history; iIsobel's parents met when Anita starred in a film of Chris' at the tender age of eighteen. While working together, a romance blossomed, and less than eight months later Anita fell pregnant - fortunately once the film was a wrap! Despite being young, Anita was very confident that she'd found her true love in Chris and they were married a couple of months before Isobel was born. Anita worked in the odd film off and on while Isobel was growing up, and Chris was away at least eight months of the year filming, so Isobel spent much of her time with her paternal grandparents. She loved them and they her very much, so this hasn't adversely affected her in any way. She maintains a strong and loving relationship with them to this day, and feels much more comfortable bringing problems to her grandmother rather than her mother.
Growing up, Isobel was often whipped off with her parents to be shown off for cameras or, when they had the time, on set. Isobel loved this - she was the darling of all the cast and crew and got fed cake to her heart's delight - and still likes to hang around her father's film sets during the school holidays (these days it's more for the fit famous actors than the cake, but shhh!). Although Isobel always had a very volatile relationship with her mother, she got on terrifically well with her father when he was around because they have incredibly similar personalities. Isobel fights often with her mother, who secretly resents her daughter a little for distracting Chris' attention from her, and the two tend to ignore each other most of the time.
Growing up with two parents in the film industry, Isobel surprisingly showed no interest in acting ever. She was much more interested in what went on behind the camera, and at the moment is toying with the idea of taking up writing or producing - even directing. Her father is dead pleased about this and does everything he can to get her to hang out with him when he's on set so she can get the hang of it.
When Isobel was eleven, she received her Hogwarts letter and the whole family freaked out. It transpired, however, that her maternal grandfather had been a wizard, although he'd kept the secret from the whole family because he'd wanted to get away from the wizarding world. With the knowledge that she wasn't the only "freak" in the family and her father's loving support, Isobel was duly packed off to Hogwarts with all the supplies she could possibly hope for. Going from being an only child in a huge house to being at the centre of Hogwarts was incredibly difficult for her at first, but her personality soon helped her to fit in and then stand out - and of course the other muggle-borns knew her father, which was always a bonus.
Isobel settled happily into Gryffindor and soon made a name for herself as witty, dramatic, and always at the centre of attention. She did perfectly okay in class - never brilliantly, but well enough - and got along well with most people in her year. She grew to love being at Hogwarts and knows how lucky she is, but she still misses her big house and her dad and all the time she got to spend with him. She makes up for this by spending practically all her holidays at his workplace, wherever that might be.
Shortly after Isobel left for Hogwarts, she received a letter from her mother informing her that she was to be a big sister. This was something Isobel was not especially impressed with, but when George arrived during the summer holidays between Isobel's first and second year she was pleasantly surprised by how cute he was and soon became very protective over him. She was also glad that her mother had something to fuss over and thus be distracted from Isobel's faults. Isobel was even more delighted when Jake arrived two years later, and although she is a very bossy big sister, she also is terribly loving and likes nothing more than to be tucked up in bed with her two brothers reading them a bedtime story.
At the moment Isobel is very happy with where her life is - she's an average student, a popular girl, and her future is wide open for whatever she decides to do with it.
all that matters is the present ,
personality;
Isobel is not a terribly complex person. She's basically totally content with her life and adapts quickly to new situations, so settles in well wherever she is. She is a bright girl but rarely applies her intellect to lessons, only to win arguments and annoy people she dislikes. She tends towards the judgemental and impatient which often puts other people's backs up but she's so funny she gets away with a lot that she probably shouldn't. She is talkative and a good person to be stuck in a dull lesson next to since she'll amuse you greatly, but this chatter does hide her reluctance to open up about her proper feelings. She rarely, if ever, tells anybody what's she really feeling and is likely to brush any questions off with a joke or a change of subject. She feels very self-conscious when talking about how she's feeling - odd, because in every other way she is the least self-conscious person imaginable - and is much more likely to be found drinking coffee alone in a corner than nose to nose with a friend dissecting her emotions.
She is used to being the centre of attention and definitely good at attracting attention - yes, okay, she's a little spoilt and definitely seflish, but she is charming and polite and although she whines something chronic she's also hilarious and great at putting people at ease. She gets on well with anybody if she puts her mind to it, and often finds it easier to talk to adults than teens her own age because she's clever and likes to read and watch complicated films, so she can hold very mature, intelligent conversations. Despite that side of her, she's like any other teenage girl in that she obsesses over Muggle TV shows and hot actors and can quote every single line of Madagascar word-for-word because it is her favourite film ever. And because she can, she regularly does.

Todd was in a fantastic mood as he walked up one of the snow-covered streets leading to the town square. Granted, it was absolutely freezing, but the sun was shining and there had been a fresh fall of snow overnight. All-in-all, it was a nice day. Todd was humming absently and tunelessly under his breath as he walked along, unable to resist aiming the odd kicks at piles of snow, still ridiculously excited by snow even though he'd had twenty years to get used to the stuff. He had his hands shoved deep into his pockets to try to keep them out of the cold, and his chin was sunk into his scarf to try to keep his face a bit warmer.
Finally breaking out of the shadows of the narrow street and into the bright square, Todd had to blink a few times to get his eyes used to the sudden glare as the sunlight bounced off the snow. He could see a few people wandering around the square, but he didn't think any of them were his friends - nobody was getting shouted at, for example, so that meant certainly at least three of his friends weren't here. Todd hesitated at the edge of the square for a moment before deciding, what the heck, and plunging right on in. He trampled merrily through the snow towards a shop at the side of the square that sold fresh-baked crepes, and bought one loaded up with Nutella. He was forced to wait while it cooked, and was soon fidgeting, far too easily bored. Finally, though, it was done, and he paid the shopkeeper and took a searing bite. It was too good to wait any longer, so he pretty much inhaled it, regardless of the heat.
He felt much better with something hot inside him, and it was in a better mood than ever that he headed towards the centre of the square, licking chocolate off his fingers. He was hoping he'd spot somebody he knew or somebody who was fun to wind up, since he didn't fancy spending such a nice day all by himself. Maybe he'd even get lucky and find someone who'd be up for a snowball fight... although, the other person didn't necessarily have to be keen on snowballs for Todd to have some fun...
Grinning broadly to himself, he bent to scoop up some snow, spent some time patting it into a perfect ball shape, and then, tossing it from hand to hand to keep it from freezing his skin, he took aim at a person standing with their back to him, presenting a great target, and with all his might flung it right at the small of their back before diving sideways behind a bush to conceal himself when they turned to see who'd thrown the snowball.
