...You are still my strongest memory... *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Chase was so happy to be finally going on their honeymoon right now. He didn't care that it was delayed a bit because of the funeral and everything. Brent needed that closure and Chase was fine with giving it. Once they had boarded the plane, Chase had curled up against Brent on the plane and fell asleep almost instantly. He was tired and was glad to be married to Brent. He was finally completely happy.
When he heard the flight attendant come on and say they were landing soon, Chase stirred awake and looked at Brent with a sleepy look on his face and a goofy smile. He was excited to have an entire week of nothing but Brent to himself. Alex had the kids and would be perfectly fine on his own. They had nothing to worry about. "You ready for this, Boo?"
Chase asked lazily as he tried to wake up before they landed on the ground and in the Bahamas. He was even wearing something for the warm weather. Something maybe possibly a bit girly as well, but he didn't care. He blamed Alex. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
...whenever I close my eyes, I see you clearly....

Brent hadn't been abroad to anywhere but Nevada in forever which had excited him enough but with it being his and Chase's honeymoon too he'd thought that he'd maybe not even fall asleep. Clearly, he'd been wrong. Because Brent was still Brent despite everything he'd been through he'd been through over the past year and that meant that he still found it way too easy to fall asleep and usually slept longer than any other normal human being as well. Then most often managed to be tired after that. Chase was insanely comfortable, okay? He couldn't help dozing off as well. He was also insanely hot in those shorts. However, that wasn't going to ever stop Brent from snickering at them.
The flight attendant coming over to announce that they would be landing in the Bahamas soon did wake up but kept his eyes closed and started grumbling about how rude it was to just wake them up when they were fast asleep like that. He had the feeling they weren't really listening though. Ugh. Even more rude.
He flicked his obnoxiously large pair of sunglasses down from the top of his head so they fell onto his nose and would protect his eyes when he finally decided to open them. He was eternally grateful for whoever had invented sunglasses as they did just as he'd hoped and saved him from cowering away from the sudden light attacking his vision because it had now been tinted several shades darker.
Blinking dozily behind his sunglasses, Brent smiled at his husband. Sleepy-Chase looked absolutely adorable, Brent thought to himself, his smile growing into a wide beam. He reached up and curled a lock of Chase's hair around his finger. "I'll be ready... if you carry me?" he offered, tilting his head to the side a little. Yes, despite having perfectly healthy legs, Brent still preferred not to use them most of the time.

Chase smiled widely at Brent and fact he was twisted a piece of his hair with his finger. Chase had still yet to find something wrong with Brent. He was just about perfect in every possible way. To Chase at least. As much as Chase wanted to carry Brent... well. He didn't quite think that was possible. "Boo... I can't carry you off the airplane. There are more people than just us on here and it'd look a bit weird. Plus then I'd have to carry both yours, and my luggage. Not doable."
Chase said with a smirk before bringing one of his hands up to gently touch Brent cheek before leaning in and kissing Brent softly. "How about when we get to our suite, I'll carry you to the bed." Chase offered with a suggestive eyebrow wave. He had thought of everything for this trip. They had tours set up, they had an expensive suite in an expensive hotel because Chase wanted Brent to have the best. They were going to have the best honeymoon in the history of honeymoons. That was something Chase was going to make happen because in light of everything else that's happened... Brent deserved at least an awesome honeymoon. What, Brent would have to walk? That wasn't any fun. But Chase kind of had a point about the whole carrying Brent and two loads of luggage being pretty impossible. "Pfft, 'kay." he rolled his eyes. As Chase kissed him softly, Brent couldn't stop himself from smiling again.
"That's more than fine with me." Brent chuckled at Chase's offer to carry him to their bed. Ugh, but still, he was actually going to have to move by himself before getting to their suite. He slowly stretched his legs out a little, his joints audibly clicking as they moved for the first time in hours. "Hey... do you think someone could lend me a wheelchair or something?"

