Andrew noticed the healer's movement and did his best to hide his smirk. He had finally succeeded in make the other man notice was he was doing. He kept licking his ice cream with an angelic smile on his face.
"I'm going over a few plans with my father and mother. But they'll let me do whatever I want still..." he began. "So, I'm thinking of either being a teacher or a healer... The only two professions that I would even consider." he finished as he continued licking his ice cream.
"My parents will know where I am, you need not worry about them wondering if they will worry about me or not." Andrew said and finished his ice cream as he popped the tip of the cone into his mouth and smiled again angelically.

Alex didn't look back at Andrew until he heard him crunching on his last piece of cone wafer. Until then he had distracted himself with his peacock feather quill, doodling Alex-like nonsense onto the page which he had been jotting mushy lyrics on to. He was a man. He had an excuse. "Being a Healer myself... I'd suggest that." Alex gave a half chuckle and snapped his diary journal shut with a small noise. "You can specialize yourself in quite a few fields. I started off in injuries and that but... blood. I can't take too much of it. So I went for poisons and such. Weird how I can stomach vomit better than blood." Alex shrugged, not caring in the slighest that he had been rambling. He loved his job and he liked to talk about Healer stuff.
"You get to meet people, too. And its not like every day is the same. You've got some strange witches and wizards out there that have no common sense whatsoever. Take the other day for example...." Alex paused to stretch leisurely, his striped shirt riding up just an inch before he hastily tugged it back. "I'm a shady stranger. I say that I'm selling five mililitre vials of Felix.... do you take it?" He snorted and shook his head. "Some people do."

Andrew laughed as Alex quickly pulled down his shirt that went up just a little bit. He then crossed his arms. "Blood doesn't really bother me at all. It's quite... Amusing to look at really. How everyone, muggles and wizards alike strive to not lose blood to avoid dying." Andrew spoke.
"It's the very root of what we wizards have in common with muggles. Like them, we too fear to die. If we don't have blood, we die. No amount of magic can help if you lose too much blood and bleed to death. It's not like you can use water to replace blood." he continued explaining.
"Another about being a healer is that when I see people in need of medical help, it's like having sex in some sense. You move from one patient to another until you come to the last patient at the end of the day." Andrew smiled so simply. Like it was so precious to help people.

"But another thing that differs us from muggles is that we, the wizards, have Blood Replenishing potions. So... that." Alex snickered. Just the other day he had been looking frantically about in his Healer kit for one of those potions for Chase. The guy had lost alot of blood from a gash inflicted by a spooked Thestral, enough so that he was light-headed after. But Alex really didn't know how Andrew could find blood interesting. When covered in his friend's life liquid the only thing Alex was interested in was showering.
Alexander quirked an eyebrow when he compared his job to sex. It was a rather peculiar comparison but Alex could see where he was getting at. He was no stranger to "flitting between beds", be those of patients or not. Alex swallowed hard. But that Alex was gone. That was all in the past now. His one and only patient outside of the hospital was Reid, to put it in a way. "I like to care for people 'cause... you never know when it'll be me in trouble and... I'd like to think that someone would help me out." There had been a couple of times when he'd found himself in less than desirable situations. "You ever been to a muggle hospital? Those places are barbaric.... one night I... well, I'm not too sure what I was doing but I fell somewhere or something. Broke my arm. Some muggle found me and took me to their hospital. Sweet merlin... never has something hurt so much."

He laughed. Muggle hospitals were indeed barbaric. He once had the displeasure of visiting one when his father brought him there to visit a very distant relative. He sighed, "Unfortunately, I already had the displeasure of visiting one muggle hospital some years ago. It was not a moment I wish to relive." he explained.
Andrew shook his head, "Don't get me wrong, Alex. But I meant sex by having that same adrenaline you have when you are with the one you love in bed. When you want to pamper and just snog them senseless until it gets hard for the both of you to breathe. Its like that." Andrew explained.
Then he laughed. "You broke your arm? Where was your wand? And what were you doing in the muggle world?" he asked in curiosity. Just have wild does Alex live his life? He was starting to appeal to Andrew on a strange level.

