Minna walked into the Great Hall in her muggle jeans and shirt. She did look like a seventh year when she dressed regularly. She didn't have her robes on due to the fact that her classes didn't start 'til after lunch. She saw several professors eating. She wondered where Maryn was.
Beside her seat was a man, silently eating by himself. She heard of him, Alexander Thomas Gabriel Turner. It sounded like the name on a muggle movie she saw a long time ago. She didn't know whether to be nice or just ignore him. But she knew it was rude since he sat next to her.
Minna sat down and look three pieces of pancakes and three strips of bacon. She turned to look at the man, "Hi, I'm Willhellminna Theoreux, Head of Slytherin House and Ancient Rhunes Professor. You can call me Minna. Don't bother with my last name. People often read it wrong anyway. Your the Flying Instructor right? Uhm... Alexander Turner am I correct?" she asked politely.

Gabe watched the young woman enter the Great Hall. She looked like a student but wasn't wearing uniform. He wondered from which house she was and thought of reprimanding her Head of House on being to loose on the uniform rule.
However, the young woman went through the aisle and straight to the teacher's table. And she actually sat next to him. Gabe did his best to not show surprise. "She's a teacher here?" he asked in his thoughts.
She introduced herself and he was even more amazed that she was the new Head of House of his old house. She was so young. He actually thought she was a student. Then he noticed that she was waiting for him to answer her.
"I prefer to be called Gabe. So you are the new Slytherin Head. I was in Slytherin during my stay here many years ago. And Yes, I am the new flying instructor. Pleased to meet you." he extended his hand to her.
He tried his best to smile, was a a pure blood like him so she was alright in his book. "Theoreux? Your Lord Alexander Theoreux's daughter, aren't you? To be named after him is an honor. He is a great man and well respected in society."
Gabe knew better than to talk about other people's family before they open it up themselves, but he just couldn't resist. The Lord was a friend of his father when he was still alive. He didn't really knew about Lord Theoreux's family but Gabe knew he had a daughter. So this was her.

Minna winced at the mention of her father. She lost what smile she had as she shook his hand. She immediately let go since he clearly knew her father. "Yes I am. And if you don't mind, I prefer not to talk about my father. It is not a secret that we were never close to each other." she said as she took a bit of her meal.
"What's the point of being well respected in society when within the four walls of you own home, you are not well with your family." Minna said with a sneer. She hated her father and the whole wizarding knew it. It really was no secret.
"I hope you enjoy your stay here like I will." she told him, trying to change the subject. She really didn't want a talk about her father early in the morning. It was an ingredient to how to ruin her day.

Gabe wondered why she didn't like her father. He was a great man. But then again, like she said, she didn't want to talk about it. So he respected her wishes. He maybe a Death Eater but he knew how to respect women and their wishes.
"Very well, I think I shall enjoy my stay here now. It's not everyday I get to work with Pure Bloods for a while. And the fact that you are the new Head of Slytherin makes me proud to have come from that very house." He said, offering her a smile.
He didn't want to get on her bad side less she unleash her wrath on him. All slytherins were alike. That he knew well when he was at Hogwarts as a student.
"Do you like to fly?" he asked her. Changing the subject to make her comfortable again, just like when she introduced herself.

Minna smiled a little, seeing his attempt on changing the subject. "I'm not much of a flyer... But I can fly." she answered him politely. It was true. She never really was good but she could do well when in a race.
Minna felt that something was a little off with Gabe. She didn't know what it was and didn't bother prying. Despite meeting him for the first time, she concluded that he seemed nice and charming... In his own way.
"Have you met the rest of the faculty?" she asked as she took a sip of her coffee. "I should tell you, stay away from Blackwood if you don want to ruin your day.... And as much as possible, try to not cross paths with Brent McKinney and Chase Jackson... They with make you go crazy." she warned him.

This got his attention. "Brent McKinney and Chase Jackson? Why? What about them?" he asked. He hadn't met them yet but from what Minna was saying, it wasn't worth meeting them at all. "Are they not pure-blood like us?" he added.
He had a theory about them. Either they had crossed her war path at one point before or they are really mudbloods as he thought it was the closer reason to why she didn't like them. But then again, he couldn't blame her since she was a pure-blood like him, despising blood traitors and muggleborns was common.
He was going to like this woman. She shared the same ideals he had. But then again, she hasn't answered him yet so no need to rush to conclusions. He will have time to get to know her and the rest of the staff. And hopefully gain some important information that would be useful to his superiors.

