Minna had walked into the almost empty library and took the table at the very end of the place. She had to look up at some of the things that she would be discussing during her class and she knew it was better to be well prepared. It was her first time of course.
“Well… Time to get started then.” She told herself as she took out the list of books in her hand and wondered if she could find them all on her own before dinner. The student assistants weren’t where they were supposed to be… Much to her annoyance.
She had to find: 1. Macromannic Runes 2. Medieval Runes 3. Magical or Divine Use of Ancient Runes 4. Places of the Most Powerful Runes in History 5. Basic Runes for Starters
She then began to wonder again, "Do they have these books here?... (groans) I hope so…” she thought. It was already hard to look for them in the muggle library (Trying to stretch her luck), she hoped it wouldn’t that hard to look for them at the Hogwart’s library. It would be a living nightmare if she didn’t find them.
In the midst of her search, she heard the doors of the library opened and close. This made her think, ”Where are those students when you need them?”

Chris walked into the library, looking for a good place to do his homework. He wasn't sure how much he'd be able to concentrate since his mind was still on what just happened with Alex.
While he was looking for a place to sit he saw a woman looking around like she was lost. "Is she a professor? I've never seen her before." Chris walked over to her and asked "Um...are you looking for something? I'm still new here but maybe I could be of some assistance."
He knew he needed to do his homework, as some of it was due that week, but he couldn't just let her wonder around the library for hours looking for her books.

Minna turned to look at the young man that just suddenly offered to help her. Minna knew with one look that he was a student. And she totally forgot to tell him that she was a teacher. She gave him a polite nod and smiled. “I’m not really lost. I just can’t seem to find the books that I need to borrow and read. I’m new here too. That make’s both of us.” She said.
“It’s strange that a stranger would offer another stranger help out of the blue, don’t you think?” she asked him with a glint of mischief in her eyes. She was playing mind games and couldn’t help herself. It was her fault that she didn’t look like the rest of the teachers. She was young, beautiful, and proud of it.
The rest of the faculty, dare she think it, old, moody, and mean. However she knew better than to judge people who she didn’t know on a personal basis. She turned back to the student, “Answer this then… Did you really mean your offer of help because I seemed lost and in need of help? Or because your new and would like to seem pleasant, even to strangers.” She asked.
“I hope you won’t take it the wrong way but most new students tend to be like that.” She added as she then waited for him to speak.

"Would you believe me if I said both. I noticed that you were kind of looking around like you don't have any idea where things are. I thought I could help you out just to help you. I am a nice person though and figured that showing how helpful I can be wouldn't be a bad thing."
Chris took a closer look at this...woman? He was still confused on whether or not she was a teacher or a student. She wasn't wearing a uniform but that could just mean that she changed clothes. "I guess I'll just have to ask her."
"I'm Chris by the way, Chris Sutton. What's your name? I don't think I've seen you around, not that that means much. I still don't know a lot of people in the castle."

Minna smiled politely back at Chris. “Nice to meet you, Chris. I’m Minna Theoruex. Don’t bother trying to read my last name. A lot of people gave up trying.” She joked around. “Well, since you really are sincere with your offer, I’ll gladly accept it.” She said as she showed him her list. It was nicely written in non-cursive and bold letters to be easily read and understood.
“These are the books that I need to find and read. I just hope I… We can find them before dinner. I hate to leave a task undone.” She explained. She began to look for book number one. “Being nice isn’t a bad thing… you just have to be careful who your being nice too. Not many people will understand if your being nice to them because your just plain nice and helpful. Some might think your sucking up to them because they will owe you a favor that they won’t be able to disagree when you claim it.” She spoke.
“That’s how people are. Wizards tend to help other wizards because they can gain something from it or because of blackmail. Sometimes, we magical people tend to act like muggles do… Not that I have anything against them. It’s just that… Muggles tend to be stupid when a situation warrants them to be understanding and useful.” She added with a smile.
Her voice and choice of words made her seem like a student who had gone through life full of troubles and suffering. And it was that case with her. Minna did go through pain and suffering. And it was something she wanted to forget.

