Chris walked through the giant main doors of the castle into the Entrance Hall. He had been spending more and more time outside, mostly by the lake. His conversation with Alex a while back always seemed to be at the front of his mind. He still didn't think he could completely trust her, not with what he's heard about the things her and her cousin have done in the past. He did however think that he could be friends with her. It would be nice to have someone he could call his friend, especially someone who gets him more than anyone else possibly could.
He realized it was about dinner time judging by all the noise coming from the Great Hall. Chris didn't feel hungry so he decided to skip dinner and just go to the Common Room. "Might as well get some homework done while I can."
He turned to head up the stairs when he saw her out of the corner of his eye. He turned towards her and said, "Hi."

Alex turned to see Chris and smiled sweetly at him. ”Took him long enough to decide.” she thought. She went closer to him, with books in her arms, “Hey. How have you been?... I’ve been thinking and I have been really patient. But don’t you think that it’s time for you to answer me?” she asked.
She and Blaze had been thinking of every possible scenario they think would arise. Chris will, do doubt about it, will fall for her charms and her revenge will begin. She knew that Blaze will be just as surprise when she finds out what she had planned to do from start to finish.
Chris seemed nice and sweet. But then again, Alex recalled what he did and this made her stand firm of her goal. ”He will be putty in my hands…” she thought again and laughed in her head. It was really hard for her not to smile so wide that would make him think that she was really up to something.
”My revenge will be clean and thorough. No one has ever survived and escaped from me without suffering first. And you, Mr. Christopher Sutton, won’t certainly be the first. That I can assure you.” she thought again and waited for him to say anything.

Chris gave Alex a half smile. He was still wary of her, maybe a little more so now that she was standing in front of him. "I've been okay I guess."
Chris scratched the back of his neck, a nervous gesture he has done for years. "I've been thinking a lot about...well about everything. I want to fix things with you. I do want to start over and I want it to be like when we first met. It was so easy to talk to you then.
"At the same time though, just like you probably can't trust me as much as you could have, I can't trust you fully either. I've heard things Alex, things that say you and your cousin like screwing around with people. I'm not sure if I can trust that I'm just not another one of those people who you mess with just for the fun of it."

Alex was definitely going to get Stone for this little bump on the road she is going through right now. This was already a scene they had thought of but she never knew that it would this quick. She gave him a half sadden smile. “I understand. Though I don’t know why I’m being stabbed in the back by someone I don’t know. But I know this, whoever told you things about me, they aren’t true.” She began.
She walked to the side and looked out the window, “Aside from Blaze, no one else knows me. They don’t know who I really am and what I’m capable of doing. But that doesn’t mean that because I’m related to a Slytherin, it definitely doesn’t mean that I’m mean or manipulative. I can’t do such things to other people.”
She turned to face Chris with a sad look plastered across her face. The very look guys hate seeing on a girl’s face while their talking. “I admit. I did plan on asking Blaze to avenge me… But.. I thought… What will that do me? Will I gain anything if I get my revenge? This and more questions came into my mind before I came up with one solid decision.”
Alex had her shy-and-hoping face on now, “I decided to not take revenge and pretend that nothing happened at all… hard as it seems.. especially since you took my first kiss and all… I am trying…” she told him.

Chris saw her sadness and immediately regretted what he had said. "She sure knows how to guilt a guy, Damn,,,how could anyone keep denying her after that."
"I'm sorry that I let some rumor get to me like that. I shouldn't have let that effect my decision in this. You're a cool person Alex and I want to get to know you more. So, to answer your question from a week ago, yes, I want to put this all behind us and just start over again. Though, I'm still a little wary of your cousin. She kinda creeped me out with what happened when I met her."
Chris wasn't sure how this would turn out but he hoped it would work out for the better. He really did like this girl and he wasn't sure what he'd do if this all turned out to be some revenge plot.

Alex tried her best to keep herself from slyly smiling. With his answer, her scenario has began. She dropped her books and just jumped to give him a tight hug and giggled like a little girl that got a lollipop for the first time. “Yehey!” she said happily before pulling away to face him.
“Don’t worry about Blaze. She won’t dare harm you. She knows that if she even attempts to plan something evil, I’ll be very sad and disappointed.” She gave him a loving and dearing smile. She then began to plan her next trapping words.
“Besides, since we’re starting again and all…” she smiled shyly. “I was thinking that maybe… Well… I was thinking.. Maybe… Just maybe… We can skip a few things and head on straight to getting to know each other deeper than normal..” she blushed tomato red as she looked away from Chris’ eyes.
In her mind, ”Your mine now, Sutton. There is no escape for you now.” she thought and had a mental evil laugh. It was clearer than the blue sky, Chris was already walking into her trap and he won’t be able to fight back. No one has and no one will ever.

