Breakfast with my own lion [James Alex Chris]

Alex was going to make Blaze sorry for what she did to Chris. And this was just the beginning. She will make James go through a needle's eye. "I don't know how good you can be for her since she's been well off on her own." Alex said as she turned to Blaze.

"I very well know how it is to have breakfast cousin." Alex replied as she took a bite of her own meal. "I highly doubt you have gone out with Blaze without hearing about me at least once or twice. And I already know how important I am to her. No need for you to say it out loud." she added as she glared at Blaze.

She gave Blae the look that said 'this-is-pay-back-for-what-you-did-to-my-lion' and Alex knew well that Blaze understood her loud and clear.

[Chris Sutton]

Chris smiled at Blaze. "You are very welcome Blaze. Whatever the reason for it is, it suits you." He wasn't lying. He liked this new Blaze. If Potter was the reason behind this, he hoped that Potter stuck around for a while.

Speaking of Potter, Chris was trying very hard not to laugh at Alex's words. Oh she was giving it out good. Quite up to far with what he received from Blaze, though Chris thought that Alex wouldn't go as far as her cousin. There were some things Blaze did that would be a little much, even for Alex.

He thought he'd give the poor lad a warning though. He knew what it was like to be in his shoes. The least he could do was give the guy a heads up. "Potter I would watch your back for the next couple weeks. These two do whatever they think is necessary to make sure the other is cared for. Don't do anything stupid or else, you'll pay the price for it."

[Sophia Blaze Livington]

Blaze glared back at Alex. She was doing to James what she did to Chris when Alex was just starting to date him. But maybe Blaze should have known it was coming. it was normal for Alex to just have her own fun with James since Blaze did it with Chris. She sighed.

"Hush Alexis." was all Blaze said to reprimand her cousin. There was nothing Blaze could say to top what Alex just said. Then she turned to Chris as he finished warning James, "I assure you Chris, that nothing of the sort will happen to James." Blaze said with confidence.

She wondered what Chris and Alex had in mind. But she hoped that it wasn't anything like what Blaze had done to Chris. She didn't what James to go through the same thing Chris did.

[James Potter]

James was confused. He really wasn't sure what was going on. Something gave him the impression that things hadn't exactly gone smoothly between the other three at some point. He didn't think asking was the best thing to do at the moment so he instead just went with what was said to him. Maybe he could figure some of it out that way.

"I promise Alex to show you just how good I am for her. As it is, it seems that something good has come from me being here if Sutton's comments are anything to go by." Hopefully not backing down was the way to go with her.

He took Sutton's warning for what it was: a simple warning of what's to come. "Thank you Sutton. I promise you I won't need it though."

He smirked at the confidence his girlfriend showed. So it wasn't just him. She would make sure nothing happened to him, he was sure of it. He squeezed her hand under the table. He would make sure to give her an extra kiss before they parted to show his gratitude to her.

Alex smirked, "We'll see about that, Potter." she said as she took another of her breakfast. She turned and fed Chris a piece of bacon that she couldn't finish by herself. Then she turned back to Blaze, "You seem confident, cousin. You very well know that when I say something, I will not go back on my word." she said with a sugar coated smile.

"So, Potter, whether or not you will be good to Blaze, that will remain to be seen. Besides, you started dating, like what, a few days ago right? But then again, I'm sure you have made one hell of an impression to have gotten her attention, right Chris?" she turned back to Chris for a second opinion.

[Chris Sutton]

Chris wanted to slap Potter across the head. He was being too damn cocky for his own good. Alex would see it as a challenge and he knew better than to get in the way of her when she was on a mission. "I'd watch it man. Being cocky will get you no where but trouble." He hoped the guy would get the hint this time.

Chris wanted to smack his head on the table. "Oh bloody hell. Now she's bringing me into this. Well, I guess that's ok. A bit of payback myself wouldn't be that bad." He thought about his answer a bit before answering. "He must have done something to get positive attention from Blaze. I only have ever seen her his friendly with Alex. Have you ever seen her like this with anyone love?"

Blaze was getting a tick from Alex and Chris but this wasn't the time for her to lose her patience and cool. She smiled at James, "No, James in not being cocky, Chris. He just knows that nothing bad will happen to him." she said with a cocky tone. Yes, Blaze was being cocky.

"Alex, I'm warning you, do anything to him and I will not guarantee that Chris will not stay on my good graces." Blaze said with just the same sugar coated tone Alex had used on her. She took a bite of her pancake and just smiled.

"And I have no reason to act the way I am acting now before because there was no one special then." she said and smiled sweetly at James. Yes, James is very special before.

[James Potter]

James would have glared at Alex if he knew that it wouldn't cause more harm than good. What was her problem? "I would like to think I made a good impression. Though if being a gentleman makes an impression it says a lot about the guys in this school, including Sutton there. I guess being a gentleman is too much for him. Did they not teach that in America?" He chuckled. If they wanted to play this game then so could he.

He glared at Sutton. James could take care of himself as well as Blaze. "It's not cocky. It's called being confident. I know I care about Blaze. No one is going to tell me otherwise." he hadn't expected this type if treatment when he came to breakfast this morning. Blaze always said her cousin was nice and would accept him. It seemed she had been wrong.

