Whoever takes my Drakey... treat him well because I've been very mean to him. Because of my evilness, his daughter now hates him.

Draco made a lot of enemies, namely Harry Potter and co. and practically everybody who wasn't in Slytherin. Over these five years, he spent his time working hard to impress his father as well as bullying several people, including the Golden Trio.
Sixth Year
Draco was handed the seemingly impossible task of killing Albus Dumbledore, was made a Death Eater who was part of the Inner Circle and had to try to prove to Lord Voldemort that the Malfoys were valuable to him. He failed but his father wasn't too displeased, he was more scared for the lives of his family.
Seventh Year
Draco did well at school with Snape as headmaster but was terrified of his lord. During the battle he switched alliegances several times to whatever side he was safest on. He became ashamed of what he had done and fled with his parents. He was also ashamed of his fathers.
Post Hogwarts
Draco soon married Astoria Greengrass to make his mother happy, he thought that she was okay and would be able to cope with raising a family with her, even if things were always a little awkward between them.
He soon began working at the ministry and worked his way up the career ladder, having his children around this time until he was head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation at the Ministry. He is now aiming to be Minister of Magic. It took a lot of hard work and false charm to make people believe that he wasn't as bad as people thought...

Draco wan't that torn up about his father's death, he found himself not even caring. His father was locked away for his crimes and Draco was glad that he didn't have to pretend to do things for Lucius anymore.