Chase laughed at Brent and stretched with him. It had been a long flight and it seemed like both of them had been out for most of it. It had been peaceful. Being with Brent on the plane and cuddling into him. Chase still couldn't believe they were in the Bahamas for their honeymoon. Chase made a mental note to call Alex on the phone he gave him with the phone he bought. They needed someway to check in our their children. Wow that still sounded weird.
"No, Brent. No, because you have two wonderfully working legs right there."
Chase said as he rolled his eyes fondly at his husband. He reached over and laced his fingers with Brent's as the plane landed on the ground. He never liked landings as much. He didn't mind the flying or the take off. The landing actually scared him slightly. Once they were safely on the ground, Chase undid his seat belt thing and stood up, not letting go of Brent's hand, so forcing him to stand up. Chase was glad he decided to pay more for first class rather than have coach. "C'mon. I'm excited to see our room. There's a jacuzzi in it, and a view of the ocean. And there's an outside pool there. Oh and the brochure talked about a smoothie bar by the pool and a little bar in the actual hotel. There's also this place where people go to just relax or whatever in the hotel and there's a piano there! And it's going to be awesome." Chase rambled as the rest of the passengers started getting up just like they were. "Well, people don't need to know that, do they?" he smirked. Okay, Brent getting a wheelchair was an utterly ridiculous but still extremely Brent-ish idea that he'd probably not go through with... right now. Maybe some other day though; when Chase wasn't looking. All he had to do was claim that he had something really bad happen to his legs. Meh, he'd think about it another time.
He could tell that Chase seemed kind of anxious about the plane landed and, yeah, it made Brent a little nervous but he was okay with it. Brent gave his hand a gentle squeeze after Chase had laced their fingers together. Soon it was over though and Brent was forced to his feet. He almost started whining again but then got distracted by Chase's rambling. "Do I even want to know how much you've spent?" he raised a brow but couldn't help but beam at Chase. He was seriously too perfect, along with all his rambley cuteness that Brent adored. "I love you Mr McKinney-Jackson." he chuckled before leaning over to kiss his husband.

Chase was pretty sure Brent didn't want to know how much he had spent on this. He was worth every single knut. "Nope... Don't even bother asking."
Chase chuckled. He was so excited for this. More excited about the idea of a constant week of nothing but the two of them... but that was besides the point. Mr. McKinney-Jackson. Chase didn't think he would ever get tired of hearing that. Especially coming from Brent's mouth. "I love you too, Mr. McKinney-Jackson." Chase said with a wide smile as he kissed Brent back. "Now come on. Let's get off this plane and start our vacation." Chase smirked and started pulling Brent away and off the plane. Well, Brent had pretty much been expecting that answer from Chase. Of course he wasn't going to tell him. "Fine." he rolled his eyes, deciding to possibly not pester Chase about it for a little while. That was if he even remembered to when the time came. Brent doubted that he actually would. Since when did Brent have the mental capacity to remember anything? Yeah, exactly. Chase had done all this for him anyway, that was more than enough to satisfy Brent for now.
Brent was pretty sure he'd never get enough of that strange, giddy feeling he got after Chase told him he loved him. It was only multiplied now because he was Mr McKinney-Jackson, and Chase was Mr McKinney Jackson and it was just... asdfghjkl. Brent was so happy he forgot to start whining again when Chase practically dragged him off the plane.

Once off the plane, they went through the baggage area and got their luggage before catching a taxi to their hotel. Chase couldn't remember letting go of Brent once the entire time. He didn't want to let go of Brent yet. He didn't plan on letting go of Brent the entire time they were on their honeymoon.
They got to hotel in less than five minutes and checked in quickly. The room was already set and paid for. Chase had already taken care of it all. He dragged Brent along where he went and only stopped when they were in the elevator going up to their room. He smiled down at Brent. At his Husband. "I'm so excited to be here with you. Just the two of us."

They'd been walking for far too long. And there were loads of foreign people, well, more than loads. They were everywhere, speaking in... some other language that Brent wouldn't be able to name if even he wanted to try to. Indian? Was that was Bahamasy-people spoke? He had a burning desire to find out what exactly they were saying. Heck, Brent didn't know if this was a country or town or continent or what. Maybe he should've looked that up before they arrived since he wasn't going to swallow his pride and ask Chase. He wasn't stupid, he just lacked in most some areas of general knowledge.
"Yeah... me too." he smiled back, pushing all of the thoughts about the annoying Bahamasy-people to the back of his mind and giving Chase his full attention. That was the least he deserved for everything he'd done to make this possible.
