Being Cold is So Last Year [CLOSED]

He smiled at her. "Yeah, we finally have a common link. Have you always play Seeker? What's your favorite professional team?"

He thought their hands were made for each other. He looked at them. He liked holding her hand. Would it be weird to say something about it to her? Oh well, he was going to do it anyways. "You know, I kind of like holding your hand." Wow, that sounded kind of creepy. "What I mean is, you are different. I know I just met you but I just feel some connection with you that I don't other girls."

"No, I'm playing seeker just this year." she told him and began to think about a team that she actually liked. "Hmmm... It's a tie between the Bulgarian team and the Irish Team." she answered him with a smile.

She blushed suddenly when her mind processed what he just said. He likes holding her hands? Then she smiled again, still blushing. "I'm glad you like my hands then... And you look more adorable when your nervous. Learn to relax. I don't bite." she told him.

Even if she met him for the first time, she definitely liked him. "And your not like the rest of the males I've met at Hogwarts." she began and softly gave him a soft smirk, "Didn't anyone tell you, everyone is unique, even twins." she finished.

Hmm...so she was on the team this year. That could help narrow down which House she is in. There were only two teams that had new Seekers this year. He could easily figure that out. "Or I could just ask her...nah."

"You are only playing this year? Wait, why wouldn't you play next year?" He realized there were many logical answers to that question. He just didn't want to figure out which one it is.

He blushed when she said he wasn't like anyone else. He never thought he was that special. He has never had a girl tell him that before. Wasn't he supposed to be the one to say things like that? "Th-thanks. You are different than others too. I-I like that fact."

Blaze sighed but smiled still. "Apparently, this is my last year here. At the end of the last term, I'll graduate and leave Hogwarts." she told him honestly. She was starting to wonder why she was being very honest to him. She must really like him to have been so. She wasn't complaining though.

"That is why I'm only playing this year. I was a beater last year. But I 'm still looking up at possible options on what I would do after Hogwarts." she told him as she rubbed her hands in his hands again.

She just had to giggle. James was becoming more adorable as he kept blushing and acting nervous around her. "Hey, didn't I tell you to relax? I don't bite." she told him with a wink of mischief.

Relax! He didn't think he could relax. This was new. It was different. He wasn't sure how to act or reaction or...bloody hell! He had this beautiful girl in front of him. He took a sigh and looked at Blaze. She was amazing. He wanted to see this through, well at least today.

He thought about the other things she said. She was a seventh year. Hmm...should he tell her that he's a year younger than her? If he wanted anything to happen with her ("Where the hell did that come from?!") then he needed to start things with honesty. "Oh, you are a seventh year? I kind of wish I was leaving this year. I still have one more after that." Well, that was subtle.

Blaze was surprised to hear that James was actually a year younger than her. She blushed and was trying to hide her embarrassment. This gorgeous guy in front of him was actually a sixth year of Hogwarts. But she didn't dwell on it now. Too late for it.

"Oh... You're a sixth year... Well, that is surprising to know... Do you mind that I'm older James?" she asked him. "Because, I don't really mind much... You don't really look like a sixth year though..." she thought to herself. She liked this guy. Seriously.

This made her feel old and was about to pull her hands away from him. Now that he knew she was a seventh year, he might not like her more than a friend now. "Wait a minute... You were actually hoping he would like you more than a friend if you were in his year? What would he say if he knew who you really are and from which house you are? What then?" her mind yelled at her.

She had thought of that though. She just liked him because he was different.

James was kind of surprised, she didn't seem to care that he was younger. This was good. "No, I don't mind. Why would I mind? You are...different than other girls. I don't know why, but I feel pulled to you in some way." He sighed. Damn, there he went with his mouth again.

He noticed the twitch of her hand like she was going to take it away. He really didn't want that. He liked holding her hand. He didn't want to say anything so he just tightened his grip on hand a bit. It was still comfortable, not too tight but not too slack either.

He was starting to find that he wanted to know her even more. He liked her. He didn't care how people reacted to her. Hell he didn't even care how he reacted to anything she said. He just wanted to know her.

Blaze was shocked that James tighten his grip on her hands. She was really touchy right now. She wanted to just hold James right now. And she didn't know why. She had never felt so happy with someone who was a guy.

"J-james... I..."she stuttered. Slytherin's name! She actually stuttered. Now her blush was getting redder and she knew it. She could feel her face getting hotter by the second. James was staring at her and she just wanted to melt.

"Seriously... What is with this guy? And how is he able to make me feel this way???" she asked herself. She wanted to hug him and never let go. And she wondered why.

James rather liked it when Blaze blushed. He was even happier that he was the reason it was there. He couldn't help but say what came out of his mouth. "You know, you look even more beautiful when you blush like that." He smiled.

He realized how loud it was and how much he wanted to spend time with her one on one. He thought that maybe they could go somewhere, just themselves. He wasn't sure how she would take it but he didn't think it could hurt to ask.

"Blaze, I have an idea. I really want to get to know you better but it's awful loud in here and there's no privacy to open up. How about we head back to the castle, assuming that you don't need to get anything in town, and talk. I know the perfect place to do it. No one will disturb us there. And before you get mad, nothing will happen. I just want to talk to you. I promise to be the perfect gentlemen."

She was stunned to say the least. And her cheeks felt like it were in flames. But she smiled and nodded. Thought her blush was still on her face, she was glad that it was the guy in front of her that was making her have it. James was already a gentleman. Is there more that she had to know of him?

But then she dreaded the part were they have to 'open up' to each other. He might not like her once he knew that she was a Slytherin.

Come to think of it, she didn't know which house he was from as well. She just hope he wasn't a Gryffindor. That would be just... Well, it would make everything a little bit more complicated. She looked at him and gave him an approving smile.

"Sure, a talk would be nice. However, you cannot let go of my hands. I did say that I didn't have any gloves. And the weather is cold outside." she told him.

James smiled. She had agreed to go with him. He thought that she might like the peace and quiet the Room of Requirement gave. It would also be more comfortable and warm. He didn't like that she forgot her gloves though. It was time to prove just how much of a gentleman he was.

He stood and helped her out of her seat. Once she was up he reached into his pocjet for his gloves. Instead of putting them on himself he held them out to Blaze, offering them to her. "Here, you can wear mine. I'd rather you keep your hands warm than worry about myself." He hoped she would take them. He was just trying to look out for her. Hopefully she appreciated it and didn't make him look like an idiot.

Blaze wanted to just give him a hug for him trying to be perfect. But knew a better way for them to keep warm as they head back to the castle. She took the gloves but didn't wear both of them on herself.

"I think we can share this pair of gloves." she said as she wore the left glove on her left hand, and she took James' right hand and placed the right glove on it. Then with a smile, she held his left hand with her right.

"There, we can both keep warm now as we head back." she told him with a warm smile. She didn't know but she wanted to keep him now. No matter which house he was from. She didn't care.

James couldn't help the huge smile on his face. One glove each. He never would have thought about that. He wasnt going to complain that she wanted to keep ahold of his hand. He wanted to do the same thing. He couldn't get enough of her. He ha never felt this way for a girl before. It was so new. Maybe he would have to talk to his dad about this. "On second thought, maybe I should see if this goes anywhere first. Dad is spending all his time with Mr. Malfoy, he doesn't need me bugging him about girls."

He pulled Blaze to the door of the Broomsticks. It was a harder feat than it seemed. There were way too many people in there.

Once outside he smiled at his companion and started the journey back to the castle. Today was a good day in his opinion.
