Andrew was a bit nervous but knew that he had to do what he was told or everyone else will suffer. And the fact that what he was about to do was right up his alley, it didn't make him feel less nervous at all. Good thing he had a reason to see Professor McKinney. his defense homework was a mess and he definitely needed help.
He took a deep breath and knocked. He slowly pushed open the door and peaked in. "Hello? Professor McKinney?" he called out. "Are you in here? I kind of need your help." he spoke a loud, hoping the Professor was there.
He was still wondering what the Ravenclaw Head did that made his Head of House so mad. It must have been very very very bad to have her make this evil plan.

He entered the classroom and headed straight for the table. He was holding the rolls of parchments he had with him that contained his homework that looked like it was done by a first year. Andrew sighed to himself. He wasn't that good at DADA but was skilled on other things.
"The homework you gave us about vampires and werewolves is troubling me, sir. I've read a great deal of books at the library the other day but I didn't find anything that seemed important." he said as he gently placed his parchments on the table. He looked hopeful. Everything was starting out alright.
"So, I was hoping you could help me since it's your forte and you know a lot about it." he charmed a little. Teachers loved to be praised. He smiled slightly, not in a big way since he was a slytherin and all.

work on his behalf. It would be for a good cause though. And anyway, as Brent had to keep reminding himself, this was his job. Helping students was part of it, whether he liked to or not. Brent knew if he wasn't in such a good mood he would flat out decline to help Andrew but since he wasn't being his usual grouchy self, decided he'd lend the Slytherin a hand... at least until he fully lost the will to live. His suspicions had been confirmed as Andrew revealed why he needed Brent's help. "Well, what you write doesn't have to be important, as long as it's true then just put it down. I don't really mind." he explained as he took a seat next to Andrew before quickly pulling out his wand and summoning two books: one focusing on vampires, the other on werewolves. "Yeah, yeah. They didn't just pick me for the post of DADA professor for my pretty face." he chuckled. He liked this guy already. Anyone that complimented him, however small a compliment it may've been, automatically made it into Brent's good books. "So, have you already made a start on your essay yet or not?" he questioned the seventh year as he peered over at his parchment.[/ul]

Andrew hid his smirk. then he pretended to blush and scratch his head as he looked away. He took one of the parchments and opened it. Andrew showed Brent his neat hand written unfinished report. In it were about the myth of the vampire's origin:
Lilith, according to Hebrew Jewish texts, was the first woman created for Adam. After his failure, she was allowed to stay out on her own, as a witch, mother of all demons. She was allowed to kill infants up until their naming day (7 days for girls and 8 days for boys), unless they had a charm over their sleeping place with the names of the angels on them. Then, she promised, she would not kill them.
Cain was the firstborn son of Adam and Eve. He was banished, with a mark, from the land of his parents because he killed his brother in a jealous rage. In some of the legends of Jewish midrash, Cain is actually the product of an adulterous affair between Eve and the fallen angel Samael. Tellingly, Eve has a dream prior to the fratricide in which she sees, “the blood of Abel flow into the mouth of Cain, who drank it with avidity.” After the murder of Abel, Cain wandered until he found Lilith by the Red Sea. She took him in and showed him the power of blood.
From Cain and Lilith came a host of demons and vampires in the vague myths. Cain is mentioned in the Bible as having a number of legitimate children, with an unnamed woman/ wife. Some of his children are even highly regarded, as they are listed with their inventions, such as the harp and metal working. But, past Gen. 4:26 there is no more mention of Cain's children or his line. Cain himself is referred to only twice more, in the New Testament, as "the prototype of the wicked man."
From what there is presented in the Bible, there is little to go on with the myth of Cain and Lilith. Lilith herself appears only in Jewish apocrypha texts-- she is in neither the Torah or the Bible.
Surprisingly, Cain and Lilith’s children resurfaced 1000 years later in the epic poem Beowulf, where the monster Grendel is described as one of the outlawed “clan of Cain” and with much more mention than he ever receives in the Bible. Beowulf was first written down and preserved by monks-- who were the only literate people in their time. The tale originated somewhere in the 600's in England, and was thought to have been written down at a later time.
Andrew sighed and turned to his Professor. "That's all I got really. It's not even worth passing, Professor McKinney. Even you wouldn't be interested in such an ordinary report." he said as he perfected acted as if he was truly degrading himself.