Alex laughed, "Are you threatening me cousin? Well, whatever it was, it's not working. Your threats don't work on me, remember? Besides, should I just do what you did to mine once upon a time? If he survives, then you'll be happy, I'll be happy, and we'll all be happy." Alex said as she lost the smile on her face and turned serious as she faced James.

"Don't you dare say that my Chris is not a gentleman, you twat! I will not have anyone speak to him that way. And as for now, you are making a horrible impression on the cousin of your new girlfriend. Better try again or I might not guarantee you a 'happy ever after' with Blaze." she hissed, just like a true slytherin.

Then she turned back to Blaze, "You very well know that my threats aren't as shallow as people say they are, Blaze. And please, don't make me hurt him. Make him back down now before I do anything to him." Alex told Blaze seriously. Yes, Alex was mad and this was the first time she was showing Chris this side of her.

[Chris Sutton]

Chris did not want to get on Blaze's bad side again. He would have to keep Alex from hurting Potter, even if he thought the punk deserved it. "Woah Blaze. There is no need for that threat. You know that Alex is right, we are just giving as good as I got. You gave me hell to test if I was good enough for her. All we want is to do the same. Alex cares about you, sees you like a sister. She just wants what is best for you."

He personally wanted to let Alex do whatever to Potter. He was out of line with that comment. "You better watch it Potter. Keep talking like that and I'll answer with my wand, not my words."

[Sophia Blaze Livington]

Blaze's eyes grew wide. It was the first time she'd seen Alex that made at anyone. "Enough. This was supposed to be good morning and a happy breakfast." she said and sighed. She was backing out before she got on Alex's nerve and it wasn't going to be a good thing to have your own cousin as an enemy. She knew more that Blaze did and that was the very thing Blaze wanted to keep locked away.

"We're all getting on the foot here. Shall we start over because I do not wawnt my cousin hexing my boyfriend and then hurting her own lion for revenge. It would get us all anywhere." she pointed out as she sighed. Damn. If it weren't for James, Blaze would have hexed anyone in a blink of an eye.

"Alex Chris... This is James. James, my cousin Alex and her boyfriend Chris." Blaze said with a white smile. "We shall start over since the first one was all wrong." she tried her best and was going to go for the extra mile just so Alex would like James as she was starting to accept Chris for Alex.

[James Potter]

James wanted to hit something right now. Everyone was getting mad at everyone, mostly him and Blaze. This was not how he wanted to start things. He thought about just taking Blaze over to the Gryffindor table and forgetting it all but he would stay, more Blaze.

He looked at Blaze and saw that she really wanted to start all this over. He sighed and looked at Alex and Sutton across the table. "Hello Alex, Sutton. It's nice to meet you both."

Alex sighed and pushed whatever irritation she had earlier out of her mind and smiled, just like Blaze. "Hi, nice to meet you James. His name is Chris. And I hope you'd take care of Blaze for me. Just like how Chris is taking care of me. If you ever hurt her, I swear that you'll bear the colors of Ravenclaw on your body." she said as she tilted her head.

"So, how did you two meet? We'd like to hear it from your point of view since Blaze wasn't good in explaining when she told me she met someone." Alex added with a teasing tone. Yes, she was willing to forget the first bad impression. She lovingly held Chris' hand in hers for support. Just holding him made her strong.

"Remember when you told me we should have a double date? I think this Hogsmeade trip would be perfect!" Alex said with enthusiasm. She was going to make an effort in liking James because it would make Blaze happy.

[Chris Sutton]

Chris sighed. He really wanted to hex Potter a new one but he would go with the others and start over with him. He would still be wary of him but he would show him how to treat both Blaze and Alex. "Hello Potter. You are a brave one I must say. Not many people would take Blaze as their girlfriend." He smirked. "Keep her happy and we will be just fine. She's been different since she met you, but in a good way. She's mellowed a bit I think. It's a good thing."

He rubbed his thumb over Alex's hand. He smiled. Holding her hand made things alright; she made things alright. He loved her. He leaned over and whispered in her ear. "Have I told you today that I love you?" He gave her a kiss on the cheek before facing their guest. "So how exactly did you two meet?"

Blaze was glad that Alex and Chris were agreeing to her idea of doing everything over again. She slipped her hands into James' and smiled at him. "Thank you, and I love you." she whispered in his ear. Then she turned back to Alex and Chris. "It seems that both of you have talked about us more than I thought. And thank you, Chris." Blaze said softly. She was indeed mellowing down simply because James was around.

"I'm sure James will take very good care of me. Like how you take care of Alex now." she added as she got food for her and James. A few Hufflepuffs were staring right at her and James (James might or might not have noticed them) but she did. And there was a limit to her mellowness. With a non-verbal spell, the plates filled with food had magically jumped from the table to their laps causing the girls to jump up and scream.

"What in Merlin's name...?" she did a perfect shock facial expression as they all watched five 'puffs run out the Great Hall. "I dare say there aren't many girls left who could take such an incident with poise and dignity, am I right Alex?" Blaze turned to Alex, waiting for a second agreement.
