"Hmm. I do believe that sounds like an excellent plan. Something a really good guardian would come up with." Chase smirked and winked at Brent. Knowing that Brent would catch on to what Chase was saying. That Brent really could raise Tommy if he tried.
"Not thinking can be really good sometimes." Chase smiled at Brent. He was especially glad that Brent hadn't thought when he kissed him. It would leave Chase still in the friend zone. Probably for his entire life.
"Hmm. Somehow, I don't believe you. But I still forgive you." Chase smiled. God did he love that smile, those eyes, those lips...
"You know, Mr. McKinney. I do believe that we are in the forbidden forest. All alone. And I don't know about you, but I don't need to think for quite some time." Chase was afraid of Brent's decision. Afraid that he would get put in the friend zone again and Brent would go back to Maryn. So as far as Chase was concerned, he was going to get the most of out of the time he had.
"Or, ya know. We could always take a ride on one of these thestrals." Chase smiled even bigger. Almost wishing Brent would say yes to this. "They need a good ride. And I just know how much you love animals and flying."

tell lies." Brent let out a small laugh at himself. Never tell lies? That's a lie in itself, McKinney. After not thinking and getting into sticky situations, of course Brent had to lie his way out of things. The only flaw in this plan was that Brent happened to be a terrible liar. Horrified, Brent stared at Chase as if he was mad. "No! There's no way I'm even going near one of those monsters!" he cried, holding Chase tighter. Never having seen death before, Brent couldn't see thestrals and that made them all the more scarier. And to ride them? Brent shuddered, not wanting to even think of it. He'd probably end up getting killed, even if he was with Chase. "I'm staying here. With you. And I'm definitely not gonna think. 'Cause, like you said, we're all alone..." Brent whispered into Chase's ear, his voice low, now smirking even wider.[/ul]

"You really are." Chase meant it as a double meaning. He knew Brent knew what he had meant. He also knew that Brent hadn't liked it. He figured it was probably best just to drop the subject. To not think.
"Definitely. No thinking." Chase winked at Brent. Chase laughed loudly when he heard Brent. "Never tell lies?! You wish!" If Brent had never told a lie, then Chase was Dumbledore reincarnated. That wasn't possible.
Laughing again at Brent as he held Chase tighter. He really didn't like animals. Or flying for that matter. Chase had been at the hospital with his mother when she had died. So he had seen death and therefore could see them. He knew Brent couldn't though. Which sometimes made them scarier.
"They're not monsters, boo. They're actually very sweet." Chase smiled, the Thestrals would never hurt anyone. At least not the ones Chase trained. "Do you think I'd ask you to do something if I thought it were dangerous?" Chase would never put Brent in any danger. It was perfectly safe to ride them. "You can hold onto me as tight as you wanntttt." Chase said it in a tone that made it seem like that was the part Brent would say okay to. He held out the want as if he were a child.
"Then... when we're done. We can come back to this exact spot, and not think for however long you want, Girly-haired Man." Chase had never seen Brent really touch animals before at all. And Chase knew Brent wasn't very good on a broom. This was those two things put together. Chase knew it was a long shot that Brent say yes. But it was worth a try. Chase thought that if Brent really did it, he would actually grow to like the ride. Chase did. He always rode the thestrals. It was peaceful in a way.

Brent tried hard to stifle his laughter as he smiled 'innocently'. Brent snorted, "Sweet? Sweet? Uh, I don't think so. Monsters aren't sweet. They're dangerous. And riding them is dangerous, no matter what you think." It was hilarious, Chase thinking that those... those... things weren't monsters and were sweet. Brent couldn't help but laugh at him. Brent hadn't heard anything so ridiculous in a long while. Brent managed to stop laughing after a while and pouted instead. "No. You can't make me, I'm staying here, Unicorn Man." There was still no way that Brent was going to agree to this. He knew that it would probably be the last thing he'd ever do...[/ul]

