Grinning, Maryn dragged Minna across the grounds, closer towards the Forbidden Forest with a slightly mad grin plastered across her face. She was ecstatic that she had Minna back, nothing could ruin her brilliant mood now. Even though she hated rain, Maryn ventured on, getting ever closer to the forest. The rain soaked her and Minna through but Maryn barely noticed it.
Finally, the rain wasn't quite so bad, as the Slytherins were sheltered by the lofty trees of the forest. Maryn had calmed down a little by now and had released Minna from her tight grasp. Smiling, she lent against the trunk of a large tree and put her hands inside of her pockets. Suddenly, she realised how cold it was outside. Oh Merlin, this was a bad idea, Maryn, wasn't it? she shouted to herself from inside of her head.
"Well, the weather isn't very nice today but at least it's a little more fun out here than it is stuck up in your classroom." she grinned, looking upwards at the grey clouds and then wiping her face as a large droplet of rain slid off of a leaf an landed on her nose.[/ul]

Minna found herself inside the Forbidden Forest. She always dreamed of the place when she had left Hogwarts. Now she’s back and Maryn has taken advantage of the little fact that the Forbidden Forest is still out of bounds to students. “It always had and forever will be.” she thought. She turned to Maryn who was beginning to shake due to the cold temperature.
Minna smirked and touched her friend’s shoulder and leaned to whisper in Maryn’s ear, “Tag. Your it.” She then laughed and ran away from Maryn who was still processing what she just whispered. Minna had already ran a few feet away from Maryn, still laughing.
How she had missed playing with her friend. It was the only muggle game they both played back when they were in school, discreetly of course. No Slytherin student would want to be caught playing a muggle game. “Still slow as you were, Mary…” she teased Maryn.

!" she retorted with a small smirk. She vividly remembered playing this Muggle game secretly with Minna when they were a lot younger... Maryn realised that she was caught up in her old memories again and Minna was getting further and further ahead of her. Scowling playfully, she ran after her old friend but knew that she wasn't going to catch her purely on foot. Swiftly, she pulled out her wand and shot a curse at Minna. Maryn slowly walked over to Minna who now was unable to move any part of her body. Grinning, she jabbed Minna in the shoulder. "Tag!" she shouted, "Got you!" Maryn lifted the curse and pocketed her wand. "And don't you dare think about making me do that again!" she whined half-serious, half-joking.[/ul]

Minna hissed at Maryn, “No fair. No wands allowed….” She said as her eyes glared at the cheating Maryn. Then she smirked. “Don’t do what? Break your daydreaming about dashing Brent.” Minna teased as she ran behind a tree. She had her wand in hand just in case Maryn decided to throw a curse or hex her way.
Minna could tell that Maryn loves Brent, though she didn’t know why. She knew she’d never understand it since she had never been in love before and never thought about it at all. She had always told herself that happy endings are a fantasy. It’s not real and it never will be.
She unwillingly slipped into memory lane. Recalling the only guy she ever liked, Steven Coville of Ravenclaw. Though back then, Minna would rather die than admit the truth that she liked him. She never told anyone about it, except Maryn of course. And Minna began to wonder how he was doing.
The last thing she heard of Steven was that he became a dragon handler in Asia. She wanted to apparated there once upon a time to get a glimpse but she never had the courage to do so. She regretted that she never went.

