When Sophia got there, there were only a few students there. "Well, time to wash this clothes." she told herself.
Gianna walked in and saw Sophia "Hi" she said "I'm Gianna."
Sophia turned and smiled, "Hi, I'm Sophia. You can call me Sophie."
"Thanks, I will" Gianna said, then after a minute "So Sophie what’s your story?"
The question confused Sophia. "What do you mean?" she asked.
"I mean, where do you come from, why are you here, all that stuff." Gianna explained.
Sophia looked unsure for a moment and stared at her laundry, "Well.. You know... Same story as everyone else..." she said.
Sophia tried to think of a story to tell Gianna. She didn't want to come off as a typical rich kid that was sent away. "Well.. You know... Parents wanted me to get a better education. But they just really want to get rid of me... Those kind of stories." she said and tried to smile, hoping she wasn’t to obvious. She was not a very good liar. She knew it but hoped it worked still.
Gianna could tell that Sophia was lying, but she went along with it anyway. "That sucks." she said.
Sophia was a bit glad that Gianna didn't push the matter. She did feel bad however for lying to a possible new friend. She just didn't want to admit why she really was sent there. It was a bit too much of a hurt for her.
Sophia kept folding some of her clothes that was going to be washed as her eyes moved to carefully watch the new person that just came in. Her stare was not of anger nor was it to make an enemy. It was merely full of curiosity.
