Chase was actually kind of excited for this. Sure, he had to go tend to a sick animal in the middle of the forbidden forest, but it could be worse. He could be going in the forest alone without anyone. Instead, he was going with his boyfriend and his two best friends. What could anyone else ask for? This was going to be amazing.
"Come on guys. The Unicorn isn't too much farther." Chase said with a smile as he reached over to intertwine his fingers with Brent's, who was walking next to him. He hated seeing animals in pain. So when he found it earlier today, he knew he had to come back to help it. He couldn't just let it stay there and die. Sure, it probably wasn't a good idea to bring 4 guys around a unicorn, but Chase didn't care much. He'd never gotten hurt by a unicorn before... maybe they could sense gay guys. Or... bisexual ones.
He couldn't believe that he had actually gotten Brent to agree to come. Then Brent got Alex to come. Chase had packed a backpack full of stuff. Food to cook around the fire they make, things to help the unicorn, and a muggle tent to set up that they can sleep in. The biggest problem that could happen is if it started to rain, but it didn't look like it was.
The sky wasn't exactly dark yet. It was twilight. It was to that point where it was getting dark, but hadn't turned dark yet. It was beautiful outside. A perfect night for a camping trip with the three most important people to you on this planet.

in the Forbidden Forest... and if that wasn't a horrific idea, Brent didn't know what was. So, of course he'd forced Alex into coming along with them who was just as big a wimp than he was - if not then worse. Brent wasn't complaining, he had two people to hide behind of something scary or dangerous appeared. He held on tightly to Chase's hand, staying close to his boyfriend's side and looking around warily. "Yay." he squeaked quietly. Brent supposed it could've been worse though, Chase might've had to go and sort out an injured thestral... if that had been the case then Brent wouldn't have even let himself be persuaded into going on this stupid trip.[/ul]

Brent owed Alex. And Brent owed him big. After provoking a Thestral attack on Chase, as much of an accident as it was, Alex was more convinced than he already was that the forest just wasn't for him. If it wasn't for the fact that it was a unicorn (and that he was high as a kite) he probably wouldn't of gone. Besides from in textbooks and in pictures, Alex had only spied a unicorn once. Out of all the mystical creatures that roamed the earth, it was one of his preferred ones.
Since agreeing to Brent that he'd go and literally begging his fiancé, Reid, to come along too, Alex had spent the whole day a bag of nerves. He swore that he had came close to being physically sick on more than one occasion. In an attempt to soothe his raging nerves, he had headed down the local pub to just get out of his shoebox of an apartment for a couple of hours. The barman, a good friend, had caught onto his regular's distress and sought to help him out. The pair ended up sitting on the step to the back door, smoking pot, and having a competition of sorts to see who could come up with the lamest joke. Thank Merlin no one overheard. It got pretty pathetic at times. And they decided to draw a line at: What do you call a boomerang that doesn't work? ....a stick.
"Hey.... hey! ...when is a pixie not a pixie?" Alex snickered, clinging onto Chase's shirt. The Spaniard hadn't finished yet. He still had a few jokes in him. Anything to take his mind off that he was in the forest, right? "...when she has her head in an elf's pants... then she's a'goblin."
Alex carried on chuckling lightly, adjusting his backpack but not letting go of Chase. Cookie Monster backpack. He'd actually just bought it today. He had been munching away on some shortbread biscuits all afternoon and he saw, he wanted, he bought. "Nyeh... my feet hurt. Carry me someone?"

Chase had a feeling this was going to be a long night. Both Alex and Brent didn't like the forest and Reid hadn't come with him to help them relax a bit. Although it seemed like from the walk that Alex was already relaxed. He had been telling lame jokes. "Alex. Those jokes aren't funny." Chase said with a sigh as he gripped Brent's hand tighter in his own. "Nothing will hurt you, Boo. Not with me here. Most creatures respect me enough to not mess with me. They know I won't hurt them." Chase told his boyfriend, and probably his best friend too since he was clinging onto Chase's shirt.
"You're such a fucking baby." Chase rolled his head and stopped walking long enough to bend down and pick up Alex by his legs and throw him over his shoulder with one hand. Chase didn't let go of Brent's hand though. "You better not want to be carried too... I don't think I could carry you both. Okay, I could. But not the point." Chase said with a slight laugh.
Chase dragged Brent and carried Alex a bit longer before he spotted the unicorn laying on the ground. He had a little blood on the ground where he had been bleeding earlier. Chase had healed that, but the Unicorn was still in pain and close to dying. "Here we are guys." Chase said, trying not to fully look at the unicorn yet. Hurt animals made him sad. He set Alex down on the ground and took his backpack off his back. "We should set up our tent before it gets dark."