Minna continued eating her meal. "I'm sure as I'm a pure-blood that those two are NOT. However, it's not their blood status I meant that you should avoid them." She took a sip of her coffee. "It's their attitude really."
"They will drive you crazy if not out the castle doors and out of Hogwarts. They just tend to be themselves which is very annoying and irritating to me, especially McKinney. My best friend, Maryn is married to the man which I do NOT know why." she said.
"Not that his not ugly or uncharming as Peeves. It's just that he wasn't what I imagined she would be marrying. I haven't seen them for quite sometime now and I am beginning to worry. Maryn would usually try and find me so we could talk. Now, I can't hear her voice anywhere in the castle. I know something happened to her and I will tear Brent limb from limb if I find out he has done something to her." Minna spoke coldly as if Brent was in front of her.

He was right then, they weren't pure-bloods. Then after listening to her explanation to why he should avoid the said professors, he chuckled softly. He thought it was the funniest thing he had ever heard.
"I have to be honest, I do not think that they would drive me out of Hogwarts any time soon. I have met many crazy wizards and witches while traveling and I for one never ran away." He said confidently.
He smiled at her honestly. There was something dark about her that he couldn't point out. But he knew it was there. Not because she was a Slytherin Head but because something about her whole aura and being is telling him to watch out.

Minna tried not to show her surprise. He was confident and cocky. He was truly an ex-Slytherin then. But then again, because he was a guy, cockiness was a common trait. She merely took another sip of her coffee.
"I warned you. It's up to you whether you take my warning seriously." she told him as she finished her meal and wiped her mouth. Then she turned to look back at Gabe, she noticed he was studying her. As if he was trying to puzzle her together. She wasn't that broken, was she? She simply sighed.
"I would appreciate if you would not look at me as if your putting together a puzzle. I do not like being stared at as if I grew another head." she told him with a cold voice. She was trying to be nice but this guy was making it it a bit hard for her to do so.

Gabe look his eyes off her and looked down, "My apologies, Minna. I was merely studying everything about. It's simply because there is something about you is puzzling me." he told her. Gabe wondered why he was being honest with her. He didn't even know if he could trust her.
But then again, he didn't reveal any secret to her so he was safe for now. He just disliked himself for being too honest about why he was looking at her. He was simply fascinated by his co-faculty member.
"I'll make sure to watch out for them then. Thank you for the warning. Your the first to have made actual conversation with me since I came here." he told her with a warm smile.

Minna didn't want to think it, but from what she saw,it was as if Gabe was flirting with her... In the Great Hall... during breakfast!!! She tried not to show how affected she was of his stares. She was the Slytherin Head for Merlin's sake. it would be embarrassing.
She didn't trust herself to speak so she nodded when he thanked her for the warnings. He was truly something else,this Gabe Turner. And just like what he said to her, he was like a puzzle to her too.
Something about him was just a little off. If she asked other teachers,they would notice it like she does. She was and is now the head of a cunning house in Hogwarts. It was natural for her to notice such things.
"It's something dark... that much i can guess. His pass is as a blur as a speeding snitch." But she didn't want to pry so that Gabe won't ask about her life as well. She wanted to play safe.

Gabe was simply amused with how Minna was trying to cover up her feelings of discomfort from him. This was not what Gabe had in mind. However, she was sensing that he was coming on too strong on her.
"My apologies again for being too straight forward so early in the morning. Since breakfast is nearly over, I think I need to ready for my first class this morning. It was a pleasure to have met your precious acquaintance, Miss Willhellminna Theroreux."
He bowed shallowly and stood up to leave. He had to say that she definitely made an impression on him. Gabe hoped to have a chance to talk to her again soon.

Minna stared in wide eye as Gabe apologized and stood up to leave. "Yes, it was nice meeting you too, Professor Turner." she said as she tried to smile at him. She was still in a daze with what just happened during the entire conversation.
She knew that she better watch out or she might just find herself in a situation with the mysterious man that she might regret soon after. Minna wondered what he was thinking about her the whole time and why he was talking cryptically.
She may not have understood everything but she knew he was trying to puzzle her together for some reason and she was going to find out why. "Willhellminna Theoreux is no puzzle to be played with." she thought to herself as she watched the man leave.