"Yes, I hope this doesn't take too long. I have some homework that needs to be done. How do you want to do this? Do you want both of us to look for a book each or do you want us to look together?"
Chris wondered why the name sounded familiar but he couldn't place it. Had someone in his house mention it before? Was it Alex, Blaze or Mack that mentioned it? He didn't know but figured he'd figure it out eventually.
"As for me being nice, it was how I was raised. Both my birth parents and my adoptive parents instilled in me that being a nice, respectful and helpful person was the best way to live. I was taught to hold the door open for anyone, a woman especially, and help anyone whenever I could. It may seem like 'a muggle thing to do' but I don't care. It's who I am and others will just have to deal with it."

This made Minna smile. “How I wish guys were like you… Then jerks won’t be around.” She said. “I’ll look for one, two, and three while you look for four and five. But if you manage to find books one through three, pick it up too.” She said,
“Your parents are right you know… being nice does have its advantages. Like on girls. We like guys who are nice and helpful. The kind who would wait until her last class is done so they can spend a little time together. The type who would worry for the girl if she scrapes her knee.” Minna said in a wishful tone.
She began to recall her own failed relationships and how unlucky she had been. She was always being left behind because of shallow and downright stupid excuses. It took her a while to make herself believe that it was never her fault. She wasn’t the one with the defect. She turned to face Chris and gave him a warm smile.
“How I wish I had met you sooner… Then maybe I would never have to feel what a broken heart is… if not, how I wish all guys were like you… sweet, caring, helpful, and respectful.” She said before turning to face the shelves.

Chris chuckled as Minna said that. "I just hope that Alex will learn to appreciate my nice personality. I did pick up her books for her earlier, which she turned around and dropped again. Though she did drop them to hug me so I don't care as much."
Chris' thoughts once again turned to Alex. She was a great girl and he hoped that everything worked out with her. He also hoped that she wouldn't let Blaze get to her and change what she thinks about us.
"So I'll take the 4th and 5th books on this list. I don't know exactly where to look for these but I will try my best to find them for you."
Chris was about to go look for the books when he heard the library door open again. He turned around to see who it was and saw...

Blaze entered the library and saw Chris with Minna, Slytherin’s new head of house. She smirked and knew from one look that he doesn’t know that Ms. Minna was a teacher. Not that Blaze could blame him. The new Ancient Runes teacher wore black skinny jeans and a V-neck black blouse that made her chest look stunning.
“You seem to be on every beautiful girls today, lion. I wonder how my cousin would feel if she knew that you have found another girl to hit on just as she went away. Tsk tsk tsk…” Blaze said with a smirk. She was definitely going to enjoy torturing him. Even if it was only for a few moments. The teacher was bound to stop her fun.
“What have you got to say for yourself now,Chrissy? Isn’t loyalty one of Gryffindor’s main character traits? Because from what I see, you can’t be loyal for an hour.” Blaze added and tried to control her laughter when recalling that she was inside the library. She stood up right and gave Chris a Slytherin smirk of victory.

"This is not what you think. I just came up here to study and noticed that she needed help finding some books. I was just being nice and helping her find some of them before I found somewhere quiet to do my homework."
Chris couldn't believe his luck. Not only did Minna tell him that it wasn't 'the wizarding way' to be nice, but now his...friend? girlfriend?...Alex's cousin was being a bitch and trying to get him into trouble with Alex. "I really hope Minna will back me here. She knows that I wasn't hitting on her, right?"
"I swear I wasn't hitting on Minna. I was simply helping her with her books. Heck, I just mentioned that I hoped Alex appreciated my nice, helpful attitude towards life."

