Alex knew this would come up. And she smiled inwardly. And she knew Blaze was laughing in her head too. Alex had made that promise countless times before and this was nothing new. She faced him and gave him a reassuring smile.
“I promise not to cheat on you.. I promise not to lie either.” she told him and hugged him. She smirked at Blaze who was smirking back at her. This was certainly going very smoothly. But Alex knew it was too early to celebrate.
“However, you better not repeat what you did earlier. Or else, I'll let Blaze have a go at you. And let me tell you, she does not play nice to people who hurt me.” she told him with a smile.
“And we aren't threatening you, Chrissy. We're reminding you of what might happen when you hurt or make me cry. Whichever comes first.” Alex added.

"Do me a favor, never call me 'Chrissy' again. It makes me sound like a girl and I am definitely not a girl."
Chris was glad that she promised the same things he did. He now just needed one more promise, though he wasn't sure he would get it. If he was correct, she would only give him the same promise he gave her. "Doesn't hurt to give it a go and see what she says." he thought to himself.
"I want you to promise me one more thing. I want you to promise me that you won't hurt me either. Girls aren't the only ones who can get hurt you know. I don't want to go into this looking over my shoulder, wondering if I'm going to get hurt. So, will you promise me that this isn't some sick joke? Will you promise me that you won't hurt me intentionally?"

Blaze rolled her eyes and sighed. “Can you continue this some other time? I'll call you Chrissy. Nothing you can do about it...”she started.
“And before I gag my insides out, I will be collecting cousin now so she can explain to me where she met you and the rest of the details that led to her planning a revenge.. that she didn't go through with it.. which is such a waste, if you ask me... But anyhow...” she said and grabbed Alex's arm, prying her off the lion.
“You have a lot of explaining to do , missy.” Blaze told her with a serious face. “She will be in one piece when you see her again, that much I can tell... however...” she turned to look at Alex, “If she misses even a tiny bit of detail, she might earn her house colors on her skin.” she grinned at Alex who gave a low hiss and looked annoyed.
“And may I remind you cousin, that stares like that don't work on me. Never have.. never will.” she said confidently. She released Alex's arm and bent down to grabbed the books Alex had brought with her and stood upright again. “Time to go, 'claw.” she simply said and dragged Alex to the dungeons, the only place lions won't dare to roam around.
“You actually hissed at me, you snake by blood you.” Blaze whispered, teasing Alex as she led the way towards the stairs and down to the dungeons.

"Why is it that I'm always the one left standing somewhere?" Chris asked himself aloud. "Those two are so...weird and confusing. And seriously, why are they calling me Chrissy? I'm not some fucking girl."
Chris watched as the two retreated to the dungeons. He still didn't really know what to make of those two. All he knew was that he was going to get to know Alex better and hope for the best.
"Wait, did Blaze just threaten Alex? My Alex. Wait, where the hell did that come from? Doesn't matter. All that matters is that if there is even one scratch on Alex, he was going to hunt down that snake and let her know that family or no, you don't hurt someone else."
With that Chris turned towards the stairs and headed up to the library. He had homework to do after all. "She didn't even give Alex time to answer my question." He sighed and continued on his way.
