Dria had chosen to leave her father and her siblings alone. She did not really want to mess with them, and it was a given that the two of them would never see eye to eye. Dria was forbidden to come home during the winter holiday. So even during the summer she practically lived at Hogsmeade. She had a nice room above one of the shops. She didn't care that she avoided her home like a black plague. Alexandria was just entering into one of the shops for a bite to eat when she thought she saw someone following her out of the corner of her mind. She bit on her lip slightly. She hoped it was not anyone she really didn't want to spend time with.
It was one thing to avoid your parents, another thing to avoid any contact with anyone. Thankfully so far she wasn't written out of her father's will or anything, but she was sure that was coming. She still felt like she was disowned. She didn't really care either.
She opened the door in time to get a nice whiff of what was going on inside. She was just shutting the door, when someone went in behind her. She scowled at them for a moment, then went and sat down at the table. A menu floated her way and she grabbed it to look at it.

kids, it still sounded so weird. He was a parent now. Fuck. Brent snapped out of his mildly panicky OhmygodI'maparentit'sstillsoweird freak out going on in his head upon noticing Alexandria Malfoy. It seemed that every time Brent had come to Hogsmeade throughout the summer, he'd seen her here. It was a little strange, he had to admit. Maybe he should investigate? It would give him someone to talk to. "Mind if I sit here? ...You probably will, but that's too bad, 'cause I'm sitting here anyway." Brent smiled widely, sitting down opposite the Slytherin.[/ul]

Dria looked at him as he came into the room. She rolled her eyes a bit more. "What exactly do you want me to say, sure go ahead." She asked with a bit of a snare. She knew she needed to be some what nicer. She was after all a prefect. She just shrugged her shoulders. Go ahead. She said with a shrug. It didn't matter after all no one would care..
She picked up her sandwich and took a bite out of it. It was something to amuse her instead of worrying about everything and anything. She rested her eyes on her drink as she took a sip out of it. She had been avoiding everyone, she planned on keeping it that way until now. Until he had to come and sit down by her. Make her talk. She did not really like the sound of her voice, the way she looked. She really just preferred that she was alone. Her eyes looked back up at him. "Why are you not at Hogwarts?" She asked. She assumed that they went back before the students. They had to get everything ready for classes right?

She shrugged slightly as she watched his facial features. She was intrigued how her comment did not urk his nerves like she thought it would. She listened to him though some what more intently then she did before. "Really." She thought most of them just lived on the campus all the time. "What kind of changes?" She asked wanting to get the talk on him and him alone. She did not care to share her secrets. She did not care to let everyone know what was going on in her life. She just wanted them out and she really didn't care at what expense she got it at.
"Changes as in, role changes? As in teachers leaving?" She really was not to concerned, other then she was a prefect this year. They would see just how good it was to have her as one. Perhaps it was because of who she was.

"Oh, well I guess that's something good to know." She said with a shrug. "So are you leaving then, or is someone else leaving?" She was confused. She was hoping that no one in the Slytherin group was leaving. This was nerve racking.
"You mentioned the wedding, who are you marrying?" She was wondering. He asked why she was out on her own and she said not a word. She again was focused on him more then anything. It seemed over the break she wasn't really as bad ass as everyone thought she was. She was perhaps that same girl, just slightly scared.
She wrapped her arms around herself as she took a sip of her drink. She really was about to order a beer but she knew that would not go over well. She knew that word would get back to her father and she would be well, she didn't know what would happen. She just knew it would not be good. Her father would probably kill her, then again he probably wouldn't have even cared. "If you really want to know, let me have your beer." It was worth it right?

added the teenage girl in Brent's head. He was trying not to think about that though, he didn't want to have a freak out right in front of a student. Hang on, what? Brent was only going to get his question answered if he gave her his beer. One, beer was Brent's best friend and there was no fucking way he was sacrificing it. Two, he was not going to be the one to give alcohol to and under age student, especially a Malfoy. "No!" Brent answered her firmly, "Now, I really think you should tell me what's going on with you, Alexandria."[/ul]

