"This punk ain't so bad after all... But his still a mudblood. That won't change. Too bad for him. I'll crush him down to his soul." he thought as he tried his best not to smirk.
"Very well, that seems fair. And I'm glad that you took up my challenge, kid. It would have made you look bad if you turned and backed away." Gabe told him with a laugh.
"Shall we begin then." he took out his wand and pointed it at the chest that held the snitch. "Oh by the way, I forgot to mention this. The bludgers will be out as well. Call it a little distraction and a little spice to the game." he told Mack as the snitch came out, followed by the bludgers.
With another flick of his wand, a bat appeared on Mack's hand and his. "You'll need that, young Ravenclaw Captain." he said as he tucked away his wand. "Shall we count then... 1... 2... 3... 4... 5..."

Mack was nodding, more to himself than anything. He didn't entirely know what he was nodding to, though. He just heard him say something about what they were doing. He faintly heard the word bludger. Was he letting bludgers go...? When he let the balls go, sure enough the bludgers flew out with the snitch. Then he had a bat in his hand and he didn't know what was going on. But he wasn't going to let him know that.
He started counting with him. "6...7...8...9...10." As soon as they both said ten Mackenzie took off flying as fast as he possibly could. He looked around a bit frantically. He couldn't see the snitch at all. How was he supposed to see something that was that tiny... It was like.. impossible. He hit a bludger out of the way with the bat. This was totally not his area of expertise... he was used to being a chaser! But he was going to try...
"You're going down, Old Man!" Mack yelled to his professor. Wherever he was. He had to keep up the trash talking no matter what he thought on the outside.

Gabe zoomed off on the opposite direction Mack had taken. This was really going to be fun for him. He was going to trash this kid until he gave up. Then he heard Mack call him 'Old Man'. He wasn't that old. The punk sure knew which buttons to push to piss him off.
"Not on your lifetime, punk!" Gabe yelled back as he position himself. A bludger was heading his way and he smirked. he got his bat and aimed it at Mack. "Sorry kid... You're not winning against me today." he thought to himself as he shot the bludger towards Mack and zoomed away again.
After a few more minutes, he saw a glint of gold just a few feet above Mack's head. The kid frantically looked left and right. He sure was making this all to easy for him. He zoomed towards Mack and the snitch.

Mack couldn't have been up in the air for long when he heard the little flapping of wings. He didn't recognize the sound at first and thought it was some bird. But after a second he realized that it was the snitch and it was right above his head. Well this was easy.
As soon as he reached his hand up to grab hold of the snitch he felt a massive impact on his stomach and chest area. So strong that he dragged him completely off his broom, and sent him falling to the ground. He couldn't believe he had been hit off his broom for the second time in less than a month.
Mack didn't even let a scream out. So he'd fall, and he'd get hurt, and then Maryn would heal him. Happened every time someone got hurt playing quidditch. Mack was just afraid of the pain. As it was he thought he broke a rib or two. Not to mention this meant he lost their little game...

Gabe caught the snitch then jerked his broom to the opposite side to catch Mack. He didn't have to explain to the Matron of the Hospital wing how the kid got injured during a solo practice. Gabe zoomed and caught Mack just as he was about a feet or two away from the ground.
"Hold on." he instructed Mack as he cuaght the boy in his arms. The kid weighed a bit heavier than he expected. He quickly landed at the neearest bleacher and slowly set Mack down.
Gabe got his wand out and pointed it at Mack's clothes. Instantly, his clothes parted and showed Gabe a growing violet bruise. He sighed. The bludger must have broken a rib or two. He could fix it himself.
"Stay perfectly still. We don't want your bones attached to the wrong end." Gabe joked as he concentrated on the spell. He was used to healing broken ribs and flesh wounds. He did it to himself all the time.
After a few more minutes, Gabe stood up and looked down at him. "How does your chest feel now?" he healed the broken bones, but the bruising was hard to fix.

