Sufficiently irritated Keith tapped his foot impatiently as Nadia gaped at all the animals in display at the Menagerie, it was a bit ridiculous to Keith that considering Nadia already had two pets not including her owl that she wanted another one. And a snake at that, there was a reason there was a "highly dangerous, not recommended" sign on the cages.

But Nadia apparently took no notice of this and with great reluctance did Keith finally snap, there was only so much one could take of someone fawning over snakes, normal people did that over puffskeins. But no, Nadia McLaggen was certainly not normal with her tastes.

"Nadia, this is getting ridiculous, you have ten seconds to get away from that cage before I apparate you straight back to your father's, and I don't think he'd appreciate you taking such an interest in snakes of all things for pets, not to mention you already have quite a number of them already." Keith took a brief moment to stop and step back as a snake hissed at him, Keith had never liked snakes, even as a fully grown adult he still found them to be quite frightening. Even if he wouldn't admit it.

"Why can't you choose a puffskein or a...or a...Pygmy Puff for once?"

After one last "aww" over a snake Nadia turned to Keith and put her hands on her hips, she asked him to be her escort to Diagon Alley under the impression that he would just keep quiet by sheer intimidation at the amount of people in Diagon Alley, unfortunately she did not expect the complaints that would come from Keith, if she had known what would happen Nadia would've just gotten someone to go under Polyjuice as Keith instead, nevermind the rules.

"I don't think he'd like to know that you gave me permission to peruse Diagon Alley during school either Uncle Keith." Satisfied with her response Nadia turned to once more fawn over some more snakes but was interrupted by what Keith said next.

"Because those are boring, I mean you don't see Puffskeins or Pygmy Puffs scaring the living daylights out of your brother," After a bit of consideration Nadia decided to add something else; "but I might as well let you know now why I want a snake, they're not for me, goodness knows my Dad would put up such an argument over having a snake in the house, they're for a friend."
