Mack didn't really know what he was doing. Perhaps his mind was telling him that he needed a break from school, from thinking. Even though he was a Ravenclaw and loved to think, to problem solve, even they needed a break. He had been reading by the fire, but even that got tiresome.
So sometime in between reading, and going up to his dormitory to grab his broomstick, he decided to go flying. Mack was slightly hoping no one would be there, at the pitch that is. But he supposed it didn't truly matter if there was. There was plenty of air for everyone to fly around in. Not just himself. He kind of wished he would have found a way to get Dria out here with him. But he needed the peace and quiet for a bit. Time to think for himself. He didn't get a lot of that.
Walking down to the pitch with his broomstick over his shoulder, Mack felt at home. As he always did with his broom.

Gabe was lying down on one of the bleacher stands, looking up at the sky. He just loved the feeling of being in a quidditch pitch. It was the only thing keeping him sane from all the insanity that his life was throwing at him. And because of that he was glad for having quidditch as a sport.
Then he heard distant noises from the ground. He tried not to make any noise as he went to peak down and see who it was that disturbed his alone time. He saw it was a student, male. Ravenclaw. Then he knew it must be the new Captain, a muggle-born. He was glad to have a list of all the quidditch teams and their player's profile.
"Filthy litle mudblood" he thought to himself with a sneer. But wanted to remain quiet and just see what the child would do, though it was obvious that he would mount his broom and fly around. But Gabe just wanted to watch him. Just to make sure nothing will happen to his previous Quidditch Pitch.

Once finally on the field he took a quick glance around. He didn't see anyone there. Smiling softly to himself, he mounted his broom and took off into the sky. Feeling the breeze in his hair, and the water in his eyes from the wind. He could smell the fresh air, and the grass. This was what he lived for. Why he loved flying. Everything just seemed to disappear when he was on his broom. His worries, his thoughts, his regrets. Everything. Gone.
He did a few circles with his eyes practically shut, just getting a feel for the sky like he always did. When he opened them, he became startled. He didn't even notice a person laying on a bench in the stands. His heart racing a little, and a tad embarrassed he didn't notice the guy before. He flew over to him. He noticed that it was the new flying instructor. Professor Turner.
"What are you doing here?" Mack asked, wondering why someone would just be laying out here like that. Not caring that it kind of came off a bit mean. That was just Mack's personality.

Gabe sat up and stared at the boy, "Watch your tone, punk. I'm a teacher and I don't take crap from kids like you. As for me being here, I'm the flying instructor. It's natural for me to be here. Unlike you. Why are you here?" Gabe asked back.
Right off the bat, Gabe didn't like him. Not only because he was a muggleborn but also because he had an attitude. "Filthy mudblood punk." He thought to himself. He really had to try and not hex the kid just because of his tone.
"So, what brings you out here? Don't you have classes inside the castle?" he asked again. This kid was going to get on his nerves if he wasn't going to leave soon. But Gabe couldn't say it out loud.

Did this professor just call him a punk? What the? Mack was beginning to get mad. And he normally freaked out on whoever was by when that happened. The last time he got mad around a professor it ended with him getting a detention at the same time of an important quidditch game.
"Sorry, sir." Mack said it sarcastically. He hated apologizing, but he knew he should at least attempt to keep in control of his temper. "And last time I checked, I was captain of the Ravenclaw team and have every right to be out here as well." Okay, so Mack wasn't so good at the whole 'keeping control of his temper' thing.
"I just needed to be in the air. And no. I don't have a class right now. I have a free period." Mack didn't think he needed to explain himself to this guy. And yet he was. Mack hated it.

Gabe couldn't help but smirk. If he wasn't a muggleborn, Gabe swore that Stone was just like him when he was the kid's age. "Well then, Captain of Ravenclaw quidditch team, want a short mock match? Since you don't have a class and it's better than flying around alone." Gabe challenged him.
Gabe was bored and the kid presented him with a time killing fun. And he was bored out of his mind. He thought that being a flying instructor would be fun but then again all the first years only had flying class during Saturdays. And this was a weekday.
"So, are you up to it, Captain?" he asked again. He was going to grab his broom the moment Stone takes up his challenge.

Mack was dumbfounded. The man went from yelling at him and calling him a punk, to asking if he wanted to play a pick up game with him. Well wasn't that... odd. Mack thought about it for a second. There was no reason he couldn't. The man was right. It was far more fun to play with someone else than to just fly on your own. And Mack could totally beat him.
"You're on, Professor." Mack smirked a bit. "But I must warn you. I am one of the best Chasers in the school. If not the best." His smirk grew bigger. There was Mack's big head again. It always seemed to come out when there was any kind of quidditch involved. Mack didn't really care. He had skill, why not brag about how much he had? It was only natural.

