"Now we can be bored together." Phoenix whispered into her ear, holding her tight. He was kinda getting bored with Lizzy and Mack. They were both in their own little world. When Rayne asked if the other Ravenclaw was his friend's girlfriend, well... Phoenix burst into a fit of giggles. So he wasn't the only one that thought that this looked a bit... off.
"Looks like it, doesn't it? But no. They're not going out." Phoenix looked up at the pair that looked rather comfortable sharing the broomstick with a small shake of his head. "Mack's meant to be going out with a snake called Dria, not a claw called Elizabeth. Lizzy for short. But... they're not going out. Just... friends." The young boy began to laugh. Just friends? It didn't look like it. They totally had the hots for each other. It was as clear as day. Oh well. Phoenix had his Rayski here so now maybe it was time to make those two feel like the awkward ones. For once.
"You want to have a go?" He asked, offering his broom. "Or do you fancy just staying down on the ground with me?" Phoenix said between playful kisses on Rayne's cheeks, nose, lips and chin. "Those two are fogging up the air with lovey-ness, anyway."

Elizabeth gave Mack a little nudge in the back. "I'm definitely not worried. I am just admiring their cuteness as a couple. They look so happy together." She started to think back on her parent's marriage. Not once had Elizabeth ever see any kind of affection between the two. Her mother definitely showed affection to Jane, and whatever man-candy was in town. Her father, on the other hand, wasn't an affectionate man in general. Sure, she got praised for her grades, but she didn't ever remember getting a hug from her father. Then, after the accident, it just seemed as if her parents retreated further away from each other. Her mum threw herself into insignificant, petty things like shopping and manicures, while her father threw himself more into his publishing than he ever had before.
Shaking her head to get rid of the sad thoughts, Elizabeth pointed to the young couple on the ground sharing kisses. "I mean, just look at them. They look so coupley and in love. It's fantastic." In an effort to push her thoughts away, she didn't notice that she leaned a little too far in her pointing. Her balance was quickly lost, and Elizabeth felt herself plummeting towards the grass at the bottom of the Quidditch pitch.

Mack was looking down at his best friend and his girlfriend. He got what Elizabeth was saying. They looked perfect for each other. You could see the adoration in both of their eyes. It was cute in a sickening kind of way, yet it only made Mack want that. And his mind was telling him he wanted it with Elizabeth. "I don't think I've ever seen Phoenix that happy before, honestly." Mack told her with a small smile on his face.
Then everything kind of happened. One minute they were talking and soaring through the air, the next Mack felt the broom go off balance and then there wasn't a body pressed against his back anymore. "Liz?" Mack asked and looked behind him, then down to see the girl falling. Well, Shit.
Mack curved around and down and flew as fast as he could before taking both hands off the broom as he was about to run into Elizabeth. He caught her in his arms and then slowly landed the broom, placing her on the ground. "Are you okay?"

Rayne didn't understand. That girl up there, Elizabeth, wasn't Mack's girlfriend? But that was Mack? They looked... really close. It didn't make sense. "They are not just friends. Just friends don't do that..." Rayne told Phoenix with a sad smile. "Don't do that to me... okay?" Rayne told him sincerely, but Rayne knew he never would. He was too much of a sweetheart to be able to do that. It was one of the things Rayne liked about him.
As much as Rayne considered taking the broom from Phoenix and showing him a few tricks she knew, she would rather stay on the ground with him. "So we can stay down here and fog up the ground with our lovey-ness?" Rayne asked him with a giggle. "I'd love to." Rayne would. Especially when he was kissing almost every part of her face. He was just too adorable.
Rayne was about to close her eyes and go in for a longer kiss when she let out a little gasp. She saw Elizabeth fall from the broom and down toward the ground. "Nyxie!" she squeaked out before covering her face in his chest, not wanting to see if she got hurt. "I-is she okay?" Rayne mumbled into his chest, hoping to Merlin she was.

Staying down on the ground with Nyxie sounded like an awesome idea. He wanted to snuggle his girlfriend lots as he hadn't seen her all day and on a broomstick that was a hard feat to accomplish. So being down here, feet planted on the ground, would be perfect for Phoenix. "Yeah, let's fog it up." Nyxie chuckled, dipping his head slightly so he could meet his lips with her soft ones.
He snapped out of his charmed trance though when he heard Rayne squeal his name. He actually jumped. The teen whirred his head round and saw with wide, startled eyes as Elizabeth fell helpless through the air. Luckily enough though, before he even had a chance to grab his wand, Mackenzie had saved the day. Phoenix blew a long sigh of relief, realizing only then that he had been holding his breath.
"Yeah... she's okay... Mack's got her." Phoenix spoke breathlessly, relief strong in every word. He held Rayne close to his chest and kissed the top of her head affectionately. "Just a little scare, that's all. You can look now, c'mon, Rayski. Its alright."

To Elizabeth, it seemed like time slowed down. She felt herself falling, but it felt like she was falling for hours. She squeezed her eyes shut as she didn't want to see herself hit the ground. But, after a couple of seconds of not falling anymore, she opened her eyes and realized that she wasn't going to be broken on the ground; Mack had caught her. Safely in Mack's arms, she looked up and answered breathlessly, "Yeah. I think that I am fine. Excuse me for a second." She detached herself from his arms and walked a couple of paces before she fell to her knees and emptied her stomach onto the pitch.
Now, normally, she hated throwing up, and she did everything in her power to keep herself from throwing up. But, she couldn't help it. To her, she almost just died, and it scared the shit out of her. I was so close to seeing my youngest sisters again. She rolled over onto her back and away from the vomit so she could just catch her breath and stare up at the perfectly blue sky with the big fluffy clouds that she loved as a child. She focused on nothing else, just breathing and the sky.
