Reid sighed after Alex stopped teasing him. He often wondered the same thing. Why did he have to work so much. Like Alex, he just wanted to stay like this forever. Reid wrapped his arms around Alex, holding him tight. He wanted it to be like this forever. "I wish we could stay like this too. You make my life so much more enjoyable. And this, holding you like this, never gets old."
He looked down at Alex, he really didn't want him to leave. If he didn't want to then who was Reid to make him. "Of course you can stay here. You were the one who said you had to leave. I sadly do have to get back to work though." He moved Alex off his lap and onto the couch next to him. He went to his desk, gathered the work he planned on finishing tonight, and brought it back to the couch. "I can work from here as easily as I can my desk. I'm not sure how much fun watching me work can be, but you can stay here and relax if you want." He kind of liked the thought of Alex here just to be here.

Alex gave a small pout on being moved onto the sofa beside Reid. Those five minutes had flown by much too fast. But Alex knew that it was for the best. The guy had to work. And now Alex had to stay quiet and not get in the way. "Its okay... I'll try not to be a bother." Alex chuckled lightly. He kicked off his shoes and put them near the fire to warm themselves before clambering back onto the sofa. He sat there in silence for a few minutes, leaning back into the sofa, just watching Reid work. But Alex quickly grew bored. As nice as it was just watching the guy for whom he felt greatly for... it was still a bit boring. With a shrug, he dug around in his backpack for a muggle toy that a small wizard boy had given him in the hospital. A rubix cube. Alex curled into the corner of the sofa, bringing his legs up and laying them flat, crossing his ankles. He inspected the toy for a moment before beginning to twist corners. "Do you often put overtime in, Ree?" Alexander inquired, still spinning the coloured square in his hands. He was good at logic games but this... he had never played this game before. "I sometimes get given weird shifts. Once I got a night shift and then I got signed onto for the morning shift straight after... stupid me didn't realize the mistake until I was on the ward in my Healer robe." Alex snickered to himself. That had been one terrible day. The spaniard now had one main face done. His eyebrows were furrowed in concentration as he planned his next few moves - it wasn't too hard if you knew how to do it. Ten minutes later and the cube looked solved. Alex began to giggle and held the cube up. But his cheer didn't last long. There were two squares that were in the wrong places. And they were right next to each other aswell. Alex grumbled and stuffed the cube into the sofa cushion for Reid to find and play with if he ever got bored doing overtime again. Alex crawled over to Reid in defeat and lay on the sofa, this time with his head rested gently on his leg. "Muggles and there darn toys." He huffed, closing his eyes, feeling tired all of a sudden. Reid's leg was comfortable.. "That wasn't fun at all."

Reid concentrated mostly on his work but he couldn't help but notice what Alex was doing. He, unlike Alex, knew what a rubix cube was. He thought that Alex had a good chance at solving it and by the looks of it a few minutes later, he was right. He had wondered what Alex would do while he worked, but it was apparent that Alex had no idea either.
He was about to suggest a book from his bookshelf when Alex decided to use his leg as a pillow. It was actually kind of sweet. He stopped his work for a few minutes to watch Alex. He had a feeling that he would be asleep within a few minutes. Reid could still do his work with Alex there so he wasn't worried if he did sleep. He ran his hand through Alex's hair a few times, knowing that Alex loved it. "Good night my sweet Jay-bird." Minutes later Alex was asleep.
Reid continued to work for several more hours. It was nearly two in the morning before he couldn't keep his eyes open any longer. Alex was still sound asleep on his leg and since he didn't have the heart to move him, he decided to just sleep in his office tonight. It wouldn't be the first time it happened and likely wouldn't be the last. He put his paperwork on the table, kicked off his shoes and leaned back against the couch. It wasn't the most comfortable way to sleep, but he just didn't want to move Alex. He closed his eyes and soon joined Alex in dreamland.

Dread. That was Alex woke with. The spaniard had slept soundly for the most part of the night but then something clicked. He wasn't sleeping in his bed! Alex snapped his eyes open and sat bolt upright, forgetting for a moment where he had drifted off to. He saw Reid, asleep, and the panic subsided partially. He quickly shook his wrist to shake out his silver watch-bracelet. Of a morning it would wake him at the right time by burning and tightening around his wrist. And the clock face didn't say the time, instead, it'd say what he was meant to be doing. And now it read: Sleeping. Alex drew a long sigh of relief and flopped back onto Reid's lap. He wasn't running late for work. But so intense the feeling of dread had been that he felt his heart pounding in his chest and his skin was clammy, pale and sticky from perspiration. "C'mon, Ree. Acuéstate bien. Lie down properly." Alex had sat up again and was now trying to manuever Reid's sleeping body to lie on the couch. Who knew up until what time he had been working. And sleeping in that postion couldn't be very comfortable. Alex had tried his best not to stir Reid while he moved him so he lay down. The young man just sat there, staring into the glowing embers which were all that was left of the crackling flames from before. ""I ended up staying longer than expected..." Alex chuckled faintly, moving hairs from Reid's face with his thumb. "In a way... This was the first night we've spent together...since being together."

Reid felt like he had just fell asleep when he felt Alex stirring. There was no way it was already morning, was there? He felt Alex play with his hair and there might have been something said, but he wasn't sure. He didn't want to wake but it seemed like there was no way around it.
He opened his eyes are realized he wasn't in the same position he was when he went to sleep. Neither was Alex for that matter. He looked at Alex, hair mused and cute as ever. He looked at his watch to see that it really hadn't been long since he went to sleep. "Why are you awake? We still have a few hours to sleep." He moved to get comfortable on the couch. He laid on his side and gestured for Alex to lay next to him. "Come on, let's go back to sleep."