"Okay, McKinney. I'll believe you, even when I know you're lying." Chase went along with it. He knew Brent had lied, Hell, Chase had lied with Brent before. It wasn't like the two were saints.
"They aren't monsters! They're just misunderstood! Everyone thinks they're monsters because you can only see them when you die, but they're just like a horse or a dog really!" Chase loved thestrals. He really did. They weren't monsters. They really were sweet.
"But the ground is so overrated. At least pet one?" Chase was giving Brent his puppy dog look, hoping it would work. Brent needed to broaden his horizon a bit and learn to play nice with animals. They weren't that bad at all! And animals were Chase's passion. He wanted Brent to realize why. Even though he was sure that would never happen.
"For me, Boo-Boo?"

monsters! I'm not gonna change my mind on that, Chase. And they're not misunderstood. I'm not really bothered by the fact that I'll only be able to see them after watching someone die it's just that I have no idea what they look like or what they're doing." Brent frowned a little, "Like a dog? How the fuck are thestrals like dogs?" Dogs. The only animal (excluding toads) that Brent actually got on with. Brent couldn't see at all how they could be compared to big, scary monsters. Brent groaned as Chase gave him his puppy dog look. How could he say no to that? "Noooo... Chaaaay..." he whined, "Stop iiiiiiit!" Huffing, Brent looked away so he couldn't be persuaded to go near one of those monsters by Chase's adorableness. "I'm not doing it!"[/ul]

Chase knew that it would be a long shot, and that Brent would probably never like them. But he wanted Brent to ride one. He wanted Brent to expand his horizons a bit. He wanted him to see what Chase loved doing. Chase loved riding the thestrals, it cleared his mind.
"You can't see the thestrals! You wouldn't know! But they aren't much different! They just have wings!" Chase was exaggerating a bit. But Brent couldn't see them, so it wasn't like he could prove he was lying.
Chase got rid of his puppy dog face and bit his lip as he slowly walked toward Brent. Making sure to be as seductive as he possibly could. "Are you sure you want to look away from me, Boo?" Chase took his hand and reached for Brent's chin. Pulling it up slightly so he was forced to look at Brent. "For me?" Chase whispered it, but followed it up by kissing Brent. Making sure to show Brent just how much he loved him with that kiss. He didn't make it last very long, just enough to tease Brent.
"No more until after." Chase smirked as he said it. He was playing dirty, and he knew it.

"You'll just have to trust me. They do." Chase forced himself not to laugh as he lied to Brent. He was planning on keeping this lie. At least until Brent rode one. He knew that if Brent thought they looked like a dog, he might consider it. Brent didn't despise dogs.
Chase laughed at Brent's reaction. It made him feel good knowing he could make Brent want him that bad. It gave him hope for whatever was going to happen in the future. But he wasn't going to think about that. Thinking was bad.
Deciding to repeat what he did in the kitchens the other night because he could liked the reaction Brent had from that as well, he moved his lips to Brent's ear and grazed his teeth against his lobe. "Just one little ride." Chase made sure to say it seductively. It was weird, Chase never expected himself to be this way with anyone. Yet it came naturally with Brent.
Chase moved so his forehead was on Brent's now, but made sure to tilt his head in so Brent couldn't sneak attack and kiss him. Chase did move close enough so that their lips were almost touching and when Chase spoke, Brent could feel his breath on his lips. "For me?"

Brent was torn between kicking Chase and kissing him. Well, he supposed he could do both but it probably would be best not to. Again, Chase's actions sent a deep shiver down Brent's spine. He didn't know how much longer of this he could take. "Chase..." he whispered desperately, "D-don't make me do it..." All of this because Brent didn't want to ride on some stupid thestral. It was ridiculously awesome; Brent was loving and hating every minute of it. Brent shivered a little again as he felt Chase's breath on his lips. This was it now. Brent gave up. "Fine..." he said through gritted teeth, trying -and failing- to give Chase his best deathglare when all he really wanted to do was kiss him.[/ul]

