Wishing and Waiting [LILY]

[/i] Tommy knew he would definitely show up.

"Must... keep... going..." Tommy panted, running up the stairs but stopping halfway, unable to run any further. Tommy sat down. He wouldn't be okay here; no-one would find him skipping class and put him in detention for about the five hundreth time since he'd started at Hogwarts. Tommy knew that it was bad that he kept skipping the majoraty of his classes just because he didn't like him. But no-one was going out of his way to stop him because no-one really cared for him that much. Tommy was used to being left to his own devices.[/color][/ul]

[Lily Potter]

Lily was running late for her Defense against the Dark Arts class. She couldn't believe that she had sat down in the common room and fell asleep while reading her book. Let along she couldn't believe that no one had decided to wake her up when they all scrambled out. Then again, Lily didn't have any friends that would.

Pushing her mind from that thought as she began to decline the stairs of the tower and rush to her class. She had checked her watch for a second, not paying attention to where she was going at all and screamed when she tripped over something. Or, Someone she should say. She screamed the entire way down the stairs, which she was now rolling down. When she finally made it to the bottom of them, her body came to a halting stop. Pain was rushing up and down her entire body. that wasn't exactly a small fall.

She didn't move. She wasn't sure if she didn't because she couldn't, or because she was in too much pain to want to at the moment. But she didn't move. A small tear came rolling out of one of her eyes from the pain. She hoped she didn't hurt anything major...

[/i] he thought to himself. Horrified, he stared as the girl continued falling all the way to the bottom of the staircase, screaming all of the way down. Tommy got to his feet when he had reached the bottom.

Still a little shocked from the strange arrival of this girl, who he could see by her robes was also a Gryffindor, Tommy got to his feet a ran down the stairs and stood over the girl, curiously peering down at her. "Um... Are you okay? That looked kind of painful. Well, I say kind of but I really mean very painful. Do you need to matron or someone or will you be okay? It's lesson time now, isn't it? I know it is, that's why I was up here. I'm skipping class again. But you can't tell anyone or I'll get in massive trouble 'cause this is probably the millionth time this year that I have."

Tommy finally stopped talking and smiled widely at the girl, holding out his hand to help her up.[/color][/ul]

[Lily Potter]

Lily heard whoever it was that she tripped over coming down the stairs. She couldn't believe she bloody fell down the stairs! Feeling her head pounding immensely she brought her head to her skull. Half feeling to make sure there wasn't any damage and half making sure she still had control of her limbs.

She couldn't really follow all of what the kid said, she called him a kid because he clearly was a first year. And even though she was only a third year, he was still a kid. "Yes it's class time. I have to get to class. I can't miss it, and I'm already late. I'll be fine. Just in pain." Lily saw that he had put a hand out to help her up. She ignored the shy side of her telling her to ignore it and grabbed it. She really was in a hurry.

Attempting to pull herself up with his hand, she felt a spasm of pain rush through her. Quickly letting go, but not on purpose, she fell bad on the ground.

"This is going to be harder than I thought"

Lily was freaking. Social contact and being late for her class. This couldn't end well for Lily. She wanted her dad. She wanted him to be there so he could carry her to her class. So he could hug her tight and never let go. To make sure she was okay, and not hurt. She didn't want this little first year.

"It's... I have.... I have to get to the Defense Against the Dark Arts room. Professor McKinney is going to be mad if I'm late. It's probably just a little bruise of two somewhere. Not important." Lily said it, but she still didn't move. She was too afraid she couldn't move.

"I can never forget about class! I can't just skip like you." Lily said it probably a bit harsh, but that was just her fiery temper showing again. It happened quite a bit when she talked to people. When she wasn't extremely shy of course.

Using all of her strength, she sat up slowly. Putting her hand on her head because she was extremely dizzy. "What were you doing just sitting on the stairs anyways?" She said it while her eyes were closed, but she would have been glaring if they weren't.

Lily couldn't believe she was going to say this, but she didn't have another choice as of this moment. "Yeah. you're right. I'll just forget about classes. But if anyone asked, I fell down the stairs and couldn't go!" Lily couldn't even begin to imagine getting in trouble for this.

