Chase walked into the Three Broomsticks at 9 in the afternoon. Most would say 9 at night. But not Chase. His bands song made it impossible for him to think anything but 9 in the afternoon. He knew this was why Brent wanted to meet him at this time. It was the perfect time to start drinking. Back in their partying days it was the time they would wake up from partying. Those were the good ole days.
Chase spotted Brent sitting at a table, truthfully he was surprised Brent was already there, he was almost always late to everything. None-the-less Brent walked over to the table and came up behind Brent. He put his hands over Brents' eyes like a teenage girl. He changed his voice to make it sound higher pitched than usual, in attempt to hide the fact it was him.
"Guess who?" Chase almost cracked up laughing but forced it back. He didn't want anything to give him away, even though he was positive Brent would know it was him no matter what.

Chase let the laugh go as soon as Brent guessed Albus Dumbledore. He was clearly joking with Chase and knew it was him. Chase didnt know why, but he always loved joking around with Brent. He made everything fun.
"Damn. I thought i hid my voice well that time." Chase joked again. He was in a good mood. His classes went good, the sun was shining. Everything was great.
"So since when are you here on time? I figured i had a good ten minutes after nine befote i had to show up. This thing you're going to tell me that bad?" Chase tended to hide his nerves behind jokes, and truthfully, whatever Brent was goingnto tekl him made him nervous, he couldnt imagine what itbwas doing to Brent. Chase flipped his hair out of his eyes. Or at least tried to. His bangs needed a good haircut.

gets past Brent McKinney. Nothing." he chuckled. Chase seemed pretty happy now which rubbed off on Brent a bit too, taking away some of his anxiety. "Since now. I'm not late for everything, y'know!" he pouted, pretending to take offense from what Chase had said. Yes. It really is that bad. he wanted to say but couldn't quite bring himself to do it. Instead, he gestured to the empty seat beside him. "You might wanna sit down, I dunno how long this is gonna take." he sighed, his nerves returning. Could he really do this? To Maryn? To himself? Brent really didn't know.[/ul]

Chase was happy that Brent seemed to be loosening up a bit. He wanted to make sure that whatever Brent was going to tell Chase wasn't going to be completely awkward. Chase had a feeling he couldn't completely do that, though. Brent's disposition just told Chase to turn around and go somewhere else. He couldn't do that, though. Brent was his best friend and whatever he was going through right now didn't matter. Chase would still be there for him.
"Aren't you full of yourself right now. Oh wait, that's always." Chase joked with Brent by winking at him before sitting down in the booth across from him like he suggested. Chase didn't know if he was ready for this, it cetainly looked like brent wasn't ready for it, and that was not normal, Brent was almost always ready for anything life threw at him. It was one of the reasons Chase was always so overconfident. It was hard not to be when you hung around Brent as much as Chase did.
"Okay, lay it on me."

Chase froze the second Brent got up on the table on his hands and knee's. In that moment Chase's mind thought of everything that had happened with Brent. How he blushed around Chase, and how every time he winked jokingly Brent had to turn around and couldn't look at him. It all clicked into place.
Chase didn't even have time to respond. Didn't have time to ask him about Maryn. Nothing. Brent just kissed him. It wasn't a long kiss, but it wasn't exactly a short either. It was long enough to bring all the memories of them dating back to Chase's mind. The time in Chase's life that he was the happiest. He had never told Brent that, though. He moved on to Maryn too fast, claiming he was completely straight. Obviously that was a lie.
"Brent. What the HELL was that!" Chase acted like he was mad about it, when in truth he felt as if he was on cloud nine. It was... it wasn't fair to Chase! Brent broke it off with Chase, saying he was straight. He had accepted that! He had moved on, sort of. He tried to move on, but it never really worked. He was always friend zoned. Over time, he had accepted that. Why did Brent think he could just change that by kissing him randomly! It wasn't fair to the one that had always admitted openly to being Bisexual.