It hurt like a bitch when the Professor caught Mack. His ribs felt like they were poking out of his skin, even though he knew they weren't. They hurt like a fucking bitch, whether they were poking out or not, that was for sure.
When he was set down on the bleachers, Mack hissed in pain. His eyes got a little bigger when he saw Gabe point his wand at him, but closed a bit when he realized he just ripped his clothes open so he could see his chest. His nice ab toned chest he might add.
Mack's eyes got as big as they could possibly go, though, when Gabe told him to stay perfectly still so his bones would get attached right. 'Cuz that was what every guy wanted to hear from the man about to heal him. Just great. Mack closed his eyes tight, hoping he knew what he was doing. He opened them back up when he asked how his chest felt now.
"Better. Much better. Still hurts a bit though, but i'll be fine." Mack said, he'd had worse, he supposed. "My ego on the other hand... there's no hope for that."

Gabe was beginning to like the kid but then remembered that he was still a muggleborn. "Come on, I'll take you to the Hospital Wing so the Head Nurse can have a look at you. Though I've fixed your ribs already, better to be sure." Gabe said as he stood up.
He smirked, "The ego will recover soon enough..." he told Mack as he summoned his broom closer. "Let's call this game a tie. We'll have a rematch when your better." he added as he slowly lifted Mack on his feet.
"Can you walk? Or do you want me to carry you?" he asked, making sure the kid doesn't hurt anywhere else.

Hospital wing? Fuck. Mack didn't want to go to the hospital wing. He hated admitting when he got hurt so he definitely didn't want to go to the hospital wing. The professor said he fixed his ribs, he felt better. He wasn't going to the hospital wing. End of story.
"No. I'm fine, honestly. I've had worse. I don't need to go to the hospital wing. You fixed my ribs... I'll be fine." Mack said, sitting up slowly to prove he was fine. There was slight pain, but nothing that was horrible and something he couldn't deal with. That was for sure. He would be fine.
"I'll go if I still hurt later, alright?" Mack asked him, hoping he would go for that. It was bad enough that Mack had lost, he wasn't going to be taken to the hospital wing because of it. "And a rematch some other time sounds good. I'll have to practice before then." Mack smirked at him. He hadn't even had a chance to try catching a snitch before today. He'd have to give his seeker a thanks for what he did. It was hard.

Gabe stood up and nodded at Mack. "Very well... A rematch it is. just tell me when and what time..." he said and smirked. This kid was certainly like him in a few ways. Gabe was starting to become soft. And he knew he better get away as fast as he could.
"If you think your alright, then I won't send you to the Hospital wing. I wasn't much of a fan of that place even when I was here as a student." he added as he accio-ed his broom. He turned to look back at Mack.
"Do you want a lift back to the castle or can you make it on your own? And don't you even dare think of lying to me." he told Mack and eyed him carefully. If anything happened to the kid, he was going to be in trouble.

Mack was glad that Gabe agreed to a rematch sometime. He would definitely practice his seeker skills and smoke him next time around. Definitely wouldn't get hurt. That was for sure. Mack was embarrassed that he got hit with a bludger. And that it broke bones. That was not the skill he could show.
"Deal. And thanks. I really didn't want to go there." Mack smiled as he stood up and grabbed his wand from his pocket. Summoning his broom to him with ease. He was in pain, but nothing major. He would be fine.
"I'm fine. Honestly. I think I'll be able to fly back to the castle perfectly fine. I might even just fly to the ravenclaw common room and make Phoenix let me in the window. Something like that. I'll be fine." Mack smiled again to make sure he knew he was being for real. He was honestly fine.

Gabe gave the boy one more look then got on his own broom. "Alright then. If you say so." With that Gabe flew off and headed back to his quarters to freshen up before the evening meal. He didn't want to look dirty and sweaty in front of the other staff and a certain someone.
he smirked to himself as he recalled the invite he got from the infirmary matron. He hoped that Minna wasn't going to avoid him the whole time.