Alex glanced over in Andrew's direction. This guy, so nonchalant, was talking about sex. This was a topic Alex usually felt at ease with but, let's face it, he was his senior by a few years. The word "awkward" fitted in nicely here. Alex brushed it off with a shrug. But he was right. "Yeah... and everything else seems to lose importance. Its just you and them. Melting between breaths and sheets. Feeling infinite yet so close." Alex propped his chin up by his hand. He could do with some Reid now. A smile was tickling his lips. Feeling that it was perhaps a bit too dreamy, Alex cleared his throat and sat back in his chair, folding his arms defensively over his chest. He was a man in love. Like some teenager.
"Sometimes when I go out I leave my wand at home." Alex peered down at his nails, inspecting them carefully. "It avoids questions, you see. And once I had a muggle find it, silly man thought it was some toy. Its just easier to just not take it if I go to muggle clubs." And it also couldn't get lost when he left it at home. One morning he woke and realized with a dread that he had never felt before that his wand was no where to be found. After retracing his steps, he found it in on the dirt track that cut through an empty allotment. "Muggles are pretty harmless so a wand really isn't needed. I've only had one bad run in with one but... that's in the past now."

Andrew understood about muggles thinking it would be just some toy. "I think we shouldn't discuss past events here. It doesn't seem appropriate for this wonderful day." Andrew smiled angelically and leaned on the table, closer to Alex.
"Mr. Healer, please don't treat me like a student. I am about to graduate and I am but a few years younger. You can look at me as a younger friend. You seem to be a bit nervous and awkward a few minutes ago." Andrew pointed out with a smile. The last thing he wanted was an awkward moment.
"I think i should thank the pavement for making me trip and fall. If not, i would not have met such a nice man today." He showed Alex his precious angelic smile that both men and women would fall over just seeing it. And Andrew wasn't exaggerating.

"I'll stop treating you like a student if... you stop calling me Mr. Healer." Alex leaned back on the table, pressing his elbow on it to prop his chin up with the palm of his hand. Andrew had drawn closer too but the man didn't pull away. "Its only fair that way. So, please do call me Alex or Jay, okay?"
Alexander let loose a small peal of laughter when Andrew said about thanking the pavement. Was this teenager trying to make a move of sort? Alex doubted it. It was probably just shameless flirting. Something which Alex didn't really mind too much. "And I wouldn't have pleasant company to share this lovely day with." He flashed him a smile and a small wink. He had to admit that Andrew had quite the dazzling smile. If he weren't so head over heels for Reid maybe... just maybe he'd find that attractive. Not that it wasn't charming.
"You know, I'd never guess that you'd be a snake, Andrew. Unless... there's a side that I don't know about." Alex's smile twisted into a faint smirk. His own class had suited him quite well back in his Hogwarts years. He had studied hard and was witty when he wanted to be. Alex thought that snakes were... cold people, with tongues like serpents and the like. But Andrew didn't seem anything like that. He seemed... nice.

Andrew laughed heartily. "A very huge misconception on all of us current seventh years. I for one am not a cold and cruel slytherin. Blaze on the other hand is cold and cruel to other houses simply because she fears being mistreated by them. But in truth, she is sweet and a ball of fun." he told her.
"And for once, I am glad to have allowed my parents to pull me out of school on a weekend. If not, I might haven't shared an ice cream with a new friend." he added and smiled.
"Fine, I shall refer to you as Alex then. Jay seems a bit to... familiar." he told the older man. "I have another side to my being that only few have seen. Would you like to see it?" he asked cheekily. He was starting to like this man. h was interesting and a challenge.

Andrew saw him as a friend? Well, that was nice. Alex always enjoyed meeting people they could class him as that. He didn't have too many friends per se. Just people he'd meet up with to go downtown. The kind that watched your back and all that crap. But Andrew caught his interest when he started to go on about this "other side" of this. Alex twirled his quill in his other hand and raised a questioning eyebrow.
"I hope you mean this little, sweet side you have." He chuckled, lazily reaching over to tickle the younger man under his chin with the peacock feather for a moment. Alex thought for a second that he was possibly hinting at something else. Something that was on a whole new level of friendly. But then, Alex was Alex, he was the definition of dirty mind. He had an ability to misread anything and everything. "Humor me. What is this side you have. Do I want to see it?"

