Blaze had hear rumors of a new Head of House. She wanted to see for herself who it was. Then again, she was never the type to be a member of the welcoming commity. Not that Slytherin House didn't have one. Blaze knew for a fact that the moment a new faculty arrived, either that professor be on their side or against them. She rounded the corner and saw two people outside the Ancient Runes classroom. And one of them was the Head of Hufflepuff House. She wondered who he was talking to.
Blaze slowly walked closer, wanting to hear whatever they were talking about. She hid herself neatly behind a pillar just a few feet away from the staffs.

Minna stood outside her new classroom, looking at the back of the mysterious person who just greeted her. "Well, thank you again. For the greeting and all. I'm Willhellminna by the way. Minna for short. New Head of Slytherin House." she told him. "You are?" she asked, waiting for an answer.

Blaze's eyes widen in surprise. "That's our new Head of House?" she thought to herself. She carefully examined Professor Minna. She was young and gorgeous. But then again, she seemed too young. "She might be just like my older sister... If I had one." she thought again. She went back to listening to the two professors who were talking.

Clarice had decided to take a stroll through the corridors as she was tired from the long day she had endured. It wasn't all bad, but she hated getting set up for the first few charms classes. It was always hard with the first year, even though they ended up doing the same every year. Every year she tried to change it up, but always chickened out at the last second. She was always afraid they were going to set the castle on fire.
Soon she ended up walking on the fifth floor, somehow. She honestly hadn't been up there that much due to lack of need. She did know, however, that the Ancient Runes classroom was just around the corner. They had gotten a new teacher this year, who was now taking the place as Head of Slytherin house. As a fellow Head, Clarice decided to pay her a visit and congratulate her.
She was, however side tracked when she turned the corner of the last stretch of corridor before the classroom. An older looking girl was at the corner, clearly spying on something or someone. Clarice chuckled quietly to herself before sneaking behind her and looking at what she was spying on. It was there that she saw Keith and someone whom she assumed was the new teacher talking.
"Hear anything good?" she whispered just low enough for the girl to hear, a smile on her face as she did so.

Blaze didn't really realize who it was that asked her. Her full attention was on the two teachers talking. She was still looking at their direction as she shifted her postion to give whoever was behind her space to see.
"Nothing yet. The strangely beuatiful woman is Slytherin's new Head of House. She seems so young to be a teacher, much less a Had of House. I just wonder who she is." Blaze said.
For some reason, her mind told her to turn around to see who it was she was talking to but she feared losing any little word the teachers would say if she turned around now.

Clarice choked back her laughter as the girl, whom she recognized as Blaze from Slytherin from her voice, didn't bother to turn around and see who it was that came up behind her. It was quite entertaining and she decided to see how long she could keep it up.
"She is really pretty, isn't she. And she's the new Slytherin head? She really doesn't seem to be old enough" She said with a smile on her face.
Clarice stood behind the girl in a spying position. Trying to act as if she too was trying to hear what the professors were saying. Knowing Keith, it wasn't much. That man was seriously shy sometimes. Clarice was surprised he even came up to congratulate her on getting the position.
Normally Clarice wouldn't do something like this, normally she would just yell and leave it at that. Since school hadn't technically started, however, she was still in high spirits and decided to mess around with Blaze a little. After all, she wasn't doing any harm in spying. They weren't talking about anything too serious.

For some reason, Blaze thought that the voice that kept talking back sounded a bit familiar. But she shock it off knowing that Keith Blackwood has yet to answer back her Head of House's greeting.
"Yes, awefully young of her. However, Headmistress always knpws what she's doing. Ms. Theoreux must be exceptional for her to gain the Slytherin Headof House in her first year if teaching." Blaze said.
She recalled the other girls in her common room talk about the new Head. Ms.Minna was said to come from a rich family. But for some reason, she left them. Her reasons were unknown. And That was what Blaze wanted to know. Why did she leave her family?

