Chris couldn't believe his ears. He had tried to do what was best for Alex, he had tried to make peace with her cousin and it was thrown in his face. Couldn't she see how much this was hurting Alex to see them fighting?
He had to force himself not to step back as Blaze stepped inches from his face. He hadn't meant to hurt her the first time. Why would he purposely hurt the one girl who has given him a change. He looked over Blaze's shoulder at Alex. He pleaded with his eyes, trying to convey how sorry he was.
He let Blaze finish her little threat before he tried to talk. "Look Blaze, I like your cousin, I really like her. Why would I hurt her when she's finally given me a chance? Her and I are together and there's nothing you can do about it. You really need to stop with the threats and get over it.:
He walked around Blaze and over to Alex. "I'm sorry, I tried but she just won't do it. Have a good time with your cousin and I'll see you later." He gave her a quick kiss, turned and walked up the stairs to the common room.