Chase's eyes widened at Brent's words. How could he have possibly known that. It's not like Chase had been open with him about it. Chase had never said anything about romantic feelings since they broke up all those years ago. And for good purpose too. It wasn't as if he could tell a married man he was in love with him.
Chase hid everything he just thought with anger. That wasn't what they were even talking about here. How did that come out?! That just... didn't seem right.
"Wait. Last time I checked I wasn't the one being questioned here. You were the one that randomly kissed me. When you are married! "
The moment Chase yelled he regretted it. He saw the hurt in his eyes. Brent was probably extremely confused about the entire situation. It had to have been eating at him for a while.
"Look. I'm sorry. I know I promised that whatever it was I would be here for you. And I am. I will be. I guess I kind of need to know what you need me to do though." Chase looked at his best friend, the one that just kissed him he might add, with worry on his face, regret in his eyes. He wanted to help him, he really did. He just didn't know how.
Chase grabbed Brent's hand, not caring if he would tear it away. Not caring if he took it too far, even though he just kissed him. Only caring about how much Brent was hurting.
"Just tell me how I can help, Brent."

Chase could tell that Brent's anger was slowly going away, which meant he was sorry about the things he said. It was Brent's way of apologizing. Chase accepted it without a word about it. Otherwise Brent's anger would rise again. Being friends with someone for so long made them realize those kinds of things.
Chase was surprised that Brent didn't pull away his hand, but didn't think much of it. He just saw the lost look in Brent's eyes. Chase wanted to help. He wanted to do something that would help Brent figure out what was going on in his life right now, even if that meant Chase's heart would get hurt again. All he ever cared about was Brent's happiness.
Brent bit down on his lip and looked at Chase. He looked so adorable... so vulnerable. So amazingly cute at that moment that it was Chase's turn to do something stupid. He didn't think about it, didn't hesitate. It wasn't hard, Brent's face was so close to Chase's already that there was barely a move toward him. He just pressed his lips on Brent's and their lips met for the second time that day. This was something Chase had dreamed of since they broke up, and it was finally happening. Chase couldn't even remember why they were there, only that him and Brent were kissing: finally.

He'd been lost in thought for the past minute so to suddenly find Chase kissing him came as a big shock. He forgot how to move or breathe for a second; his whole body froze. Then he realised that he could relax because this was Chase. And they were kissing. And it felt... perfect. He relaxed into the kiss, shuffling a little further forwards on the table. There was still too much space between them though and Brent didn't like it. He wanted to be as close to Chase as he could possibly get. Not to mention how fucking uncomfortable this table was. He broke the kiss and it felt so wrong but he really need to get a little more... comfortable. He crouched on the table and then jumped down so that he was straddling Chase. It felt a whole lot better than being on that table. Brent was smiling. It was a goofy, wide smile. "Chase." he whispered softly because it was the only thing he could say right now, the only thing rushing through his head. And not even a second later he'd slammed his lips back on Chase's and ran his fingers through his hair and hooked his spare arm around his neck. Brent had forgotten how much he'd missed kissing Chase. Now he couldn't get enough.[/ul]

Chase felt Brent freeze, but it was only for a moment, the next thing he knew Brent was kissing him back. He was enjoying it, and that surprised Chase. He didn't think Brent would lighten up and actually kiss him back. He figured it would be short and then Brent would pull away, with that same confused look in his eyes.
If he was surprised that Brent was kissing him back, he was thoroughly surprised when Brent decided the table was no longer comfortable and decided to pounce on Chase and straddle him. Chase couldn't deny that this made things a hell of a lot easier to kiss him.
Brent smiled a goofy grin at Chase and he returned one. This was something he dreamed of since the moment they broke up. Kissing him again. Brent not caring about Maryn anymore. Everything that was happening, had been in a dream of Chase's at some point. And it was coming true.
Brent's hands went to Chase's hair and neck, he couldn't deny it felt good. His touch... was all Chase needed. Chase put his arms around Brent's waist, pulling him tighter towards him. He could continue this all day long if it were possible, or night rather. But he decided that it probably wouldn't be a very good idea to be snogging in the Three Broomsticks when they were teachers at Hogwarts. It wasn't professional. No matter how much Chase didn't care about that right now, he knew he would care about it later.
Chase pulled away from the kiss, but not away from Brent. He moved his lips to Brent's ear and whispered in it, "I don't think we should be making out right here, Brenty-boo." Chase used the nickname that Brent hated, hoping that instead of Brent getting mad this time he would laugh and pull away. Knowing that this was a situation that might need a little joke. And that was what Chase was good at. What Brent was good at. Why Chase always thought they were perfect for each other.
He decided that there was only one more thing to do at this moment. And he only wanted to do it with Brent at his side the entire time.
"Let's get SMASHED!"