Blaze tried her best to suppress any attempt to laugh out loud and inside the library. She clasp her hands and covered her mouth tightly and laughed her heart out. It was confirmed, he didn't know that he was 'helping' the snake's new head of house.
Moments later, Blaze stood straight and faced the worried looking lion. “From what you just called her confirms my theory. You don't know who she is at all then.” she said with a smirk. She walked passed him and stopped a few feet away from Minna and bowed.
“Welcome to Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I am Sophia Blaze Livington of Slytherin House, Seventh year.” she showed her finest Slytherin smirk. Blaze then gracefully turned back to face Chrissy.
“Well, I just love moments were I am better than a member of the other three houses here. You, lion, are in the presence of Hogwart's new Ancient Runes professor and Slytherin's new Head of House, Ms. Willhellminna Reynaldi Theoreux.” she said with Slytherin pride.
“What have you got to say now, lion? I can't blame you though. At first glance anyone can actually mistake her for a new seventh year student. She's in jeans and a blouse. Completely normal.” she said in a tone that makes it sound that it wasn't normal to mistake a teacher for a student.

"What the..." Chris was in shock. He apparently been right when he thought that she might be a teacher. "Okay, well not completely correct but I at least had my suspicions didn't I? I wonder why she didn't just tell me that she was a professor though. I mean, it's not that big of a deal, is it? Maybe it was some sick joke. She is the Head of Slytherin House, that doesn't seem too out of the realm of possibilities when it comes to Snakes."
Chris turned towards the woman he now knew to be a teacher. "Well, it's a pleasure to be properly acquainted with you Professor. Since you have one of your Snakes here, perhaps you do not need me to help you after all."
Chris shoved the list of books that the professor had handed him into Blaze's hands. "Here. She asked me to find the last two on the list. I guess that's your job now."
He turned to leave, calling over his shoulder, "Have a nice day ladies."

Minna smiled at Blaze and wondered what was going on between her and the boy who helped her. She had totally forgotten about the books as the present situation was amusing her already. “Hold on, Mr. Sutton. I must say that I merely forgot to tell you that I am a teacher because I was too worried of the books. I needed too badly that I thought that not saying I am a teacher would make you at ease about helping me.” she said and turned to Blaze.
“Ms. Livington, thank you for the greeting. And I am looking forward to meet the rest of your fellow Slytherins soon. And as for you, Mr. Sutton, thank you very much for you offer of help. However, since you and Ms. Livington are in the middle of a lover's misunderstanding, I tell you Sophia that he did not 'hit' on me as you had put it. And he was merely helping me look for the books that I will be using during classes.” Minna explained softly and smiled.
Minna thought that her house member was right. In first glance, she really didn't look much like a teacher since she was in jeans and a blouse. She knew that she had to wear that robe that the Head Mistress gave her but since it wasn't class time, she thought that it wasn't going to be necessary. Well, now it was.
However, being mistaken as a student was a compliment to her. She didn't look old at all. “I am deeply sorry, Mr. Sutton if you feel that I have made fun of you in any way. Rest assured that it was not my intention to do so.” she told Chris with a sincere tone and smile.

Chris was once again shocked. "Did she just say lover's misunderstanding? That's just crazy!" He figured that he might as well clear that up.
"There is no 'lover's misunderstanding' professor. Blaze here is just looking for a way to get me away from her cousin. She doesn't like that Alex might actually like me, or at least be giving me a chance. She's jealous in my opinion. She's jealous that Alex might start spending more time with me than with her."
Chris shrugged before continuing. "That's not what matters right now though. Though I would have appreciated knowing that I was helping a professor instead of a student, it wouldn't have changed my decision to help you. I only decided now to let Blaze here help you because not only is she a Slytherin, she's also been here longer. I figured she would benefit more from helping you."

Blaze nodded in agreement to what Chrissy said about the no 'lover's misunderstanding' thing. However, she ticked when he said she was jealous. “Ha! Me? Jealous of you? That's highly unlikely. Why would I be? Just because my cousin is going to start seeing doesn't mean that I'd be jealous of that.” Blaze began as she flipped her hair.
“And another thing, when it comes to time, I know that Alex would choose me over you any day of the week. That much I can assure you.” she said with confidence. “The day when she chooses you over me, I would bow and do anything you tell me to do.” she added. That was how confident she was.
Alex would never choose him over her when it came to Alex's free time. “Furthermore, even if I have been here longer than you have, it won't matter. Ms. Theo-Minna is just as new are you are.” she said with a bit of hesitation for some reason. The way the teacher was analyzing the situation, Blaze felt that it wasn't going to be in her favor.