Unfortunately for Keith the new Professor happened to be one who had pleasantries, only with Keith's luck would that happen.
Turning around ever so slowly Keith didn’t even bother to smile, he had done his job already, the new Professor had been welcomed and he wasn’t going to be someone stable in the other Professor’s life, he would just be a passing stranger. Nevertheless, Keith forced out a few pleasantries, after all the other Professor could rat him out to the Headmistress and he could lose his job, something which Keith refused to let go of, after all who would keep an eye out on Ella and Nadia? (Nadia could barely take care of herself, let alone take care of Ella; at least that was what Keith thought.)
Realizing he seemed quite rude because he was taking so long to respond Keith sighed internally, it’d be so much easier if the other Professor was just another…grump, or at least someone like Professor Binns who just droned on and never really listened to anybody else. Keith was terrible with conversations with new people, his sister, Nadia and anyone else he knew quite well however was a different story. Keith faced up to the fact that eventually he would have to meet and greet quite often, he didn’t have to enjoy it though.
“Yes, yes I am, I’m Professor Keith Blackwood, Head of Hufflepuff and I teach Muggle Studies, I suppose you’re the new Slytherin Professor then?”
Surveying her up and down Keith immediately decided that he liked the old Slytherin Professor much more, it was just a personal preference and Keith had known his old colleague the old Head of Slytherin since he had been a wee first year at Hogwarts.

Minna knew from the tone of his voice that he didn't want to be there nor does he want to talk to her at all. She was good in reading people, one of her little talents. And she decided to cut him of his misery.
"You don't have to pretend to like being here nor pretending to be nice to me since I'm new. I can tell from the tone of your voice down to the way you just looked at me. Thank you for the greeting and sorry if the Headmistress had to impose this one you. Knowing only her can make other people come here to just welcome me." Minna's voice was straight and cold.
Minna had already noticed two people hiding behind the pillar but paid them no mind. She looked at Keith straight into his eyes, "I assure you, Mr. Blackwood, you won't be bothered by me again. My apologies for wasting your time." she said then turned her back, about to head back into her classroom.

Clarice watched in shock at what had just happened. She knew Keith was really shy, but it wasn't like him to act harshly. She didn't think he was really that mean, but she didn't see his facial expressions either. Clarice felt bad for the new professor, but her mind was focused on getting Blaze out of there now. She turned on her stern voice.
"I think you need to leave now, and be grateful I don't deduct points from Slytherin already. Next time, don't spy. Run along now," She told her, hoping she would finally realize who was standing behind her.
Even though she told Blaze to turn away, she was mesmerized by the scene that just happened, and she didn't want to make the new professor uncomfortable here already. She would go to her once Blaze and Keith were taken care of and gone. Yes, that's what she would do.

Blaze's eyes winden in shock. The new Headof Slytherin was just down right cold and cruel. She felt a little badfor Professor Blackwood. But from the way he talked to her, he kind of deserved what he got.
she turned around and gulped at the sight of Professor Adkins. She laughed nervously as she quickly left the fifth floor and making her way to the dungeons. She was lucky that Professor Adkins' didn't deduct points. Blaze took a mental note to know her new Head of House as soon as she could.

Most people would blow up at what Minna said but Keith preferred to keep his temper cool, he hated arguments with a passion, but he wasn’t one to pass one up with his sister though, sibling rivalry never did change over the years.
Calmly Keith rooted himself to where he was, he wasn’t going to back down from something simply because the new Professor decided to skip the pleasantries and make an enemy out of him, Keith Blackwood was known for being reclusive and not really out there but he could if need be, and this seemed like a “need be” time.
“You’ll find that perhaps I detest smiling, and instead I welcomed you simply out of my own choice, what automatically makes you think that I was forced to do this? I see you already have a mostly bad impression on Hogwarts already; I think leaving is right up your alley.”
During his retort Keith kept his temper as cool as he could, but it was hard, he could already sense that an immense disliking would emit from his personal and considering Minna looked rather young Keith felt extreme disapproval that someone so full of life could just become a Professor like that. In Keith’s opinion whenever you settled down to be any sort of teacher you had to be past twenty-five and had a good solid reason for it, his was Ella.

Minna sighed. She turned to look back at him.
"The reason I can tell you were forced to come here is because I could clearly see from your facial expression and body language how you did not want to be here at all. Please do not take it in a rude manner but I hoped that you could have simply told me that the Headmistress instructed you to greet me for some unknown reason. I would have understood that and left it at that. But you eyed me from head to foot and I for one do NOT like to be looked that way." She told him in a straight voice.
She did not meant to be rude nor disrespectful But she never got over the 'head-to-foot' stares from people she barely knew. She would always remember her father and how he would look at her that way, thinking and wishing that he didn't have a daughter at all.
"My deepest and most sincerest apologies if my earlier response came out as a rude remark. Rest assure that I did not, under any circumstance, mean it that way, Professor Blackwood." she told him.
