Reid subconsciously wrapped his arms around Alex. It was a natural reflex as of late. This was not how he wanted to start the day. Hell, he never wanted to argue with Alex. "Yes, your standards. You are a famous cook love. I don't just say that due to some 'you're-my-boyfriend-so-I-have-to-like-this' thing, but because I really do."
He sighed. This was getting a bit out of hand. Damn him and his stupid habit of overreacting. "I know you enjoyed them, I make a damn good pancake. I'm surprised you didn't eat mine too."
He pulled Alex into a hug. "I accept your apology but please, baby never doubt me again. That's what hurt the most, the fact that you doubted me, even for a second."

Alex wrapped his arms around Reid's waist. This was getting somewhere. You didn't hold people that you were completely mad at. It didn't phase Alex that Reid, well, had no clothes on. "I would've eaten them too but... I didn't want to be greedy... I still have to fit into a suit for the wedding, sabes." Alex chuckled gently, pressing his cheek against Reid's unclothed chest. It was nice and warm. "Can't gain weight."
Could Alex even gain weight? Was that even possible? Alex didn't want to run any chances now. Just in case. "I'm just... so sorry... I didn't mean that I doubted you like that..,. I just didn't expect--I'm just going to shut up now." Alex looked up again at Reid, his amber eyes wide and giving him a meek smile. "I'm saying all the wrong things this morning, aren't I? Just ignore me... I don't mean a word of it... apart from that you look pretty hot this morning. Rrrr."
Alex actually growled in the bottom of his throat while tickling Reid just behind his ear for effect. He was trying to cheer his fiancé up. Usually he would offer to cook something to cheer him up but... since this whole argument was about cooking it probably wouldn't be for the best if he did. "Its not just you who I'm like that with. I couldn't keep still when Chase was cooking steaks..." Alex rolled his eyes at himself. "But its not like I don't trust any of you... you all just barge right into my flat for Merlin's sake. I'm just... used to cooking."

Reid Almost chuckled when Alex said he almost ate all the pancakes. He didn't like the comment about weight though. Did Alex think he was fat? He wasn't. He was prefect the way he was. "Can't gain weight? Love what are you talking about? You arent fat. Hell some could say you are a bit on the skinny side. I'm not one of those but...damn. Now who can't say the right thing."
He lifted Alex's chin. "I just wanted to surprise you. Maybe we could take turns cooking, breakfast at least. I'm not the best at making much else. That and I really do love your cooking."
Reid sighed. "How about we forget all this and start the morning over? The way I see it you have two options. One, you can give in and go eat my pancakes like I know you really want to. Two, you could join me in the shower. What will it be?"

"I know I'm not fat, nene. And that I'm maybe, possibly, a teency bit thin." Alex rolled his eyes. "But I want to stay this way. I like you being able to pick me up." He confessed with a cheeky giggle. But starting the morning all over again sounded like a great idea. Everything had gone a bit pear-shaped this morning.
"Heh. Okay. That sounds great. And, don't worry, I'm a good teacher. You'll learn how to cook around me." Alex winked, his lips curving into a small smile. He'd need a bigger kitchen soon. It was bad enough cooking with a cat curling around your legs. Two adult men and a mischievous cat begging for scraps was just going to be a nightmare.
"How about..." Alex shrugged his blanket off and broke away from Reid's hold to clamber into the shower. "Shower. Those pancakes'll be cold by now. I'll just eat them after... going to join me?" Alex grinned and peeked around the frosted pane of glass. Showers with Reid were the best. And pancakes didn't beat Reid. Even if they were delicious and prepared by his fiancé.

Reid smiled. That was a good reason he guessed. He still needed to correct Alex though. "Don't worry so much love. I'll still be able to carry you." He smiled at his fiancé. He liked carrying Alex around as much as Alex liked being carried.
He would think more on Alex teaching him how to cook later. For now he needed to join his fiancé in the shower. He wouldn't do much while in there though. He knew Alex was still feeling their activities from the night before. For now, he would just enjoy spending time with Alex. He stepped in and joined Alex. This is how the morning was supposed to start.

Alex grinned when he saw Reid slip into the shower beside him. He didn't want to be long though. He wasn't exactly in the mood for anything other than a few lazy kisses and wet snuggles. Alex was still a bit tired. So he just washed up, helped Reid with his hair, playfully soaping his awesome beard for giggles too, and quickly hopped out. Alex got the fluffier of the two towels and dashed off to his room for... pancakes.
With the towel wrapped snugly around his body and his hair plastered to his forehead and dripping, Alex sat on the bed again. Eating pancakes. Reid's pancakes. The man had said that he could after all. "What if I don't wanna take turns making breakfast?" Alex grinned, one cheek filled with yumminess. "What if I want you to make me pancakes every morning? What if I never wanna cook again? What if I want to only eat pancakes? ...I'm taking this too far now."
Alex rocked side to side, chuckling and sipping his cold, but sweet, tea. "Love you, nene." He smiled, downing the last mouthful of tea and eyeing Reid's. "What do you fancy doing today?"