"Oh..." Chris said when Alex hugged him. That was definitely not what he was expecting. He listened as she said that he didn't have to worry about her cousin. "Yeah right." he thought. "There is no way I'm letting my guard down around that girl. Between that look she gave me that day and just the vibe I got from her, she seems the type of person to attack first and ask questions later."
Then she said that she thought they could skip things. That sure got Chris' attention. "She wants to skip to the getting to know each other deeper part? What the hell! Isn't this the same girl who slapped me because I kissed her? Why are girls so confusing?"
"Woah, wait, what did you say? You want to skip straight to the 'getting to know each other deeper than normal' part? Um...you realize that people do that when they...well when they want to be more than friends. Are you sure you want that? I mean, I know we are going to put everything behind us, but you slap me because I kissed you."

Alex knew that Chris is being cautious. So she had to play innocent and shy. She gave him the I’m-sorry-to-have-surprised-you face. “Well… I did tell you that I wanted this year… my last year to be different from the last six years, didn’t I?” she told him.
”Sucker! I’d never fall for the likes of you! Playing dumb and innocent ! ha!” she thought. She knew that this would be a challenge yet again. But he wasn’t her match. He will be hers and she will enjoy making him suffer.
“’Well… if it’s a no already… I’ll understand…” she said in a sad tone as she turned around. She had a smirk on her face that Chris can’t see. And she sighed loud enough for him to hear. She bent down to pick up her books.
“I did tell you also that you took away my first kiss… and the slap was a reflex of a girl… I am a girl you know…” she said meekly. She was acting like the sad and already-rejected girl and that trick works every time. ”If only you could tell the difference between real hurt feelings and fake ones… Maybe you won’t be diving into my little act head first.”

Chris knew that if he couldn't blow it this time; he didn't think he'd get another chance if he blew it yet again. "Yeah, I remember you saying that. I just wanted to make sure that you were sure about what you want.
"Look, I like you ok. I don't know what it is about you or why I randomly have these feelings I can't explain. There's just something about you..." Chris couldn't believe he was rambling on, again, to Alex. He hoped that she didn't make fun of him for it.
Chris picked up the last of her books off the floor. He handed it to her and said softly, "I want to get to know you better. I want to see where this will lead. I'll tell you know that no matter what I'll treat you the way you should be treated. You'll soon learn, that I'm a very respectful of the women I...see. I'm also very protective of those who are close to me."
Chris hoped that she saw the honesty in what he said. He really was a respectful person, despite his earlier actions.

Alex dropped the books again and gave Chris another hug with a big smile on her face, big enough for him to see her happiness. Or so he thought. ”Hook, Line, and Sinker!” she thought to herself. He was really diving in into her trap head first.
”Well I can't blame him if he fell for my charms and lies... I can't blame all the others who fell for the same charms and lies that I sent their way... hahaha... Guys are you gullible. It has to be said of them.” she added in her own mind.
She giggled so gleefully that she knew and was confident that not even Sutton can smell the lies that has began to wrap around him and her “feelings” and this made everything perfect. Her scenario was right on track.
She pulled back but her hands were still wrapped around his neck. She smiled at him so lovingly that it would melt any frozen heart that saw the smile. “Now I know that you're different. And I want you to know that I am different from my cousin as well. I just hope that whatever you heard wouldn't be the reason you and I would not get anywhere further than where we are now.” she told him and gave him another tight hug.
“This is so different... I've never felt this way before. And I hope that you wouldn't break my heart. That is all I ask of you.” she added. But she had a victorious grin on her face already. A grin that Chris couldn't see.