Gabe chuckled, "Cocky little punk, he is. Certainly like me." He thought. Gabe grabbed his broom and mounted within a split second. He took out his wand and pointed it at the quidditch equipment box. The box opened and only the snitch came out. "I have no idea how good you say you are, however, I was the seeker of Slytherin House during my time here. And I am telling you. Back then, even Gryffindor didn't stand a chance."
He told the boy as he flew up and stretched his arms and legs. It had been quite long since he had a mock game with anyone who enjoyed the same sport he did. "I'll teach you a thing or two about Quidditch, young 'claw. A lesson you shan't forget you whole life." Gabe thought again as he smirked down at the boy.

Mack heard the professor chuckle, and he sort of didn't believe it at first. But he did in fact chuckle. When Mack saw him mount his broom and set the snitch free; he quickly mounted his own and joined him in the sky.
"Whatever you say, Professor. But I'm not a seeker. I'm a chaser. That takes much more skill." Mack didn't really believe that. But it was his cocky mind and competitive disposition that had said it. How good could this old man truly be.
"So what kind of game are you thinking here? It's hard to do a full game with only two people." Mack was good with mostly anything. But if he wanted to do a game where the first person to catch the snitch wins, then Mack was screwed. He'd never caught a snitch in his life. Never had a need to before.

Gabe frowned a little. The kid wasn't a seeker huh, that sucked. He thought that he could at least have a mock snitch battle with the boy until he was going to enter the castle again to look for someone. But he was now facing a question which he was still hasn't answered.
"If your a chaser then it doesn't seem like we can actually play anything then. And I thought that captains of each team are seekers. My my my..." he said. In Slytherin during his time, the seeker was the captain. Except for a few exceptions.
"Don't you know how to be a seeker? Even just for a mock snitch match?" Gabe asked Mack. He was going to kill tiime and might as well have fun doing so.

Mack thought about it. He had never really tried being a seeker before. But he imagined it couldn't be terribly hard. And it would sure help kill time. Mack would otherwise just turn around and fly by himself until he had to go.
"Sure. I'll try to be seeker. It can't be too hard. All you do is catch the snitch... right? Yeah. not hard at all." Mack smirked. He would so show this professor who's boss. He was the talented one. This old dude had nothing on him. Mack doubted he could even fly right anymore. Than again... he was the flying instructor. But still. You barely make it off the ground in that class. It's normally just the basics. Nothing major. Nothing you would need a lot of talent for at least. Not in Mack's eyes.
Mack had this. He could so beat this old fart.

Gabe smirked as he rode his broom. "Yeah, that's basically what seekers do: Catch the snitch and win the game." He said as he zoomed into the sky and just flipped and flew to stretched a little. He then stopped a few feet away from Stone and stood up in his broom. "Come on, show what you got, Ravenclaw Captain." Gabe egged Mack on.
He knew that the boy wouldn't be able to do what he just did. But if the boy did, Gabe would be impressed. But then again, it wouldn't change the fact that the boy was a muggleborn. "Sad. The boy might be great if he just pure blood." Gabe thought to himself.
"What are you waiting for? Christmas?" Gabe was smirking.

Did the old man think he was cool doing that? That's preschool stuff... Mack thought to himself as he flew up in the air and copied what he did with ease. Stopping right next to him. "Is that all you got? You'll have to kick it up a notch." Mack smirked at him slyly, showing his slytherin side. He may be a 'Claw, but the hat couldn't decide between Slytherin and Ravenclaw. Only choosing Ravenclaw because he was a muggleborn.
"So how is this going to work? You gonna let the snitch go? We count to a number and then have at it? Or what?" Mack asked, completely unsure of what was going to happen here. Like he said. He was a chaser. Give him a quaffle and he could get it by anyone standing by the goals. Let a snitch loose and tell him to catch it... that might be a bit harder. But he wasn't going to tell him that.

Gabe smirk. "If he wasn't muggleborn, I bet that he would undoubtedly be sorted into Slytherin House. Too bad." Gabe turned to the kid and nodded. "Basically yes. I'll release the snitch, we'll count one to ten, then we find it. First to find it wins." he said.
But Gabe thought of a brilliant way to make the game even more exciting. "Let's make this game a little more fun.... If I win, you will have to do something for me..." he told Mack. He just couldn't resist the change to have a student in debted to him. He might come in handy.
"How about it? Do you think your up for it? You can always quiet if you think you can't." Gabe smirked with a hint of sneer. He knew the kid wouldn't quiet, just like how Gabe wouldn't back out no matter how hard the challenge was. His pride as a man was on the line.

Mack nodded in response to him confirming what he thought they were going to do. Mack didn't think it would be too hard... then again. He had never tried catching a snitch before. This could be a tad interesting, actually. In a non humorous way of course. Mack didn't think he could live with losing, but he would try to put on his best face if he did lose.
"Hmm. I'm game. I'll do something for you, and if I win you do something for me. Make it even of course." Mack smirked at him. Listening to the professor try to get him to back out was kind of funny. Mack was at least going to try to win. "You're not getting me to back away. I'll be right next to you the entire way. Grasping that little golden thing before you know it."
