Al was sitting alone on the fifth floor corridor. He was waiting for his Transfiguration Class to begin which was in an hour. He hadn't attended his Charms class because he woke up late and had to go down to the kitchens to have breakfast. If he wasn't Albus Potter, the elves might not attend to him with eagerness. Being a Potter had its perks which Al use rarely.
He took out an apple from his robes and took a bite while reading a book on Quidditch. His dad had promised that they'd play at home this summer and Al wanted to get a few tips in order to surprise his dad a little. He hadn't been like James that was totally into Quidditch but Al joined the Gryffindor Team as a beater so that he'd had an outlet for his frustration, anger and insecurities.
He sighed as he recalled passing the try out and playing with James. his brother was the seeker, just like their dad. Al was happy for James. He'd never be like James but Al knew his dad was proud of them just the way they were.

Andrey had been wandering around the fifth floor, reading a book. He had skipped his first class, something that was rare for the 5th year. Usually he was a very good student, never missing classes and always handing in his work but he was still just a kid. It was only normal for him to break the rules from time to time. However, he knew he had to be careful as he did not want to be kicked off the Quidditch team. He was one of the best Beaters the Hufflepuffs had and it would be bad if the Badgers lost him.
"Hey Al." Andrey greeted his rival Beater from the Gryffindor house with a nod. He didn't know the other 5th year too well except for his Quidditch skills and his dad, Harry Potter. "You Lions ready for the Quidditch game? I hope you guys have been practicing well because I know we Hufflepuffs have!"

Al looked up from his book, it was Andrey Johnson of Hufflepuff. He didn't know the other boy but he knew that he was also a beater for the 'puffs. Al nodded, "We're always ready, Johnson. You didn't have to ask." Al answered. He knew that Andrey was in the same year as he was and that aside from Quidditch, he had not come into contact with him.
"We have been practicing but since the older players of Gryffindor Team have their NEWTs, practices are done on their free time..."Al added as he took another bite of his apple. "Don't you have any classes right now?" he asked Andrey out of curiosity. Al wouldn't normally ask but the morning had been anything but normal for him.

Andrey smiled a bit when Al said that they were always ready. It was always good to have a good opposing team, it was funner that way. The Gryffindors usually had pretty good spirit so it was fun going up against them.
"Huh? Oh yes... I do." Andrey snapped out of his train of thoughts and replied calmly, a mischievous glint in his light blue eyes. "How about you? Transfiguration doesn't begin till much later, right?"
"Well, I'm looking forward to going up against you guys." Andrey commented, looking up from his book. "The Gryffindors are always a good team to go up against. It's fun. I do believe the last game we had was a pretty close game. We almost won if it wasn't for your brother and Makar. They are pretty good Quidditch players.."

Al nodded again. "I skipped Charms because I woke up late so now I have to wait for Transfiguarations... Which would be in an hour." he said and sighed. Andrey was right about the last game. If it weren't for Makar and James, Hufflepuff might have beaten Gryffindor but then again, being Potter's James wouldn't have allowed Gryffindor to lose a spot for the Quidditch Finals.
"Yeah, well, they both are very competitive. Gryffindors have a reputation to keep when it comes to Quidditch." he added and leaned on the wall. He closed his book before Andrey could see what he was reading and placed the book in his bag.
"Well, what class do you have? I haven't seen you during Transfiguarations in the morning. That's my schedule, along with the Ravenclaw fifth years." Al said as he finished his apple and banished whatever was left of the apple into oblivion. He had found a book in his dad's library and read up.
So far, Al was able to do very few non-verbal and wandless spells, like banish things to Merlin's knows where. But Al tried his best to learn so that his dad would be proud of him. That was all Al ever wanted.
