Belaya chuckled and smiled sisterly at Lauri. "As I told you before, it's fine as long as you watch your tone."

Belaya nodded, hoping that she could tell everything to her friend.
"Are you sure? Everything? You know what I want and what I'm capable of." her other side asked her, concerned. Even though the sides were something like rivals, they were still one and still accepted each other.

"I know. It's all the better then. We have someone to kill us when it all happens." she replied audibly to her other half.

Her other side kept a sad silence in response.

"Well now... Jay was cursed with a weak, sickly body. He died of pneumonia, out in the cold with only one person to keep him company. He had coughed up blood, he was struggling to breathe... In fact, when things got worse, it hurt to breathe. Jay had a burning fever and random chills. When things got really bad he... he started becoming confused, a bit crazy even.... This went on for about 2 weeks..." Belaya somehow managed to keep her voice straight and calm. However, she was grateful when Glamoura gently licked her face and muzzled her neck to comfort her.

"Yeah. It was hard on me but not my family." she sneered, remembering her parents.

Belaya silently listened to her friend's sad memory. She gave Lauri an encouraging smile, hoping that she would be ready enough.

"Apparently not..." she thought to herself sadly as the Ravenclaw started to sob.

Belaya quickly put Glamoura down and took the kitten from Lauri's hands as Lauri leaned against the wall and cried.

"Shhh..." Belaya murmured comfortingly, letting Lauri lean against her and wrapped her in a hug "It's all right, it's alright. Shhh..... You know you didn't have to tell me all that. Quiet now. Hush."

Belaya quietly hummed a sad tune, hoping to comfort Lauri. The tune was a lullaby Jay made. It had always calmed him down and she had always hummed it to him when he was sick. She hoped that Lauri would find the song as comforting as Jay did.

After a while, Lauri stopped her crying and dried her eyes on the handkerchief Belaya had kindly given to her earlier. "..Thanks." she whispered, with a barely visible smile, "I've never told that to anyone before.. but, I don't know.. I knew I needed to talk to someone. And you're the only person that I can talk to right now, everyone else either hates me or has no idea who I am."

Lauri had always been a loner, all of her life. She had never had a 'best friend' to share secrets with, talk with or even just mess around with. It had just been her and Pierce, who sometimes seemed like more trouble than he was actually worth. Lauri was relieved to finally have someone she could call her friend. It was true that she could be a little snobbish and harsh sometimes which gave her a lot of enemies but most people didn't know that if you treated her nicely, she would always treat you the same. She knew she would always try and treat Belaya as kindly as she treated her.[/color][/ul]

"It's no problem. I'll always be here if you need someone to talk to or bother." Belaya replied with a quiet smile "Shall we be off now? I want this kitten to be breathing properly already."

Belaya didn't really want to ruin the mood but it was necessary as she was worried for the animals.

"I hate to break the mood but these animals need some healing. I promise I'll make it up to you somehow." Belaya paused here for a moment, thinking what she could do for her friend "I know! Meet me at the Library next week. I'll have a surprise for you then. You like learning right?"

Belaya knew that Lauri, being a Ravenclaw and all, probably liked to learn. What would be a better present to a Ravenclaw than sharing some knowledge? None that Belaya could currently think of.