Andrew smirked, "That side is very much amusing. However, it depends which side you wish to see. I have many sides to be that leaves people amazed, every time." he said cheekily. Alex was indeed amusing and Andrew liked that part of this man.
"Humor you? How do you wish me to do that, Alex?" Andrew's cheeky smiled turned into a more mature smirk, it looked like he was challenging Alex subtly. But then again, Andrew knew better than to flirt with men in public.
Then he smiled sweetly again, "Your already seeing my sweet side, Alex. The deeper sweet side of mine tends to be touchy. Since I would have to hold people's hand and/or waist to be even sweeter to them." Andrew told him.

Alex's mind was screaming "innuendos, innuendos, everywhere", something that could only be expected of him. Something in his gut told him that it'd probably be best if he came up with some half-assed excuse to skedaddle on out. But this was rather fun. In a strange way. Alex wasn't stupid though. He wouldn't do anything foolish. "I can think of a few ways someone like me could be humored." Alex met Andrew's smirk with his own playful one. "But that's all for me to know, and for you to find out." Okay, maybe not find out. But for Alex to know and for Andrew to only guess.
"But I'd rather you didn't get all touchy. This side, how you are right now, is fine for me." Alex glanced over his shoulder at the street bustling with people. This conversation was... turning out strange. He could pick out second meanings to everything. Maybe it would probably be for the best if he toned things down a bit, not give Andrew something to easily go on. "Andrew..." He muttered in a warning tone. "Maybe we should talk about something else. And now about 'sides that people don't know'."

Andrew could feel Alex's emotions. He was getting nervous and that was the last thing Andrew wanted. It was going to ruin the beautiful morning. And the second was the arrival of his parents and taking him away. But he was sure he was going to see this man again.
"It seems that I am making you uncomfortable. My apologies. I shall contain back myself. Please be at ease. I shall not make you feel awkward from now on." Andrew reassured Alex with a sweet tone.
"However, the next time we meet again, I shall have to discover what humors you, Alex. It's something I shall think about it." he added with a half smile half smirk.
Just then, Andrew's younger sister, Denise stopped by his side. "There you are. I've been looking over for you. Mother and Father asked me to find you. We're about to find a place to have lunch. And you'll have to be fitted after for your robes for the farewell party." she said as she materialized an invitation for two.
"You're cordially invited to my farewell ball." she told him with a sweet smile similar to Andrew's. "I would be glad to see you there." she added and pulled her brother up and dragging him away, not allowing Andrew to say good-bye.
(We'll have a party!!! I'll request for a house!!! And Adrew shall meet Alex again. With Reid next time. Hahaha...)

It wasn't that this conversation was making Alex feel uncomfortable because of the topic but... it just didn't feel right. Not now that he was actually dating someone. But then... this wasn't flirting, was it? No one had really said anything. And there had been no awkward touching either or accidental brushing of the hands. Alex was confused. Where did he draw the line now? "S'alright, Andrew, I'm fine. Really, I am." He snickered lightly. "It'd take alot more than this to make me, Alex, feel properly uncomfortable."
Then, out of the blue, appeared what Alex guessed was the sister that was going to France soon. She handed him a fine looking invitation and Alex fingered it delicately, as if it were to break, while he inspected it. It was for two? That meant... Reid could come, right?
Before he could even say thanks or introduce himself, the girl was dragging Andrew away. Alex smiled and lifted a hand in goodbye to the pair before they mixed in with the usual hub-bub of the street. "Hasta la próxima, Andrew..." Alex murmured to himself, looking down at the paper invite with a small smile. This had turned out to be an entertaining morning. The farewell ball looked promising and it'd probably be for the best that he didn't turn it down. Alex supposed that maybe he could find a sort of friend in Andrew, he was a pretty interesting guy.
After all. This meant he could go shopping for dress robes now.
(Hasta la próxima - until next time.)
