James allowed Ciel to panic a bit and let his emotions out before answering him.
"If Rin gets lost my Patronus will lead the way. And if she's in danger the Patronus will get help." James replied calmly though he was starting to worry as well "She'll be fine. Right you have that empathy link with her? If you just calm down you can feel her presence and emotions from very far away."
James led the way to the alley with ease. In fact, he was barely paying attention to where he was stepping, he just went where his legs took him. When the got to the alley James took out his wand and quickly tapped the 3 bricks up from the trash can then 2 bricks to the side.
"Evening Tom." James greeted the inn keeper with a smile "Could you make some beef stew and whatever the two kids want? I'll have some stew as well. Please put it on my tab. Thanks! Well then, tell old man Tom what you want and he'll make it. You must be tired and hungry from that adventure. Don't worry about the cost it'll be on me."

Ciel got the message from Rin, but he disregarded it. She knew James was taking him home, whether she wanted to go with them or not was her decision. He wouldn't go to the room, but he would more than likely go to the pub, and last time he checked, it was a free pub and anyone could go there.
He heard James tell him if he calmed down he could sense Rin, and he knew it was true. He had done it before. He took a deep breath as they were walking and connected to Rin, he felt that she was safely in their room and had even calmed down a bit.
"She's back, safe and sound." Ciel told James in a quiet voice as he tapped the right bricks to enter the Leaky Cauldron.
James went up to the counter and told Tom that he wanted some beef stew. He told Ciel to order anything he wanted. Ciel thought about what Rin would want, because he was sure she would be hungry as well.
"Uh. Do you have like a hamburger or something? If so two of those. With fries and butterbeer please." Ciel and Rin had come across butterbeer during their first day in the Leaky Cauldron. They had grown to love it. It wasn't something they had ever tasted before in the muggle world.
"You know, you don't have to pay for our food. We have plenty of money for food until we go to Hogwarts. Our parents gave us a lot." Ciel hated feeling like James was giving them handouts. He was sure teachers weren't supposed to do that.
"Rin, come down and eat. James is nice, I promise. There is a bar full of wizards. He can't do anything bad here...." Ciel hoped she would listen and come down, but worse comes worst he would take her food up to her. Although it didn't feel right if he had to do that. If James was paying the least she could do was endure a dinner with him.

Rin had been upstairs in the room. The stupid patronus had stayed by her side the entire time. She was pissed off for leading that patronus upstairs but it was obvious that He or she wanted to protect Rin from whatever might come her way. It seemed to search the room for whatever could hurt her. Finding nothing, the thing turned his head towards her and sort of jumped onto her bed. Staring at her. She starred back at it. She had no clue what the thing was thinking. "What do you want!?" She asked it, half expecting an answer from it.
Her brother was thinking to her again. Telling her to come down to eat, that James was nice. That there were other wizards. She grimaced as she thought about going downstairs. The stupid Patronus still sat on her bed. It was creeping her out a bit. This stupid thing won't leave, its staring at me!" She hissed back towards her brother.
Rin knew that her brother wanted her to trust him. She however did not even want to think about trusting everyone. Especially someone she had just met and was already trying to barge into there life. She got up from the bed and then got on her slippers. She knew she needed to attempt to play nice for her brother's sake. At least he would not know what room they were in.
She opened the door, and held onto her wand. Though what good was it for her if she did not know any spells. Other then it looked like a stick. She walked down the stairs, the patronus was attached. She looked at James and then Ciel. "Tell him to take this stupid thing away, its harassing me." She thought to her brother. She went over to the table and sat down. A bit annoyed.

James smiled as his tiger Patronus rushed at him and nuzzled his leg. He scratched its chin in reply and stroked it a few times before it dissolved away, its loud, happy purr echoing throughout the room.
"Thanks Tom." James thanked the innkeeper who gave him a cigar and a glass of milk "I won't need the cigar right now but can you put this and another one in my room? Thank you old man!"
James took a sip of his milk and felt old memories flood his mind. And they weren't the pleasant ones either. His eyes grew more weary and dull as James remembered that horrid time when he made so many horrible mistakes. James usually looked much, much older when his eyes were sad. It was strange how body language or the look in one's eyes affected your physical appearance.

