"Nothing wrong with just studying and quidditch.... It's perfectly normal..." he told her. Then he finished his apple. "Me? Studying... Quidditch... Reading... Talking to friends... That's it... There's nothing else worth doing here. It's not like we could just go to Hogsmeade anytime we want..." he joked and smiled at her.
Andrew was having fun. Luarinda was easy to be around with. And he liked it. Blaze and Alexis were different. But this was fun. "Would you want to go to the next Hogsmeade trip with me? It'll be a change for me since I'm always with either Blaze and Alexis or with Tommy." he told her. Tyler didn't count yet and there was no way Andrew was going with Blake.
The guy was still in his confused phase. But truth be told, Blake wasn't bad looking. However, Andrew liked Tyler more.

something wrong with only doing the same two things day in and day out. Yes, she was sure she could cope with it a little longer. But she was lonely and getting tired of have the dullest life she could imagine. Things used to be more fun when her dad was around. Of course she'd never get him back now, he was dead... her mother tried but, honestly, it wasn't enough. Lauri's mother didn't understand her as well as her father had done. "Yeah.." she said quietly to Andrew. He had friends. Lauri had enemies, it was no wonder she was so sick and tired of everything. She'd never really made the effort to be social. It was different with Andrew... there was just something about him that made Lauri put in that extra effort. Lauri's blue eyes widened in surprise. Hogsmeade? She'd only ever been by herself before and she'd gotten so bored she never again. It also actually gave her something else to do. "I-I'd love to, thanks." she smiled.[/ul]

Andrew smiled at her, "It's a date then." he told her as he looked over the dessert that was in front of him. "Is there anything else you want?" he asked her but then he took a slice of moist chocolate cake, "You should try this. You'll like it. I promise." He said as he placed the slice on her plate.
"You know, even if it isn't obvious, I try not to make anyone see the ton of foes I had behind me. I don't even understand why they bother me to be begin with." he told Laurinda and sighed. "I wish they'd just stop pestering me since I already told them that I won't take their girlfriends away. As if I'd want to."
"Most of them have very bad taste in women. I was lucky enough to befriend three different witches here. And your definitely one of the three. The other two are simply good friends of mine." he said with a smile. He was kind to her because she was being kind to him now. And he knew she needed a good friend. He could be a good friend to her.

? Lauri thought to herself. What? She hadn't thought Andrew had been offering that before. She kept quiet, not wanting to seem stupid for not realising before though. Lauri had never been on a date in her life. If anyone had offered, she'd turned them down and of course she'd had too much pride to ask anyone out herself. "Oh, thank you." she said as Andrew, being the gentleman he was, gave her a slice of cake. Lauri sampled it. And it was nice, Andrew was right. "These house elves are amazing cooks. This is... perfect." she laughed softly. "Yes... you should just ignore them really, they're not worth it." she muttered. Lauri knew she really needed to take her own advise on that one. "Well, I'm flattered, really." she laughed quietly again.[/ul]

Andrew smiled at Laurinda. "I probably couldn't make a cake that taste this good. No matter how good I can bake." he told her with a smile as he took a bite of the cake. "Yes, I bake. But between me and the elves, I feel like I'm a newbie and their master chefs." he added with a chuckled.
"You're absolutely right. I should just ignore them. Not worth my time. It would better to spend it with better people. Like you and my other selected friends." he told her. "You should meet them. I'm sure you'd like them. They're not like the others here which is why their my friends. Like you, Laurinda. You're nothing like the other people I have met." he complimented her.
"You're... hmm... how you say... Worth the time and effort to be with. You make me laugh and you even make me feel relaxed." he said with clear honesty.

Andrew smiled at her. "You know, people are nice to other people because they know that befriending them would make them a better person and that the one who they befriend is worth something. And for me Laurinda, you are worth befriending. Your smart, funny, gorgeous. I would be stupid to not see those." he told her.
It was true, everything Andrew said about her. And because of that, he wanted to befriend her. "And another thing, taking risks are far better than keeping safe. At least when you took the risk, you won't regret missing out on something. You get to say 'At least I tried' and its a wonderful feeling when you succeed in the end." he added.
"Like me, I took a risk of annoying you to get to know you. And I succeed in doing so. Here you are, talking to me and having snacks with me... Can I say that we're friends now? Or is it still a bit too soon?" He asked her politely.

attention at all. But... she did like it, even if it made her blush like a complete fool. Andrew just had that effect on her. "Yes, you can. I-I'd say the two of us are definitely friends now." she smiled a little at him. Wow, Lauri had somehow acquired another friend. Her mother would be proud, not that Lauri was necessarily going to tell her.[/ul]

Andrew was glad that Laurinda considered him a friend now. He had enjoyed her company the whole time. She wasn't boring like the others. Not that Blaze and Alexis and Tyler and Tommy were boring. They weren't. Maybe Blake wasn't boring as well. But the rest of the students were.
The castle clock chimed. "Well, that signals the end of our break. I have Ancient Rhunes next. How about you, Laurinda? DO you have class now? Shall I escort you there?" he asked her politely and with a smile.
At the back of his mind, he thought that he had to tell her that he was gay and seeing Tyler. But he thought that is wasn't necessary. It wasn't like Laurinda would actually like him beyond friendship. In short, Andrew was confident.

Andrew smiled at her and nodded. "Very well then... I shall see you around, Luarinda." he said as he watched her leave. Then he gathered his things and got himself ready for his next class, an hour with Slytherin's Head of House, his Head of House to be exact.
He sighed and stood up, leaving a few women gawking as he passed them by, not looking there way at all. He didn't care about them. All he thought of was that he hadn't seen Tyler for the whole morning.
