Just Outside the Snake Leader's Room [CLOSED]

Blaze had told Alex about what Professor Minna had done. “I still can’t believe she chose him over me. Imagine? A lion over a snake? A member of her own house against some other house. Argh!” she complained to Alex. She also had told Alex that it was the stupid lion she was chosen over with.

“I really can’t believe that Ms. Willhellminna Theoreux had chosen a lion over a snake without hesitation.” She added with extreme annoyance. How did that lion get to the snake’s head before she could? And why was she all warm and nice to him despite her being cold and cruel to Professor Blackwood?

This greatly confused her. And they were a few feet away from the Ancient Runes classroom. Alex took it because Blaze asked her too. It was a favor from Blaze that Alex said yes too. And she knew that Alex would be asking for a favor in return soon enough.

“Well, as long as you do not do anything that will ruin my plan of revenge, by all means, have a go at the lion. Though it is quite alarming and strange that your own head of house would choose someone else instead of you… Well, choosing who to side with and make them help her and all… Strange one, this Professor Theoreux. I wonder what she is like in class…” Alex trailed off.

She was sure that the lion in question was in the same class they were in. and she already had a few lovely lines in check to tell him when and if she sees him. Blaze was being a bitch yet again and was bested by a Gryffindor in front of her head of house. That much have been a low blow for Blaze. Alex could only just comfort her and listen to her ranting.

Blaze glared at Alex. Her cousin was rubbing her failure at her face. And Alex was interested in knowing the confusing Professor. “Well, you’ll meet her soon enough. But I am telling you, the first time I say her, she was as cold as ice and cruel to Professor Blackwood who was there, Merlin’s know why. Everyone knows that he wouldn’t be the first to come and greet the new staff with a big smile on his face. It just wasn’t him.

Blaze stopped just outside the classroom and could hear voice’s fr4om the inside. She couldn’t resist to take a peak. She saw the Governor which made her gasp. What did he want from Professor Minna? Maybe he was going to scold her because of what she said to Professor Blackwood. One of many questions that popped into her mind.

She was hoping he would speak again. And she was really going to try and listen in as much as she possibly could. It would comfort her a little if the Slytherin was going to be scolded at for some reason. Blaze smirked a little, not caring if Alex would begin to ask why she was suddenly happy.

Chris walked towards his next class of the day: Ancient Runes. He wasn't quite sure who all was in the class, but he had a bad feeling that Alex and/or Blaze were in the class. The former he would have been okay with but the latter hated his guts. He seriously wondered how long it would take before she tried something.

As he neared the classroom he hear a couple of familiar voices. Just my luck. Not one but both of them are in this class. Ugh! This will be interesting to say the least. He got as close as he could without being seen by either of them. He knew that he would have to talk to them eventually but the longer he could put it off, the better.

He saw the look on Blaze's face and just felt that they had been talking about him. The smirk that currently was on her face meant that someone, whether him or someone else, was in for it.

Alex turned to see Chris looking at them. Her smirk turned into a loving smile instantly. "Chrissy!" Alex called out as she ran to where he was standing. She gave him a quick hug and looked at him again, still smiling.

"Do you have Ancient Rhunes as well? I hope you do. I have it too, you see. And Blaze has it too. (leans in to whisper) She got the class just because she wanted to get close to her Head of House after she got dismissed by Professor Minna and chose you to help her instead." she said as she eyed her cousin who was plotting something in her mind.

"It was the most funniest thing I have ever heard. I couldn't stop laughing. But then she threatened to cast a Stinging hex on me if I didn't stop so I did." Alex sighed and then smiled back again.

Blaze turned to see Sutton standing a few feet away from them. Then she lost her smirk and let out a low hiss. "Awww.. Isn't that sweet. You took Ancient Rhunes for Alex... Or is it because Professor Minna teaches this class and you would want to make a jump on her too." Blaze said with a sneer before turning to her cousin.