Ceil wanted nothing more than to just have a nice dinner with Rin and James. Some kind of change from having to deal with Rin all the time. Don't get him wrong. He loved his sister more than anything else in the world. More than his foster parents. She was his other half.
Ceil rolled his eyes at the message his sister sent him. He knew she wouldn't like the ghost tiger to be sent after her. But Ceil wanted that Tiger there. To make sure Rin got there safe. Now that he knew she was, he was about to ask James to take it away when he did it anyways.
Tom came over and offered James a Cigar. But he didn't take it. He said something about putting it in his room... Wait.
"Your room? What do you mean? Are you staying here as well?"
Ceil was afraid of the answer. It would make Rin mad if he was staying here as well. But Ceil thought it was cool if he stayed. Ceil could ask all the questions he wanted to about magic. It would be cool. He just knew Rin wouldn't think the same thing.

She narrowed her eyes at the man who offered smokes to the professor. She did not think that it was a good idea to smoke anything. She was about to hiss at her brother when she was stopped by his question.
Was this man really staying there? If he was there was a chance that he would see what room she was staying in. She did not like that feeling and she did not want it. She hissed at Ceil now. "Stop asking him questions, and do not talk to him." She wanted her brother to shut up.
She sat at the table though. Her eyes glued on the man she had hatred for. She did not know this man, Ceil was getting to close. Her breathing increased a little bit more. She was scared, honestly she did not feel right about him being near her and her brother at all.

""Hm?" James snapped back into the present "Yeah. I'm staying here for a bit. Just until you 2 have gone to Hogwarts then I'm going back home to America for the holidays. Hopefully I'll get there before or on the 17th..."
James couldn't help but sigh sadly and go back to remembering the past. He wished he could just spit out the truth to them right then and there but James knew that it would only bring them harm.
"So, what do you think of going to Hogwarts and having magic?" James asked, trying to start a conversation and avoid the past "Excited, scared? Maybe even both? I was really excited to leave home when I got my letter but sad that I had to leave the dogs. Oh, my dad is a foster father to dogs from pounds. If any dogs are about to be put down or they need to get used to human contact or anything like that, they went to him."

Ceil sighed a deep breath. His sister was really getting on his nerves. If James would have wanted to hurt them, he would have done it already. Instead he was being nice, he was nothing to worry about. Ceil truly thought that, or he wouldn't be sitting down with him having dinner and wouldn't be asking questions and talking to him. He would be running away and getting someone to help.
"Stop freaking! James it fine!"
He sent the pleading message to Rin, but he didn't think she would listen to him. After all, he knew Rin did what she wanted and nothing more nothing less.
"You don't have to stay on our account. We're perfectly fine staying here by ourselves. You can go home to your family, they're more important." Ceil hated when people had to give things up for them. Especially people they just met. Ceil understood that he was doing it to keep them safe until they got to go to Hogwarts, but he shouldn't need to.
"I love dogs. They're so friendly. Well, most are." Ceil laughed lamely and shook his head. His natural smile being replaced on his lips.

Rin grimaced a bit as she snapped towards her brother with her eyes. She really was annoyed. Why was he so trusting of a random stranger they just met. Would he really not hurt them? Why was he staying in the same place with them. Why was he going to america on the seventeenth. What was so special about that day. Other then that was the day they were born. "Why do you care if and when we arrive at Hogwarts." What difference did it make.
"It's fine, I don't think what we think about magic should matter at all to you." She snapped rather rudely at James. It was appearing that she wanted nothing to do with him at all. She just wanted to drive that point home.
"You don't know that, you really don't, and don't keep trying to convince me. I will make my judgement on my own time!" She snapped back towards him once more.
Her brother was just to trusting and because of that. She had to be the one who took the longest to get to know someone. She did however munch on her food a little bit.