Andrew sighed and knew that he did the homework too well. Not that he'd dream of making a mock homework, it's disgusting to even just imagine it. "That's the thing, Professor... It's stuck." he fell and sat on a table near him and crossed his arms in deep thought.
"I've read book after book after book but nothing came out for me to write... Nothing!" he punched the table with one of his fist. He truly was a slytherin to have acted that way. Slytherins are perfectionists and they never do anything half heartedly.
Andrew turned to face his Professor seriously, "You know that its unacceptable for any seventh year student to submit an incomplete homework, don't you Professor? And to think that I'm from Slytherin House... And... And..." he shuddered at that thought of Professor Minna punishing him for submitting a half arse homework and having poor grades.
"I can see it now... Professor Minna's glares...." he said and shuddered. He braced himself and kept still, trying not to shake so much. "She'll have my head for it." he added in a scared tone.

you can include. Where'd you get that information from? There must be something else you need from the same book." Brent replied with a small smile. Obviously whatever book(s) Andrew had gathered that information from must contain other relevant pieces of information the Slytherin could use to complete his homework. Brent knew to expect work of a high standard from Andrew, he knew Minna did too. There was no reason for him to worry about. "Forget about Theoreux. Just give it your best and I'm sure she'll be impressed. And I better be impressed by it too." he attempted to calm the snake. He knew he'd probably end up lecturing Andrew if he thought he could've done better with his homework by the time it was finished.[/ul]

Andrew stared in disbelief at Professor McKinney. "There must be something I can include?! There must be something else I need from the same book?! Professor, if there was more I could possibly drain from my own mind and from the books I wouldn't be here asking you for help, now would I?!" Andrew hissed in anger.
Was the man seriously retarded? Where the hell did he place his logic? And to think that he was a Professor too! Andrew huffed and crossed his arms. He was thinking how much dram did he need to pin this guy just long enough to hope that Professor Chase would come and see them?
He flipped back his hair and stared at Brent, "Forget about my Head of House? She was the reason I came to ask for your help. If I don't impress her with this project, she'll have something prepared for all us seventh years. Not only has she warned me but the rest of the seventh years as well." he told her.
"And I am to impress you now as well? You know that you just added more pressure on me, didn't you?" he added hissingly.

." Brent snapped finally, his dark eyes narrowing as he glared at Andrew, "I refuse to help anyone who dares to speak to me like that. Be a big boy and get on with your homework yourself, Maxwell."[/ul]

Andrew did his best not to roll his eyes but he sighed and looked like he was hurt and totally crushed. He stood up and slowly approached the table to gather his parchments. "I'm sorry to have bothered you, Professor McKinney..." he said in his most lowest tone and hugged his homework.
"I'm sorry to have spoken so harshly to a teacher... I'm sorry to have even thought that your the only person who could understand the pressure of making a homework worth praising for..." he turned around and shrugged. Andrew's face was now crushed and in the brink of tears.
"Nice going, Andrew... You just had to snap at the only person who could help you..." he scolded himself. "You're so stupid, Andrew." he told himself.

Andrew turned and stared wide eye at Brent. Did the Professor say that he'd still help? Or did he just misheard him. "What did you just say Professor? You're going to help me?" he asked in confusion. How can this man be so confusing? "If you didn't yell at him, he would have helped you in a better state." his mind told him.
Then Andrew turned around and smiled. "Thank you Professor." he said and went back to the seat he had occupied not too long ago. He waited for the man to sit beside him and start the homework again. And at some point, he'll have to do his plan to get the man in trouble. Luck was always on Andrew's side.
"I promise to hold my tongue, Professor. I'm sorry again." he apologized once more for good measure. Things were going good now.

) were sincere and tapped the Slytherin on the shoulder quickly. "Just drop it, let's get on with this." Brent sighed. "I have a couple of books that are my own and I haven't seen anywhere in the library and I promise you can borrow them to finish this homework... but, the problem is, I'm not exactly sure where I've put them." Brent admitted. That was a lie. He had no idea where the book where, not even the faintest of clues.[/ul]

Andrew nodded and smiled at Brent. He knew that the teacher was clueless to where he placed his books. "Professor, I don't mind helping you look for them manually. We might even find other reference books that we might be able to use while searching." Andrew suggested with a smile.
The other problem was how he was going to go with his plan. It was going to be a hard task to get Brent McKinney in a difficult position since he seemed to be a very complicated man. Andrew had to let out a small sigh. He had to do something soon or he might miss a silver opportunity to make his move.
"So, what do you say, Professor? Shall we start searching now?" he asked with his angelic smile that had made Alex Torres waver for a few moments. Andrew was going to have to use everything he had on this man.
