I Just Hope Things Wouldn't be HArd From Here On..

Minna smiled wider. “Ms. Livington, thank you once again for the greeting. And I hope to see you in class soon, if you ever took up Ancient Runes that is. Mr. Sutton, I believe that I did not dismiss you from your task of helping me look for my books. And I would like to hear more of this Alex you speak of. She must be that wonderful that you would stand up and vie for her attention against her own cousin.” she said.

She stretched her hand out with the piece of parchment that Chris gave back. “Besides, I think that you and I will get along just fine, Mr. Sutton. Don't think of me as the Head of Slytherin House. Just see me as your Ancient Runes professor.” she added with a warm smile.

She may be Slytherin's head but that doesn't mean she was that cold and snobbish when it came to students of the other houses. She always wanted to promote unity wherever she went. Even when she was in school during her school days.

Chris gave a tiny smirk at Professor Theoreux's simple dismissal of Blaze. After all, it wasn't every day that you saw the Head of Slytherin give a subtle talking down to of a Snake.

"I guess I thought since I volunteered for this that I was free to leave at any time. I'm apologize Professor if I seemed disrespectful. I assure you that it was not my intention. As for Alex," he smirked at Blaze "I would be happy to tell you about her. I must confess though, I do not know all that much as we have just started to get to know each other."

Chris smiled at the professor before continuing. "If we could start looking for these books though Professor, I do have homework that I need to get to today."

[Sophia Blaze Livington]

Blaze was in shock. Did her own Head of house choose the lion over her? A Slytherin? Blaze lost all her thoughts for a few moments. When she recovered, she bowed and looked at the professor, pasting a smile on her face. “Very well, good luck on your task, professor. And you will be seeing me and my cousin during your class. Good day.” she said as she turned to head on out.

That was just great. The lion got dibs on her own head of house. She just had to make him look bad. Which made Blaze wonder why the Minna she just faced and the Minna that had a conversation with Professor Blackwood was entirely different.

That Minna was cold and down right mean while the Minna she just faced was warm, smiley, and kind. Even to lions. This was something she had to think about. And she had to make a plan on how to gain the teacher's favor. She knew she would need it eventually.

She left the library and headed on back to her common room to contemplate on her situation, her cousin, and her revenge on that lion. ”He'll pay for this. Or my name ain't Sophia Blaze Livington of Slytherin.”

"Shall we professor?" Chris started walking towards the section of the library he thought they would be able to find the books they were looking for. "What exactly about Alex does she want to know? I mean, I don't even know all that much about her so I'm not sure what I could tell her even if she asked. Hmm...I guess I'll just tell the basic stuff."

"I don't know a lot about Alex but what I know I guess I can tell you. Alex is a seventh year Ravenclaw and is Blaze's cousin. The two of them grew up together and apparently are like sisters. She really seems to get me, and though we have had a little spat I think we could really work out. I just hope that Blaze will back off and just let things happen with me and Alex."

Chris wasn't sure what all the professor was looking to get out of that conversation, but that was all he was willing to give. Things were just getting started with Alex. He didn't want to ruin it because he ran his mouth.

Minna listened intently to Chris. He seemed to have been stricken badly. However, something caught her attention. The smile that was on her face disappeared and she turned to face the young lion. “I hope that whatever problem you to have will be resolve. But I must say this, since you say that this Alex is a cousin of Ms. Livington, you must be careful.” she began and turned to look at one shelf.

“I have this feeling that there is something hidden between every line. I recall Ms. Livington saying that her cousin will choose her over you always. I have a feeling that she was confident about it because both of them are thinking about something. This being the fact, you must not trust them too fast.” she sighed.

“It may be a shock to you that the head of Slytherin is saying these things about her own house. But I do not want to remain unfazed when I see that there is something worth watching out for. They are like sisters as you say making everything more alarming than ever. If Ms. Livington would be confident that she is not jealous of you for her cousin, you must know why.”

“There is always a reason behind every person's words. Why they are confident about a particular situation and the such. Do be careful Mr. Sutton.” she told him with concern.

"Wow Professor. That was rather...deep of you. You are right though, I know not to trust them too much too fast. Blaze has already shown me her temper and was down right rude to me. Alex, though she can be sweet, can also be a lot like Blaze.

"They walk around talking to each other all the time. Though this could be just normal sisterly talk, I don't believe it always is. I've seen the looks that Blaze gives me sometimes and if I hadn't already decided to keep an eye on her, the looks would have made that decision for me.

"I've promised Alex that I wouldn't judge neither her nor Blaze by the rumors that go around the school. It's a promise I plan on keeping so I will just have to see how they act towards me."

With that Chris left Professor Theoreux in search for the books she so desperately wanted. It took about a little over an hour for the two of them to find the five books. "Here are the book Professor. I'm sorry but I must leave you now. I have homework that I really should finish tonight. Good bye Professor."

Chris walked out of the library towards the Gryffindor Common Room. "Maybe now I'll have some peace and quiet to do my homework."

Minna smiled and was happy enough to have the books in her arms. Now she can finally read them and get ready for her class. She watched as Chris left and before she went to the librarian to check the books out, she smiled.

“Thank you, Mr. Sutton. And I will very much enjoy watching you, Ms. Livington, and her cousin closely. Something tells me that you last year will be interesting for me.” she whispered to the wind.

She slowly walked to the front, hand the books checked out and exited the library, heading back to her classroom to read them. She had about an hour before dinner and she knew that it was enough time for her to finish half of the task by then.
