We Have To Talk [Blaze]

Blake was hoping that blaze got his message and that she wouldn't ignore it. Especially the last one. He paced back and forth in the trophy room. He knew that it was the only place that no one else was going to barge in on them while their talking. And Blake didn't know how he was going to start to tell her that he was having seconds thought about his... Uhm, preference.

He sighed. How the hell it it come to this point? he knew that after his drink with Andrew everything had gone on a different way from there. he sighed and wondered how he let it go the other way. he just hoped that Blaze wasn't going to make everything hard for Blake now.

Blaze wondered why Parker wanted her to meet him at the Trophy Room. Everyone knew that Peeves would probably be floating about the room, waiting for people to come and he'd have his fun. Peeves was a pest in Blaze's point of view.

She entered the room and saw Parker looking a bit pale and worried. She smirked, was he going to back out now? She hope he would. She wouldn't even make a bit deal out of it. But she might play a little bit. but she was going to be nice to him from now on, if he backs out.

"So, what do you want that you have to tell me here, Parker? This better be good or I might send you to the infirmary if I don't find your reason worth the effort coming here." she said as she stopped a few feet away from him and crossed her arms. She wasn't really pleased as of the moment.

Blake turned to see Blaze standing behind him. He was so nervous that he didn't notice or hear her come in. "Blaze, I- uh..." he blurted out. He took a few steps back and tried to find the courage to talk to her and tell her the truth. Or at least tell her that he was backing out not because he was scared. But because he was confused about something.

"Blaze, I just... I want to... I'm backing out of the challenge really. Not because I'm scared... No, it's something else." he began and was trying to look for the right words to tell her. He was as nervous like when he first came to Hogwarts seven years ago. What irony. He sighed since he couldn't come up with anything.

"I'm really sorry for the things I've said and done. I hope that we can be friends instead. I promise to be nicer and more of a gentleman." he said with sincerity, hoping that she'd accept.

Blaze was in shock. That wasn't what she expected from Blake when he told her he wanted to tell her something. But then again, it was a good thing since she wouldn't have to hex Blake for being annoying and such. But having another friend was better. She smiled and extended her hand to him.

"hi, Sophia Blaze Livington, Seventh Year, Slytherin House. Pleasure to meet you." she said with a smile. Yes, having another friend was better than an annoying and unwanted suitor.

"By the way, I hope you don't mind me asking, but why the sudden withdrawal. Not that I'm complaining, not at all. Just curious." she told him as she looked at him.

Blake was glad that Blaze was being a sport and letting him slide and not making a big deal out of it. He'd probably would have begged if she threatened to breathe a word about everything to other people. But he knew she wouldn't do it. Then he shook her hand. "Ashton Blake Parker, Seventh Year, Ravenclaw. Pleasure." he said and smiled.

He wondered if he could tell her, but decided to do so. "Just promise me you won't tell anyone, alright?" he asked first. He was very nervous. "You see, I met someone and for some reason this person made me feel things that I've never felt before. I don't know really. It was strange." he began to tell her. If they were going to be real friends, he could start by telling her something that was bugging him.

"And that's why I wanted to back out. Because I no longer think I like you. Though I like you to be a friend of mine. It's different when it's with that person." he added. "He just made me feel something I never thought I'd feel... Ever." he said and closed his mouth. Damn. He told Blaze a little too much.

Blaze listened carefully and was shocked. Blake just said 'he' meaning he met a guy. And whoever this guy is made one hell of an impression of him for Blake to have questions his preference. Them she smiled. "Friends we shall be then." she said and smiled at Blake.

"May I ask who this gentleman you speak of? He seems like a very interesting bloke to have made you question your preference, Par-Blake. I know you've been a playboy since first year and now comes Mystery Man and sweeps you off your feet. How romantic." She teased him a little.

This were going to be better now. Blake will no longer try and annoy her. And this was a good thing because she had James now. And Blaze wouldn't want anyone else.

Blake tried his best not to blush. How was he going to avoid telling Blaze that the guy she met was from her own house. She might actually know him. Rowena Ravenclaw! She might actually be friends with Andrew. He sighed. "W-well... Y-you see..." He scratched his head. This was harding that he thought.

"You have to promise that you won't tell him anything." he told her sternly and seriously. The last thing Blake wanted was Blaze running out the trophy and heading to the snake pit to look for Andrew and tell the male that Blake was attracted to him. Ugh! Why did it have to be him?

"His name.. Is Andrew Sebastian Maxwell... Seventh Year... Slytherin House... Your house..." Blake said as he turned to the ground. He could feel his cheeks turning red from embarrassment.

Blaze's eyes shot up open. "No way!!! You're in love with Sebastian?!" Blaze wanted to fall on the floor and laugh. But then again she couldn't blame Blake. She almost did fall for Sebastian before until he told her that he was gay and that they were very good friends. She smiled at Blake.

"Well, if your setting your eyes on Sebastian, then you better do something now. I heard that he was seen at the Lake with some Gryffindor. They were watching the sunset. And I'm telling you, Sebastian loves watching the sunset." she told Blake.

"And another thing, how do you plan to hide this new found preference from the rest of the school. As I've heard, you've hit on almost every girl here. I'm sure a couple of them are expecting something from you." Blaze just had to ask. She wasn't being nosy, just concerned.

Blake was surprised that Blaze didn't laugh at him. but he was happy that she didn't. But then he frowned when he said that Andrew was seeing someone else as well. He recalled that Andrew said that he was the only guy he told straight out that he was gay. Andrew didn't seem to have lied but someone must have noticed. Yes, that was it. Someone noticed him.

Blake nodded, "Alright then. I better do something now before whoever that lion you speak of get too close to Andrew. Sunsets? I can plan a picnic by the Lake if he likes them so much. Thanks, Blaze." Blake said and smiled at her. Then she made him think again.

But he shook away negative thoughts, "I don't care what others say. I will date whom ever I want, whenever I want. No one will dictate me who I wish to be with or who I wish to care for." he told her confidently. Blake wasn't going to allow anyone to tell him who he should and shouldn't like.

Blaze nodded in approval. She wondered if Blake was sorted into the wrong house. He seemed like a Slytherin the way he said that he wouldn't care what people think of him. Blake sounded like her in a little way. She smiled at him.

"Well, I'm glad to hear that then. I'm telling you, you better do it fast before someone else beats you to Sebastian. That guy can attract and change blokes in a heart beat." she joked a little. "But hey, don't worry about it. I'm sure you'll be able to charm Sebastian like how you charm the female student body, right?" she asked him.

Blaze knew that charming a guy was far different than charming girls. It took more effort and time and a whole sack of sincerity to charm a man. And it will take a double amount to charm Andrew Sebastian Maxwell. Which brings Blaze to her think what the lion that Alex mention did to have gotten Seb's attention at all.