Minna just had to laugh when Maryn said “Twit in shining armor.” That was what they used to call the guys they liked back then. And Just as she stopped laughing, the image of Steven Coville popped into her mind.
“I don't know. I think I did. But I... Well, lets just say that I let him go just as easy as turning your back on a piece of mango peach pie.” Minna sighaed and looked saddened. She had lost her will to face Steven after all these years. Not because she was scared of not being remembered.
But because she was scared that when she does face him, he might be married to someone else already. And it was what kept Minna away all this time. She just never found the courage to speak to Steven. She was a Slytherin for Merlin's sake.
She was proud and would never admit first that she had feelings for the Ravenclaw prefect. Yes, Steven was a prefect back in there days. And Minna would often break rules just to watch him roam the halls at night, checking to see if anyone was out of bed.
She could remember the first night Steven had seen her. She was running down from the Astronomy Tower that night. And Steven just rounded the corridor then. She bumped into him both of them fell down.
Minna turned to see him look at her with an expression of shock and gladness. He stood up first and he offered her his hand. “I'm sorry. It was clearly my fault. I'm Steven, Steven Coville. Seventh year Ravenclaw. And prefect. You're Willhellminna of Slytherin right?” he had asked with a tone which surprised her. He wasn't mad at all. He sounded happy.
She debated whether to smile or not. “Yes, I am Willhellminna. But I prefer to be called Minna. I better go now. It's late and your a prefect.” she said with a saddened tone. She didn't want to leave but she had to. She turned and was about to run down the stairs when Steven called out, “I didn't see you here tonight.” he smiled and turned to continue his rounds.
This was the first time Minna's heart felt glad about bumping into a guy from other houses and not wanting to hex them into the next century.
Minna chuckled as she came out of her reminiscing moment and turned to smile at Maryn. A smile that was because of Steven Coville.

Maryn grinned, remembering her and Brent's first kiss that had happened that day, years ago. It was hesitant and a little on the sloppy side but perfect nonetheless. All she had to do was take one look at Minna and she knew exactly who her friend was thinking about.[/ul]

Minna's eyes widen in shock. Did she just hear Maryn right? She hoped that Maryn was joking. Despite being a Slytherin, she would never break up someone else's marriage just because she had strong feelings for the guy. I would devastate her if that would ever happen. She was a woman who knew how it felt to be left by someone she loved.
Minna took a deep breath and sighed, “I wish it was that easy. But you know me better than anyone else. Depsite the image of what others see us as ex-slytherins, I would never dare to destroy some woman's marriage because I have feelings for her husband. I know how it feels to be left alone. I could never do it to other people.” she said.
“Besides, I can't just apparate to the dragon reservation in Asia. It would be totally embarassing. And I bet he doesn't even remember me at all. Maybe her already has a family of his own. I don't know...” Minna was a wreck. Only Maryn ever saw her in that state. No one else ever had.
Minna sat on the foot of the tree and was trying to fight the tears from falling down. She didn't want to cry. She never cried for any guy. Except Steven Coville. Him and him alone. “Bloody green and silver flames. I'm being too soft now.” she laughed nervously as wiped the tears that fell down her cheek. She then turned to look at Maryn and smiled.
“Come on, Mary. I better get you back in the castle before you dashing husbands send out the toads to look for you.” she teased. She knew how Brent would worry if Maryn would go missing without him knowing where she is.

Minna wiped whatever tears that had built up by her eyes and chuckled at Maryn. She was trying hard to make her smile. ”I just hope to see him or hear from him. That’s not asking much is it?” she thought to herself. She stood up and brushed of dirt from her bum and nodded at Maryn.
“Yes, time for us to go back to the castle and face our jobs. Is Brent doing anything right now? I’d like to see him again. What does he look now? (smirk) Because the last time I saw him, he was nothing but a scrawny and thin guy who looked like Shaggy from the muggle show Scobby Doo.” Minna teased as she giggled.
That was how she had picture Brent back when they were still students as Hogwarts. She stopped her giggle and smiled. “Funny how fast time flew. The last time we were here, we were still students. Now we’re teachers and heads of houses. Amazing.” She added. It was true. Time really did flew by. The only thing missing was Steven Coville. How it would make her smile if she heard from him.

Minna led Maryn back towards the castle. She had unwillingly went into memory lane as she remembered her and Maryn’s walks around the school grounds. “Despite time and years of space, I’m glad that we met up again.” Minna said sincerely.
She missed Maryn and her witty remarks. She missed her friend who she shared her thoughts and feelings with. Maryn had always understood Minna despite how hard Minna acted most of the time.
