have to change as much as she was. She looked at the potion. It was going to be blond. Which was what she wanted. "Now I am going to use this potion." She told him icing herself back up.
She took the ladle and put it in the jar. Then put on some gloves and put the dye into her hair. Massaging it in like she knew you had too. Afterwards she would take a shower. Then she would be a blond like her father wanted.
She then bottled at least three more bottles of it, put a cap on it and put them into her bag. She waited now, as she sat at her desk. Her heart was pounding rather hard. She did not look at James but rather looked at her desk. Nothing in life was going right. But it did not matter to her. She was happy, as happy as she could look on the outside.

James silently analyzed and processed the Slytherin's words and body language. After working with people of fake ages, goals, fake selves even, his whole life James had gotten good at reading the emotions of other people. But something felt a bit off with Dria and it made him slightly worried for her.
"Here, let me help you with that." James put on some gloves and expertly massaged the dye into her hair, making sure they went to her roots "Honestly, I don't really care what you're doing as long as no one gets hurt. Emotionally or physically. I think that's why I want to know the full story because we both know that there's more to it."
James' voice was very gentle and kind. His fatherly instincts were starting to kick in and he worried for the young fourth year. James could only imagine how much pressure Draco Malfoy's children must go through.

Alexandria looked at James. He was to nice, and to caring. She tried to shy away from him but she did not go to far.
Alexandria watched him put on gloves, "I said I do not need your stinking help." She told the mudblood of a teacher. Even if he was not a mudblood he had tainted blood and she could not associate with it.
Though she did feel a bit more at ease with him helping her. The way his hands massaged it all in, even the roots. "You have done this before have you?" Alexandria asked. She was softening, damnit, if she was ever going to get her father's love again she had to toughen herself up.
Alexandria hissed at him now. "There is nothing wrong, there is nothing going on. Just he wants me to ex-cell in everything so I am staying here."
Alexandria was trying her best to not pour her heart out onto a tainted muggle. She tried her best to keep everything on the inside. "It's fine, I'm fine." She tried to convince herself. "How long do I have to wait, it should work fast right?" She asked wanting to make the conversation more on her hair and not on her mind.

"Why yes, I have." James replied "My wife and my sister were fond of dying their hair. Though my wife preferred highlights which, trust me, is much harder to do than simply dying her hair."
James chuckled at the old memories. His sister, Liana Redpaw, was back in America. Not that James was complaning or anything. He found his sister to be annoying, bratty and selfish. Though he did miss her from time to time.
"Well then, if you say so." James said, still not convinced that was the entire truth "If you don't want to talk about it you could just tell me..."
It really made James upset that students couldn't trust their teachers. He understood why but he didn't understand why his colleagues didn't do anything so students could trust their teachers.
"Huh? Oh, it usually takes 15-30 minutes after massaging it in." James snapped back to reality "It depends on how well your hair absorbs the dye and whatnot...."

Alexandria just nodded. She just lay her head against her desk for a moment. 'I do not need highlights, I just need straight up blond hair." She told him. She was tired of being told she looked nothing like her father, like Lucius. She felt like she had to look like one of her members. She looked more like her grandmother.
"I do say so." She told him. "Why would I talk when there is nothing to talk about Mr. Redpaw." She told him now.
"Okay, good to know." She said with a soft nod. Alexandria started to mess with her hair a bit more hoping that her coloring would just suck in all the right colors. "I guess I should say thanks for helping me." She told him. She hoped that Jaminson was not wanting anymore truth. She was wanting to keep it from him.

"Okay then... I guess you're trying to say that you don't want to tell me and that you're trying to hide the full truth from me." James smiled gently "If so, then that's okay. I know what it's like, keeping a secret from a nosy teacher..."
James stared at Dria, starting to feel intrigued by the young lady. People keeping secrets always peaked his interest.
"You're welcome Ms. Malfoy..." James replied "If you need any more help just ask me, okay? But that desicion is fully up to you."
James sighed and started to leave, knowing that he should probably leave the Slytherin to think about things and not be bothered by some nosy teacher but he dreaded the boring, quiet hallways of the school as well.

Dria was glad that this professor was not as dense as he appeared to be. She nodded when he said exactly what was on her mind. She was not going to tell him a lick of information more. In fact she felt like she had already told him to much. "No student wants there professor to know anything about there lives." She explained.
Dria did not appreciate him staring at her like that. "I do not need anymore help." She said not as mean as before. She was softening just a little bit. Maybe it was the fact she was hurting so much underneath.
She was actually thankful that James was starting to leave. She noticed how hesitant he was acting. It sort of bothered her that he wanted more information about her. She looked at him hoping he would just leave. Then again, "I guess you can stay if you really want too, at least until I take the dye out of my hair." She told him.
She was sure that was bound to make his day.
