Chase felt like relaxing. Rose was sleeping more than she had when they first brought her back home, but still wasn't sleeping an immense amount. Alex here helped a bit, but still not enough. Chase just couldn't wait till she grew up and slept like a normal human being.
He decided to take a break outside while she was napping. He went out in their yard and laid down. Reid had come, but Chase didn't pay much attention to him. He was still ashamed of what happened with Alex, and didn't know how to look him in the eye. He knew Reid would want to talk to him eventually, though.
Chase laid back on the grass with his eyes closed. Letting the sun shine down on him. He wondered how his animals were doing at Hogwarts. Maybe he'd take a trip out there.

Reid took a deep breath before walking towards the house. He would try to hold himself back from doing anything to his friend. Try is the key word. Reid wasn't sure he would be able to do it but he would try, for Alex's sake.
He noticed that Chase was out in the yard. He seemed to not be paying any attention to what was going on around him. Reid smirked, this would be fun.
He walked over to where Chase was laying out on the grass. He stood over Chase, his shadow covering his face. "Hello Chase."

Chase didn't hear the footsteps, but he felt the shadow cover his face for a second before he heard a voice call out to him. He jumped and sat up, clutching a hand to his chest. He looked up to see Reid. Well Fuck. Had Alex told him? Was he here to kill him? Life was good while it lasted.
"Don't fucking scare me like that dude!" Chase said, taking deep breaths to calm himself down. "What're you doing here?" He asked, trying to act as though he didn't think one of his best friends were going to kill him in cold blood then just leave as though nothing had happened.

Reid laughed. Scaring the shit out of him was just a perk of sneaking up on him. He sadly felt no remorse over it. "Sorry dude. It was just too easy. I needed a good laugh."
He crossed his arms and stared at Chase. He was just going to put it all out on the table. "Alright,you have two seconds to convince me not to ring your neck for kissing Alex."

Chase was pretty sure his heart stopped. So Alex had told him and now he was going to die. Well fuck. This was just great. Chase hadn't meant to do it! Why couldn't anyone understand that! Well... maybe because normal people don't do that.
"Two seconds... that's not very much time..." Chase said before realized he was wasting time. "Okay look.. I didn't mean to. It was an accident and a terrible mistake. We were both depressed and I just needed to feel like someone liked me still. Somehow it ended up with that. But he stopped it... we didn't do anything and I don't look at Alex that way. You should know I only love Brent." Chase tried to explain the best he could. He just hoped Reid would understand.

Reid gave Chase the evil eye. Oh he knew Chase was sorry, he was as sorry as Alex was, but he wouldn't let him get away that easily. "That's it? A simple you're sorry and I'm supposed to forgive you just like that. I don't think so."
He stalked over to Chase. He stood face to face with his friend, staring him in the eye. "Whatwas going on with you that you were so needy that you cheated with Alex? What could depress you that much that you would jeopardize not only your relationship with Brent but our friendship?"

Chase flinched at Reid's words. He knew that wouldn't just work like that... but what was he supposed to do. he had to apologize. "N-No... I don't think that. I just... well I.. but I am..." Chase stammered. He didn't know what the fuck to say.
Reid wanted to know what happened... it would make the situation seem so much worse. But Reid kind of needed to know. "Uh... Well. Brent cheated on me. Again. With Aiden. And yeah... I spent most of that day crying. After the Alex thing too... I felt so bad, Reid. I still do." Chase pleaded with Reid.

Reid sighed and dropped his arms. He knew there was something that caused Chase to do something so stupid. The fact that he had been cheated on made everything even worse. Why did everything have to be go so wrong all at once.
He collected his thoughts before speaking. "Okay Chase. While I don't condone what either of you did, I can see how your emotions made it possible. I am still not happy it happened though. But if anything ever happens like that again, I won't be responsible for my actions."

Chase didn't think anything had been more amazing than the words that came out of Reid's mouth. Okay... maybe when Brent said he's married Chase was better... and Rose's crying and laughter. But the point was that Reid had said those words and that was awesome.
Standing up, Chase wrapped his arms around Reid tightly. "It won't happen. Brent an I are still getting married... and I think that was it for the both of us. I want to think that at least. I know I won't cheat again. I've never felt that bad in my life. I just hope he's done too." Chase muttered, still hugging Reid. He pulled away and looked at him. "I'm assuming you and Alex aren't getting married with us..."

Reid hugged Chase back. No matter what Chase was still his best friend. "I'm glad you guys are still getting married. You two are the cutest couple I've ever seen. Well, besides me and Jay anyways." He smirked. He had to add it, he just had to.
He sighed. Alex and him and talked and he thought it was better they didn't get married with the other couple. They had things to work through and he realized it might have been a bit fast. "No, we aren't getting married with you. There are some things we need to work through. We will get married though, just not right now."

Chase decided to ignore the cutest couple comment. He didn't want to fight. Everyone knew they were the cutest and Alex and him came in second. "I can't picture my life without Brent." Chase told him honestly. He really couldn't. They were a family now. They had Rose, Tommy, Belaya. They loved each other. Chase looked forward to seeing him everyday on his life. It was true love.
"I'm glad you two are still getting married. Jay is happy with you. I hope you'll still let Alex be my best mad and you'll still be Brent's..." Chase added, hoping that Reid wouldn't mind Alex being his best man after what ha happened.