Lily decided to ignore his rant about how skipping was fun. Never in a million years would she actually consider skipping class on purpose. it just wasn't in he personality. She was too much of a goodie-goodie to skip fully.

Lily heard him introduce himself. She hated introducing herself to people. Hated telling people her name because of what it meant. Was this kid a muggleborn? Would he not know that her name was famous? There was always a possibility, but she would have to tell him her name no matter what.

"I'm Lily. Lily Potter."

[/i] after all, even if Brent wasn't too happy about it. Tommy had assumed he would be though... That they'd be a proper family. Things just hadn't worked out that way but Tommy knew not to blame his big brother for that.

"Okay. I'll make sure to tell Proffie M that next time I see him too!" Tommy added. Company... Finally...

Lily Potter. Tommy was sure that the name rang a bell but he couldn't quite think of where he'd heard it before. Maybe from Lucy? Or some of the other students? "Cool. But I think you should try and get up now so you're ready if we hear anyone coming 'cause then we need to go and hide."[/color][/ul]

This kid was quite the little jokester. At least, that's what it seemed like to Lily. But she ignored all the jokes he made. All the comments he made. She was too shy to joke back. Too shy to really want to say anything but knowing she should say something to Tommy. It wasn't polite to just ignore him.

"Yeah. I guess I should probably get up now." It was all Lily said in reply. She was surprised he hadn't said anything about who she was. Who her father was. She was grateful for that. But she didn't know if it was because he didn't know, or if he was being polite. Either way worked for Lily, as long as she didn't get bombarded with questions about her father.

Closing her eyes tight and she mustered up all the energy she had left and lifted herself from the ground. Her entire body was aching. She looked at her arm, that she thought got the most impact of the fall as that was what she landed on first when she fell. She looked at it and saw that most of it was red, really red. And the parts that weren't red were covered in bruises. She would have to go see Madam Maryn later. But not now. It wasn't important right now, and she'd rather not be seen by anyone when she was supposed to be out of class.

Lily thought about going to Madam Maryns. But that would mean having to account for why they weren't in class. Then again, if she did go, then she could give her an excuse. They could easily say she fell on the way to class. That was the truth after all. Even if she was going to be a tad late.

"I... I guess I should go. But if anyone asks, I fell down the stairs on the way to class. Before class started, so I wouldn't have been late. Even if that's a lie. And you saw and stayed back to help. That should get us both out of any trouble."

Lily couldn't believe she was actually having this little first year, Tommy, go with her. But she didn't think she could make the trip by herself. She was in too much pain.

"Will you help me walk down there? I'm afraid to walk down stairs, and lucky for us, we live in the towers of Hogwarts." Lily rolled her eyes and let the sarcasm leek through.

[/i] it's really annoying." he said quickly. Yeah, Tommy had broken many bones in his time at Hogwarts and cut himself more times than he thought was possible.

"I know! It's just our luck!" Tommy let out a laugh, "Of course!"
With a friendly smile, Tommy held out his arm to Lily. "Here we go then... This could take a while. And hopefully someone won't bump into us on the way there but I guess if they do then we can just tell them your story and we should be alright. Maybe not if we meet a Slytherin though. 'Cause they're just plain evil."[/color][/ul]

Lily laughed at Tommy. He did seem rather, hyper. But it a good kind of way. He just seemed to have a lot of energy, even when he was just talking. It made Lily smile. He was like a stress reliever.

"Well. Good thing it's me hurt this time and not you, eh?" Lily smiled at Tommy again as he held out his arm, which she took hold of. She had a feeling it was going to be a painful trip down there.

"Slytherin's can be evil. That's why you learn some good spells to help you defend yourself. Or hurt them. But I didn't tell you that, ya know." Lily smiled again. She had never really used a spell on anyone. Maybe once or twice on her brothers. And of course all the accidental stuff she did to them and her parents when she was younger. But that wasn't a big deal. Lily was too shy to make friends, let alone enemies.