"Didn't you know Alex? That your dear loyal Gryffindork was hitting on my head of house... Just after you I dragged you away and he went claiming the first woman he meets." Blaze said with an evil smirk. She made emphasis on the word 'loyal' seeing as it was supposed to be their best characteristic. Though she knew that a little bit of it was a lie, she was sure Alex was going to side with her.

"Chrissy?!" Chris thought as Alex ran towards him. "Why does she insist on calling me Chrissy? And did she just hug me? Alright...just go with it I guess."

Chris turned towards Blaze as she started speaking. He couldn't believe the lies she was saying about him. One, he would not do something stupid to jeopardize his relationship with Alex, or what he hoped would be a relationship. Two, he would NEVER hit on a teacher. Why would he?

He looked at Alex to see if she was buying any of the lies that came out of Blaze's mouth. "I better say something before she gets the wrong impression."

"Alex, I swear she's lying to you. I did not hit on the Professor. She looked like she was having trouble finding something so I just helped her. Your cousin here is just pissed because the Professor asked me to help her and not Blaze. Please believe me Alex."

Alex knew about it of course. She and Blaze had planned the whole scene already. She smiled at Chris, "Blaze has tendencies to stretch the whole incident and make others look like their on the wrong side. Don't worry, I believe you." she said.

Alex turned to Blaze, "Blaze please. This grudge of yours will not get us all anywhere. If Chris says he just helped Professor Minna, then I believe him. And if she chose him over you must mean you made a wrong impression on her. I told you before, careful of how you act around teachers. Being a Slytherin can be a double edge sword as well. Like what happened to you." Alex added.

She wanted to smirk and all when Blaze's acting was about to come up. They had practised the scenes before and this one was not going to be an exception.

Blaze huffed and turned to faced her cousin. "Well, if you believe him better than me,don't come running to me when he does something against you again. I will not make you forget it and you know I mean it." Blaze began.

She then turned to Chris, sneering and glaring at him. "This is far from over, lion. You may have convinced Alex but not me. And I will prove that you have ill intentions towards her because you hate me. And if you are indeed using her to get back at me, I will fight back and I assure you, you won't live 'til the end in one piece." Blaze threatened him before she went inside the classroom,leaving her cousin and the lion alone in the hallway.

Alex just chuckled as she saw her cousin being a good actress. They really were evil beyond measure. She often wondered what would have happened if the Dark Lord was raising in their time. Would they have turned into Death Eaters and be the perfect spies? Or will they be nuetral?

Alex turned back to Chris, "You really should stop making her mad. She will hurt you, you know. And I might not be there to protect you from her." She said with a shy smirk, indicating that she was going to be the one doing the protecting.

"Did you really take Ancient Rhune because of me? Or because Professor Minna is teaching it?... Sorry, I just had to ask." Alex asked softly and sounded perfectly apologetic. She was better than Blaze when it came to acting and Blaze acknowledged it too.

"I'm glad you believe me because it is the truth. I would never do that to anyone. Your cousin is just trying to cause a rift between us and it looks like it's working. Do you honestly believe that I would go out of my way to upset Blaze. I may not like her, but I'm not stupid enough to purposely do something to upset her.

"As for her trying to prove I have ill intentions, she'll have a hell of a time doing that. There is nothing to find because I don't have any ill intentions."

He looked her in the eye as he said the rest. "I don't need you to protect me. I am more than capable of taking care of myself." He walked into the classroom, having said all he thought needed saying.

Alex merely chuckled as Chris tried to pull off the 'I'm-a-man-and-I-can-take-care-of-myself' move. However she frowned a little when he went to enter the classroom, leaving her alone to stand outside.

"The nerve of that idiosyncratic lion! However I will let this slide since I will be destroying him anyway..." Alex thought to herself as she went into the classroom, following Blaze and Chris inside. The day was starting out great already. She smirked as she went in.