Watching how Reid stirred from the grasp sleep had on him, Alex smiled with pinkening cheeks. It was sweet, in a sleepy way. It was definitely something that Alex wouldn't mind waking up to see on a morning. He didn't need to be offered twice that he lay down beside Reid. As soon as he had finished speaking, Alec was already nestling into him, snugging his face into his neck. "I thought it was late and... I panicked." Alex answered truthfully. It sounded a bit stupid...but it was a terrible feeling when you woke of a morning, not knowing with certainty what time it is. "Sleeping more... sounds good." Alex purred into Reid's ear, gently tracing his earlobe with his finger. "I just wish we were in my bed. It'd be much more comfortable... but then being this close isn't so bad." The spaniard moved closer the last inch and planted a gentle kiss on Reid's cheek, and then another, and another, and another, until he had made his way down to Reid's neck. "How long do we have to sleep again?"

He liked having Alex this close. The kisses he was raining down on him weren't bad either. "While your bed would be more comfortable I think that we would spend the...4 hours we have together doing everything but sleep. Not that I would be opposed to that mind you." Reid really should just shut up. He wasn't good with his words when he was half asleep.
He caught Alex's lips with his own. It wasn't a long one, but it did make him smile. "Sleep Jay. I have a feeling we will both need it." He wrapped his arm around Alex's waist and got comfortable. He could get used to this. "Good night Jay." He said sleepily. Within minutes he was asleep again, comfortable in the arms of the man he loved.

"I wouldn't of opposed either..." Alex murmured under his breath once he was sure Reid was asleep. He could wait a little longer, he supposed. It had been a while since he had any attention like that... Maybe two weeks around there. Too much time for Alex, he mused with a cheeky giggle. The young man banished that trail of thought from his mind so he could sleep in peace, snugging closer into the sleeping man, feeling safe in hid warmth. Alex loved Reid. That was what he had to be feeling, because he had never felt anything quite like it. Not this kind of love anyway. "Buenas noches, Ree."
"Noo.... Not yet." Alexander moaned groggily a few hours later. His eyes were still closed but his bracelet-watch was heating up, coming close t burning him, waking him up. "Too eeearly..." Alex whined, flapping his arm feebly to get the magical device to cool down and let him get a few more minutes. "Ree... Tell it that I don't want to get up." The young man slurred sleepily, lifting his leg up onto Reid's front, still shaking his wrist weakly. Waking up in the middle of the night was fine for Alex but mornings...they were terrible on him. He wasn't a morning person.

Reid woke to Alex moving...a lot. What the hell was wrong with the man. He barely heard Alex say something about making it stop. Make what stop? He didn't know.
He pulled Alex close and mumbled to him "Just five more minutes love." He was too tired to realize that he had just called Alex 'love'. He just wanted a few more minutes with him before he started yet another crazy day at work.
He laid there for a few minutes before opening his eyes. He really wished he could sleep all day. Alex had quit his shaking and was snuggled back into his chest. "Morning sunshine. As much as neither of us wants to, we have to get up and get ready for the day." He kissed Alex briefly on the lips hoping it would wake him up.

His silver bracelet-watch had eventually cooled down enough for Alex to stop waving his wrist. He snugged back into Reid's chest and took the extra five minutes gladly. And these minutes seemed to go even faster than the supposed "five minutes, then home" from yesterday. Alex felt like he had only just shut his eyes when it was time to open them again. "Bleh...work." Alex grumbled. He cheered up quite a bit though on getting a kiss. "I could get used to these kinda wake ups." Alex yawned loudly, forcing it to stay in his mouth with his hand, stretching his lanky frame as long as it would go before falling limp. Alex sighed. "Time to get up, I guess." He pushed himself up to sit, scratching his tousled hair in z sleepy way, looking about with one eye closed. "Nooo." Alex whined, hastily turning around and flopping on top of Reid. "I want to stay in bed with you. Or sofa. Or whatever.... Ten more minuuuutes?"

Reid giggled. Alex was so cute when he first got up. He didn't want him to leave as much as Alex didn't want to leave. Unfortunately they both had jobs they needed to get ready for.
He was about to sit up when Alex flopped on top of him. He chuckled again. Alex was like a little child when it came to getting up. It was cute in a way. He wrapped his arms around Alex's back got comfortable. "Fine ten more minutes. After that we really should get up. You need to go home and get ready and I need to change my clothes." He sighed and snuggled down a bit more. "Until then, we can take comfort in being with each other."

Alex was so comfortable. He really did not fancy going to work. But he knew that he'd be needed and, besides, a Healer calling in sick was usually unheard of. Most of the other Healers-In-Training were already self-medicating a month into the job. And they'd all found out that taking Calming Draught when not needed was a weird yet wonderful thing. It was like a drug of sort. "I should shower, too." Alex mused, tugging at his hair, he hadn't bathed since.... yesterday. "You could... y'know... come an' get ready at my flat if you wanted." The spaniard tried to say it with a straight face but couldn't. He threw his head into Reid's neck, biting his bottom lip as he did. The man could take it how he wanted to. Alex just wanted to share just a teeny bit more time with him. Even if it invaded the personal realms. "You... could come eat breakfast while you're there?"

"Go to Alex's... He could spend a little bit more time with him and who knows, have a little bit of fun in the process. They wouldn't go too far, it was still too early for that. That and a little breakfast couldn't hurt, could it?
"Sure. I'd like to come over if you are sure you don't mind. I would love to spend more time with you and I have to have some more of your cooking." He smiled at Alex and kissed him one more time.
He held Alex until he knew they couldn't stay there any longer. "Jay, we have to get up now if we want to be on time for work."
