Not leaving them visible... He liked the sound of that. It seems he fell in love with a biter, he liked that.
Reid was glad that Alex liked his date idea. He knew just where he was going to take him too. There was a little pizzeria that Reid absolutely loved. He would take Alex there for dinner before going down the street to the cinema. He leaned over and kissed Alex. He really couldn't get enough of that. "Good. I've got our date all planned out. I will pick you up here at say 7 o'clock."
He didn't want to think about how far away there date was. He just wanted the week to go by fast so that he could go to band practice, see Jay, then go out on a wonderful date with him. "Don't think about how far away it is. Just get threw it day by day and know that at the end of the week you will see me." He leaned over to give Alex one more kiss. That would never get old.

Reid was going to come pick him up? Alex resisted the urge to hug himself and make little, happy noises. His friend was such the gentleman. Alex was having a hard time getting around the fact that they were going to have a date...it was still pretty unbelievable. This time last week he had been moping around his house in his boxers, throwing cat biscuits at Tootie for her to run after and eat. And now... He was all hyped up for it to be the weekend already. "Work'll probably keep me too busy to be able to dawdle much on it..." Alex sighed. He guessed it was a good thing though. It would keep his mind off how unfairly far off the weekend was. Alex kissed Reid back, chewing playfully on his bottom lip. He glanced up at the clock and stopped. It was going to be time for work in a bit. "Eat and drink youe coffee up, Ree." Alex smiled, peppering his neck with light kisses. "And if you get told off for this little mark...its not my fault."

Reid did as he was told and finished his breakfast. He didn't want to. It would mean that he would have to leave Alex and go back to work. He was not looking forward to yet another day of meetings and paperwork, mostly paperwork.
Before he knew it he was done with his waffles and coffee. He had eaten more than he usually did in the mornings. Whether that was due to working up an appetite earlier or how great Alex's cooking was, he wasn't sure. All he knew was that this was the best breakfast he had had in a long time. "Thank you for the waffles. They were amazing, but not as amazing as you." He smiled at Alex. This great morning was all thanks to him. Reid just hoped he could show his thanks during their date.
He looked at the clock on the wall and sighed. It was time for them to head to work. "Jaaaayyyyyyy, I don't wanna go to work," he whined.

"Reeee..." Alex cooed, throwing the dishes into the sink and proceeding to wrap his arms around Reid. "I'll forever make you food if its received like that." Alex tilted upwards and met Reid's lips gently, not lingering too long though. Just enough to show that the complient to his cooking was greatly appreciated. Alex dangled from his friend's neck for a moment, just gazing up at him adoringly. He thought he was so lucky, having someone like Reid. He couldn't of asked for a better guy. "You could always poison yourself...I'll gladly treat you." Alex chuckled gently, sliding his arms round his neck and lacing them around Reid's waist. He wanted to get enough of him to last these next few days. It was unfair that both of their jobs were so demanding. It'd be nice to have the ease that Brent and Chase had to see each other. "But if you do, I won't be too happy either. Now, lets get ready. We should start heading out." Alex peered at the bracelet-watch and it read: Preparing to leave. He sighed. If the device said that, then they were really pressing it for time if they were still hugging. "Think. If you don't go to work, you won't have money, and then you won't be able to take me ouuut." Alex spoke with a babyish tone, sticking his lip out and looking up with sad eyes. "Do you really want that?"

Reid almost thought of faking sick but he realized that it would only prolong his work. Maybe he would work overtime again tonight so that he will get done earlier. "On second thought, I really could use a good night's sleep." Plus what Alex was saying was true. If he didn't work he would have less money to treat Alex with.
He brought his hands up to cup Alex's face. The man looked even cuter with that pout. He kissed Alex. He couldn't look at that pout any longer, it was just too cute. "You are right, as usual. I guess I will just go to work. But know this, I'll be thinking of you the either day." It was true, he probably would.
He reluctantly slipped out of Alex's arms to get ready to leave. He looked around for his robe but remembered that he left them in his office; at some point before Alex had come he had taken them off. He turned back to Alex. "Come on Jay. We both need to get to work or we will be late."

"You'll be flooding my thoughts, too." Alex smiled, happily letting Reid kiss him. "...when I let you, of course. Can't let myself get too distracted. That's when accidents happen." He reached up and ran his hand down the side of Reid's face, stroking him affectionately before they both pulled away. "We can apparate from the elevator...we can't here." Since Alex occasionally had muggles around the anti-apparition ward had been a must. Who knows what excuse he'd have for one of his friends suddenly appearing in his living room completely out of nowhere. "And there's the electric cupboard, too. But the lift's best since it makes a bunch of noise." Alex gathered his Healer robe in his hands and picked up his work briefcase. He'd put the green robe on at work, not wanting one of his neigbors to see him. With a heavy sigh, Alex opened his front door for them to leave. In a few moments he'd be at St. Mungo's and not able to see Reid until the weekend. He held onto the glimmer of hope that they'd send him on an errand to the Ministry. Then, just maybe, he'd be able to sneak away for a few minutes to Reid's office. "Try not to overdo it, Ree. I don't want you too tired this weekend, m'kay?"

Reid followed Alex to the front door. This was the part he always hated, leaving. They would see each other in a few days but that didn't stop the longing for more time together. He would make it through, he knew he would.
They walked over to the elevator hand in hand. Reid pressed the button to go down and waited. He leaned over and gave Alex one last kiss. "I promise not to overdo it. Depending on how much I get done during the day, I probably won't even stay late tonight. No worries Jay, I know how to take care of myself. You make sure to do the same, okay?"

The metallic sliding doors groaned open when the lift reached their floor and Alex tugged Reid in. He punched in the button to the ground floor and the doors slowly shut with the same reluctance with which they had opened. "I'll be okay. It tends to get quiet of a night in Mungo's, so I'll be able to catch some sleep." He was really not looking forward to the amount of hours he was going to be putting in before the weekend. "So when you're all snuggled in your bed, remember that I'll probably be sprawled on the lumpy sofa in the breakroom." Alex chuckled. But it was highly likely. With a frown, he felt the elevator rumble into motion. He'd have to apparate shortly - his timekeeper bracelet was starting to heat up on his wrist, something that meant that he was cutting it extremely short. "See you at Brent's this weekend, Ree." Alex mumbled, wrapping his arms around his friend and kissing him full on the mouth. "Me and my shower'll be thinking of you until then." He added cheekily before pulling away, nipping his lip first for good measure. Alex shook his green robe and slipped it on, he sorted out his clothes under it and picked up his work briefcase. "See you, Ree. I--" Alex pinkened and caught himself. "I'll miss you." He smiled weakly. It hadn't been how the sentence was originally going to end. It surprised Alex how easily the words "love" and "you" had been about to tumble out his mouth. It was too soon for that, he guessed. Alex winked and blew Reid a kiss. And then, with a crack, he was gone.

Reid watched Alex leave with a sad smile. He didn't have a chance to say anything before his friend, lover, and soon-to-be boyfriend, if he had anything to say about it, leave. "I'll miss you too my love," he spoke to the empty elevator.
He sighed and tried to get his head on straight. He would need to concentrate when he got to work. It wouldn't do to get distracted too much from his work. With a last thought of Alex he disapparated to the Ministry.