Chris smiled as Alex hugged him again. He was kind of surprised when she kept her arms around this neck, but he wasn't going to complain. It felt nice to have her in his arms. It felt...right.
He wrapped his arms around her waist, making sure to keep them in a modest place. "Wouldn't do for her to get mad at me for something like that just when she's forgiven me."
"I promise to try my hardest not to break your heart. I can't promise that it won't happen because I don't want to make a promise that could accidentally get broken. I have a slight anger issue and sometimes I just react without thinking of the consequences. This is why I can't make the promise you wish me to. It would be unfair to both of us. I do promise that I will try my hardest to make sure nothing like that ever happens.
"That being said, what does this make us? Are we friends? More than friends? What?"

Blaze watched silently from the corner and waited for the right opportunity to show herself. She was already having a great time watching the lion fall for a Raven's snaky lies. ”Guys are really easy to fool. Hahaha... And you, my dearest Alex, are a true blood Slytherin. No doubt about it.” she thought to herself as Alex tightly embraced Chris.
”One thing that I don't understand is how you two met. Hmmm... Alex will have to explain it to me later. (grins) But for now... The show has only began.” she added. Blaze watched carefully and saw the smiles and giggles Alex showed.
Her (meaning Alex) skills have truly sharpen from the first time Blaze saw the skills for herself. It was when she first came to the Knightly Mansion. That time, she and Alex weren't that close yet. She could remember so clearly how Alex broke the vase that stood next to Blaze when they met out in the hallway.
”Hello Sophia. I do hope you're going to enjoy your stay here at Knightly Mansion.” Alex said as an evil grin creeped into her angelic face. She then knocked the table over and the vase fell the same time she fell back down, grabbing Blaze with her.
Blaze fell on top of Alex and they both landed with a loud thud and the sound of the vase crashing to the floor. A few seconds passed and Alex's parents were running up the stairs along with the maids. “Alex! Blaze! What happened?” asked Matilda, Alex's mom with worry glued to her face.
“Blaze tripped and knocked over the vase table. I tried to catch her and the vase but... (laughs shyly) I forgot that I'm not that big to do either task. But I tried though.” Alex said and smiled angelically to her parents. It was then that Blaze knew Alex was a snake by blood. And it was then that their friendship began.
Blaze snapped out of her trip down memory lain and was in time to hear what the lion just said to her cousin.

Alex gave Chris her killer smile. The same smile that broke hearts during a trip to Dumstrung two years ago. She had broke about twenty hearts or more when she left them to find out that she was not dating on but almost a a quarter or the Dumstrung's strongest quidditch team.
“Alright. No promises then... But when you feel like going on a rage, give me a heads up so I won't be in the way.” she said. She had already noticed that his hands were wrapped around her waist already, another clear sign that he indeed has fell for her.
“About your last question... Hmmm.... We just might be on our way there.” she told him and smiled sweetly. She brought her face closer to him, still smiling. “But if I find out that you're cheating on me or lying, I will castrate you with my own wand and I will break your legs with a troll's club.” she added a threat with coated with an angelic smile that usually left guys wondering if it was just an airy threat or not.

Blaze knew that the scenario was going a bit too fast than they thought. She had to break the on going scene before the foolish lion begins to think that everything was going way too fast. She straighten herself up and turned to face Alex and Chris.
“Alright, alright... Break it up. Before my cousin loses something graver than her first kiss.” she said as she walked towards them. Alex still had her hands around Chris and this amused the snake greatly. “You better not hurt my cousin again like you did the first time... or I might just do worse than what she just said.” Blaze added.
She stopped a few feet away from them and gave her cousin a Slytherin smirk. “You will have to make sure that this guy won't take anything else from you.” she told Alex. “But then again, your old enough to decide things for yourself... but you know that I'm here for you, right?” she said sweetly at Alex.
Then she turned sharply to the Gryffindork, “And you, have I seen you before?... Scratch that... Hurt her, I will dissolve you into nothing. Got it?” she said protectively.

"Fuck!! Did she...? But my...well shit! Not only do I have...this wonderful girl...threatening my manhood but I also have her cousin threatening to do more than that! What the hell!" Chris sighed and looked at Alex. "It's a damn good thing she's worth it."
"Ok, no need for the threats ladies. As I told Alex, I can't promise that I won't hurt her, because I don't want to make a promise that I might accidentally break."
He turned towards Alex, holding her a little closer, but still not too close. "I will however promise you that I will not cheat on you. I believe that cheating is a horrible thing to do to someone and would never do that to anyone. I also promise never to lie to you. I want you to promise to do the same though. Will you promise me that you will never lie to or cheat on me?"