She smirked when he said he wasn't leaving. When he added that it wasn't her head of house she looked at him with disgust. "There is nothing wrong with my head of house, so you might want to check your rudeness." There were four or five of them that were leaving. Well at least she knew it wasn't her head. Who else was leaving?
When he mentioned that he was marrying Professor Jackson she smirked. "So that bloke is marrying you, well I guess I sort of knew that was coming. What about that chick you were married too?" She asked. She had wondered if his divorce was final.
It seemed that her question wasn't answered, especially when it was going to come down to him not giving her the beer. She scowled at him. "Well then I guess i don't have to answer your bloody question, now do I."
He wanted to know what was up with her. She wasn't going to give him that answer. She had pretty much lost everything. Mack was with some other chick, and she was stuck with no one. She had nobody to rely on to. No one to tell her secrets too. She was not about to share any information with him at least at this moment.
"I could ask you to leave then."

with a person." Brent glared right back at Alexandria. Brent'd had to put up with Minna's constant bullying ever since his first year at Hogwarts... their personalities had just clashed. The fact that she was a pureblood Slytherin and he was a Muggleborn Gryffindor didn't help at all either. Even if Minna didn't exactly bully him anymore, Brent just couldn't be the better person and put an end to their ongoing conflict. "Mar-Madam Lovegood, or you knew her better as Madam McKinney I guess... Well, we're divorced now. She's dis- I mean, I haven't seen anything of her since then. We don't think she's coming back though in September." he told the Slytherin. Brent had no idea what had happened to Maryn, she seemed to have just disappeared, literally nobody knew of what had happened to her and it worried him sick. He wasn't letting Alexandria know that though. Brent narrowed his eyes although he knew getting angry was no way to get an answer out of the girl. "Fine. I'm getting an answer out of you at some point though, one way or another."[/ul]

She glarred at him when he bashed her head of house. She really did not like him talking about a pureblood like that. It just annoyed her. "Look, I don't go around calling you a mudblood, so stop bashing my head." She wanted to do something.
"So she has disappeared." She asked in a somewhat questioning tone. She knew what the Professor had said. She could see it in his eyes. "I doubt you will get any bloody answer out of me. Professor." She didn't want to tell him crap. Him pressuring her was not going to get anything out of her. She was not one to crack under pressure. "If your trying to make me crack, your wasting your precious time." She rolled her eyes. She would just get a drink when he left. It made since in her head at least. She would find some way to get drunk, to forget.

. I'm pretty certain she goes around telling everyone just how arrogant and filthy I am." he spat, "I know her a whole lot better than you do, young lady." Even if Alexandria didn't go around calling him a Mudblood, he was pretty certain that Minna did. They hated each other, what else could Brent expect? Brent was a terrible liar, and he knew it. Of course Alexandria would see right through what he'd told him, spotting the true meaning behind his words. "No... I mean, nobody knows. We-we're not to sure on her current whereabouts." he said quickly, knowing it was pointless but going with it anyway. "Fine but, y'know, the only thing I would do if you did tell me would be to help. Not that I'm gonna go and speak with your father, we'd end up killing each other."[/ul]

"I doubt it." She said with a roll of her eyes. She didn't care really. She just wanted him to shut up about her head of house.
"So she has disappeared, there's a difference you know." She rolled her eyes just a little bit. "Because she is lost." She said with a scoff. "It doesn't take a rocket scientist to find out."
"I doubt you would manage to kill my father, I'm pretty sure he would kill you first." She laughed. "But I don't feel like talking about anything."

be able to kill him." Brent smirked. Okay, no. Draco Malfoy was a big pureblood and Brent was a little Muggleborn. He got it, he was weaker, he'd lose. "Fine, I'll just bug you another day. Or get lots of other people to bug you." he shrugged.[/ul]

She looked at him as she rolled her eyes a little bit. It didn't matter that Brent was really annoying her. At least he was someone she could talk too. "I don't think that everyone is stupid enough to believe a lie like that." She thought inside of her head for a moment.
She rolled her eyes at his comment. "I'd still like to see you try." It wasn't going to happen. She knew it wasn't. She was just wanting it to happen. "You won't bug me, trust me. I know you won't." She rolled her eyes a little bit more. "And you won't get anyone else to bother me. You know it doesn't happen that way."
