Nathaniel gulped when he heard what Aiden said. Oops. That definitely had to be about him leaving his work in favour of comforting Brent. He only hoped that he wouldn't lose his job over that-- he didn't really have the qualifications to work as anything else, not at his age (and with his grades).
Then Brent spoke, and Nathaniel could feel a headache coming on. If Brent didn't want to go back, he couldn't really force him to (Brent was significantly larger than Nat, and what, 5 years older? It would be rather difficult). "Nothing's gonna just right itself if you don't go back, you know. You have to do something for things to start changing for the better."
He could tell that Brent was getting annoyed, but it was better for Brent to be annoyed at them than to have Chase and Brent's relationship all go down the drain. "Chase isn't going to turn you away, Brent. If anything, I'm guessing he'll feel comforted by your presence.

Aiden simply nodded with a smile at what Nate said. "I believe that young Nathaniel is right for once, Brent. chase won't turn you away if you go back to him. He loves you more than you know and he won't really stay mad at you." Aiden spoke and smiled. He stood next to Nate.
Aiden placed a hand on Nate's shoulders, "Don't worry, Brent. Everything will be alright. I promise. Chase will probably jump up and give you a hug when he sees you've returned." he added. This didn't hurt much as it would have if Aiden didn't come to terms with his feelings for Jackie.
The smile on Aiden's face was pure sincerity. Aiden was happy now. More than he ever thought he could be. "Come on Brent. That charm of yours will melt away any sorrow and anger Chase has right now. I'm sure of it." He squeezed Nate's shoulder a little. He was trying his best now. For all Brent and Chase. And especially for Jackie.
