Hugo scanned the darkened corridor with watchful eyes, searching the area for any signs of someone nearby. So far, the trip from the Hufflepuff common room had been uneventful apart from the fact Hugo had tripped up at least a dozen times and stubbed his toe on a coat of armour (luckily it wasn’t heard by anyone). Though really that’s just customary for Hugo.
It was about half past two in the morning now and Hugo’s stomach growled for food- fresh from the Hogwarts kitchens to be exact. He’d sneaked out like this on several occasions before due to the fact his hunger couldn’t wait until breakfast and was kind of like a routine to him now. Hugo was just thinking about the delicious chicken sandwich he’d receive from the house elves when all of a sudden he turned the corner and collided with another wanderer. He recognised the face immediately. "Watch it!" hissed Lauri, "What do you think you’re doing out of bed at this time, Weasley?" Hugo was quick to reply,"I could ask the same about you!"

James held Redwall, his badger cub, and hummed a soft lullaby to the hungry cub as he briskly walked to the kitchens. He stopped as he saw 2 students sneaking off, presumably to the kitchens, and hssing at each other. James wasn't too surprised as he loved to sneak to where his legs took him after curfew. It earned him quite a bit of trouble however.
"Hello you two!" James greeted the kids cheerfully "Where are you sneaking off to? If it's the kitchens then you can come with me so if we run into another teacher the two of you won't be in trouble. Oh, it's Lauri and... Hugo!"
James suddenly recognized his students and gave them a grin, though he was a bit embarassed that he didn't recognize them sooner. Others might find it weird that James would even try to remember all his students by heart but James had a very good memory and he sometimes overestimated it.

[/i] fault!" she began angrily to the Hufflepuff but stopped when she saw that the professor didn't seem to be angry at all. "We weren't sneaking off anywhere!" she snapped but realised she didn't even need to try and get out of a detention, it didn't look like she was going to get one. "Well, okay, maybe we were..." she sighed, "I don't know about Weasley but, as a matter of fact, I was heading down to the kitchens, I forgot about dinner again." She frowned at her professor. "Why do you have a badger cub? And why aren't you shouting at us and sending us to our heads of houses?" Lauri gabbled, the questions slipping out before she could stop herself.[/color][/ul]