Chase smiled widely as he felt Brent shiver. He laughed at him. It was so adorable. Chase almost said screw it himself and started kissing Brent again, but he forced himself not to. He wanted Brent to ride the thestrals. He just had to keep reminding himself of that. Often....
Almost giving in when Brent started to plead with Chase, he held strong. Remembering the thestrals. He was positive that they wouldn't hurt Brent. They were really nice creatures. ...Most of the time...
Chase smiled widely as Brent finally gave in. Chase knew he would eventually. Thanking Brent in the one way he knew Brent would want he pressed his lips on his. Deepening it a little, but not as much as before. Chase almost forgot at first, but broke away soon. After the ride... "I love you, Boo."
Letting go of Brent, he walked about 20 yards to a thestral. Petting it gently before hopping on its back. Chase turned it slightly and had it walk over to Brent. Chase almost laughed, thinking that to Brent, this looked like he was riding on nothing but air.
Chase held out his hand in an offer to help Brent up. Chase couldn't stop smiling.

Brent thought to himself slightly bitterly. This was all Chase's fault again, Brent kept telling himself that and wouldn't forget it. Brent couldn't help but cheer up a little as Chase kissed him again even if he would still have to ride one of those monsters. Chase would be there with him. And that was all that mattered, right? Holding onto Chase tightly, Brent kissed back; making the most of it before he died (or before he thought he would die). He let out a loud sigh as Chase broke the kiss and mumbled in reply, a small smirk on his lips, "I know you do, Chay-Chay." Brent sighed again, even louder, as Chase let go of him and walked away; probably towards a thestral but Brent obviously couldn't tell. Brent bit his lip and tried not to laugh at how ridiculous this looked to him: Chase petting air and now riding it too. Brent bit down harder on his lip as Chase offered his hand out to him. He really didn't want to do this but he practically didn't have a choice now. And Chase's smile was kind of very adorably attractive. Rolling his eyes, Brent trudged over to Chase and where the thestral had to be. He took Chase's hand a managed to hoist himself upwards onto the thestral's back which really was quite a challenge as he had no idea what he was doing. Brent got there eventually though and sat behind Chase; his arms tightly around his waist and his face hiding in Chase's neck. "Let's get this over with then." Brent said shakily, terrified, uncomfortable and not feeling any better even though Chase was right there with him. Brent really did hate animals, especially magical ones.[/ul]

Chase smiled as Brent said that he knew he did. He was kind of worrying about the fact that he had kind of forced Brent into this. He knew Brent didn't like animals. But Chase loved them, and he would never do anything to hurt Brent. He wanted the exact opposite. "Good." Chase smiled at him.
It took everything Chase had not to laugh at Brent when he sighed extremely loud when he had walked away from Brent. It was so cute in Chase's mind. Anything about Brent was cute in Chase's mind. Chase was surprised and impressed when Brent was able to get up on the thestral with fairly good ease. He expected to have to get off and help Brent up. But that wasn't necessary.
After Brent seemed settled behind Chase, he felt arms wrap around him and Brent's face in his neck. Chase could tell that Brent was terrified to be doing this. But Chase would be right there with him.
"As you command, Boo-Boo. Hold on tight!" Chase laughed and tapped the Thestral on the neck a bit, telling her to take off. Chase smiled as he felt the air against his face. His hair flapping in the wind. Oh great, I'm going to have to hear about how this messed up his hair.
"See. This isn't so bad! It's peaceful." Chase tapped the Thestral's neck again, signaling to go up a bit more. They were flying just over the tree tops of the forbidden forest. Chase could see the Black Lake, and the castle. It just calmed him down.

. Brent let out a growl of frustration but said nothing, this was something for him to complain about later when he wasn't this high up in the air and feeling sick and petrified. How was this peaceful? It was a nightmare. Brent hated it and made sure to never do anything like this again, not for anyone or anything. "Make it go down or I'm gonna puke on you." Brent said quickly, his face very pale and his stomach churning. He wasn't joking.[/ul]