Reid enjoyed the laid back shower with Alex. There was a few kisses here and there and Alex helped him with his hair, just an excuse to touch his beard he thought. Alex got out first while Reid turned off the water. He watched Alex grab the fluffy towel, leaving him with the not-so-fluffy-but-not-really-rough towel. "Little bastard," he mumbled. He always took the fluffy towel.
He walked into the room to see Alex sitting on the bed, eating his pancakes. He really must of have liked them. "You realize that you are getting the bed wet right? I thought you of all people would never do that."
He chuckled at Alex's little rant. He knew Alex couldn't go very long without cooking. His finace loved cooking too much to do such a thing. "How about we just go day by day with the cooking? We don't have to decide now who will cook when."
He leaned in and kissed Alex. "I love you too baby. I think I'm just going to lounge around the apartment today while you go tell Chase and Brent about last night."

Alex peered around where he sat. He was getting the bed a little bit damp from the excess water from his hair that slithered down his body. Alex gave a little shrug. "I'm going to change these sheets anyway." Alex chirruped. "They smell of sweat." It was a bit of a lie. They didn't really smell but after last night they didn't exactly feel like fresh, crisp sheets any more. Ever since Reid was staying here more often, Alex had found himself changing the sheets more than usual.
"But, yes, that sounds like a better idea. I'll make dinner before I go to work tonight though." Pancakes eaten, Alex set the plate of his bedside table along with his empty cup of tea. He ran his fingers through Reid's cool, damp hair while he kissed him. Alex reluctantly let his fiancé end it to talk, sucking in his bottom lip and rubbing his chin. Damp beard felt weird on his skin.
"Okay but no rummaging about my things just yet. I'm not sure what you'll find." Alex joked with an innocent chuckle. Surely he had nothing too bad that Reid could find. A couple of photos of old friends-turned-flings, perhaps. Yes, they had to go. "I have to sort through everything anyway. I need to make some space."

Reid chuckled at Alex's 'reasoning' behind sitting on the bed. It was probably just some excuse he came up with on the spot but Reid didn't really care. The sheets probably could use a good cleaning. They have been busy the last few nights. He chuckled again.
He closed his eyes as Alex ran his fingers through Reid's hair. He loved with Alex did that. "Maybe you could make it early so that you can have dinner with me? I love having dinner with you." He leaned in for another kiss. "What time do you get off tonight?" He needed to know whether or not to stay up for him or not.
"I promise I won't look though your stuff, I promise. I will just watch a couple of movies or something."

"Sure, I'll make it early." Alex smiled, watching how Reid's eyes closed while he toyed with his hair. "I wouldn't want you eating alone in this tiny flat now. Its lonely. And I doubt you'd want Tootie as sole company." Reid and Tootie snuggled up on his sofa? Sharing the scraps from dinner? As much as Alex would like to imagine it... he just couldn't.
"I get off at around two or three if I get my rounds done without problems." Alex wrapped his arms around Reid's neck, pulling his boyfriend over him as he fell back onto the bed. "You're just going to watch movies?" Alex purred into the other man's lips, catching them with little kisses and nips. "Well, that's no fun."
Alex really didn't fancy going to work later on. He didn't want to leave Reid here and all alone in his tiny flat. He wanted to be with him all the time, every moment of every day. Stupid work... getting in the way. If Alex ever won the lottery, he wanted to buy an island and hideaway there with Reid and his best friends. Work wouldn't bother him there.

Reid smiled. He had hoped that he would get to eat dinner with Alex. It made him happy to spend time with him. Eating dinner together everyday was just one of those domestic things that reminded Reid that they were living together, on their way to being married. "Can you make that really good pasta you made for me that one time. Don't ask me what it was called because I don't remember. I'm just in the mood for the pasta."
He thought about his options on what he could do tonight. He could go out to the bar, but that wasn't any fun anymore without Alex. He could go see a movie, but again, that's not fun without Alex. Let's just face it, nothing was much fun without Alex. "Yeah, I think I may just stay here and watch a few movies. I will try to stay up until you get home but I will probably fall asleep watching movies." He smirked. "Maybe you'll get your wish and that cat of yours and I will bond. That is really not likely but maybe a miracle will happen."

"Yeah, I can make you that. Pasta alla carbonara. I'm in the mood for that anyway." Alex murmured into Reid's cheek, pressing his smile into it. His boyfriend's whiskers felt funny on his skin, they always did, but he liked it. Alex had pathetic facial hair. It grew a bit on his upper lip and along his jawline but it was still a bit thin. He would look stupid should he leave it to grow like Reid did.
"If you're asleep I'll try not to wake you." Lie. Alex would totally wake him up if he returned to find him snoozing on the couch. Unless he was cuddled up with Tootie. That would be just precious. Alex would get a bazillion photos of that and shamelessly show them to all his colleagues at work. "Tootie is a great kitty, she gives the best hugs. You should try it. Like... right now."
Alex grinned at Reid and began to call for his cat. She was probably asleep somewhere in the apartment. Maybe on top of the tumble dryer or something. "I don't know why you don't like cats, nene. I've always had one. Back in Hogwarts that black cat I had was actually Tootie's dad if you remember him... I'm going to grow up into a crazy cat lady... I mean, man. Crazy cat man."
