Reid held him tight as he brought up his parents. He knew Alex didn't like talking about it just like Reid didn't like talking about his mother. It always seemed to bring Alex's mood. Reid wanted to bring it back up again. After all, they were enjoying a nice walk through the park, holding the one they lo-liked. "Come on, no more sad talk okay. We are suppose to be enjoying a night out together. Let's go cuddle up by the lake."
They walked over to the lake and found a dry spot next to a tree. Reid sat down and pulled Alex down between his legs. He sat there and held Alex, giving him the slight comfort he was sure his friend needed.

Cuddling up by the lake... Alex's mood perked up immediately. But he wasn't going to decline a free snug either. He curled his legs up and shifted around so that his shoulder was pressing against Reid's chest, letting Alex drape his arms lightly around Reid and nestle his head in the groove his neck and shoulders made. He stayed like that for a minute or so, making the most of Reid's warm and comforting arms that embraced him. "No more sad talk." Alex repeated in a small whisper. He turned his head just an inch so he could nuzzle Reid's neck and plant a light kiss there. "I could do this all day. I don't think I'd ever get bored." Alex admitted, shifting around on his seat to face Reid and wrap his legs loosely around his waist. He brought his hand up and toyed with his hair, running it playfully through his nimble fingers. "I always felt like I got on best with you..." Alex smiled, watching as he curled Reid's short, sable locks around his forefinger and thumb. "..but I can't help but wish this had happened sooner."

Reid loved the feeling of Alex in his arms. When he turned and snuggled into his chest, he felt his heart soar. He too never wanted this to end. He wanted to hold Alex like this all day, every day. "I could do this all day as well. I love this feeling of you in my arms. I never want it to end."
He tightened his hold when Alex shifted positions again. He liked this one better. "If I had known you felt the same, or could feel the same, I would have said something a long time ago. I just...I didn't want to screw up our friendship if it was one sided. You mean so much to me. I couldn't bare the thought of losing you. Even if that meant looking at you from afar the rest of my life."

Alex's face softened on hearing Reid talk. He knew how he felt. Alex had felt the same way. Maybe not straight away on knowing him, but his feelings for Reid had grown gradually throughout the years. There had been times Alex had thought to himself "fuck it" and went to say something... but he never had had it in him. Alex smiled gently at Reid and leaned forward, bringing both hands up to his cheeks and placing his chilled, pale palms on them. "At least now we don't have to worry about that." His voice was quiet, almost lost in the rustling of the leaves that whispered in the nightime breeze. "You're the sweetest darn man I've ever met, Ree." Alex said truthfully, his hands still on his cheeks, using them to guide his face closer towards his for a kiss that would hopefully prove his words. Alex would never be able to get enough of Reid. Who knew how long exactly they had been waiting for this. They had lots of time to make up for. "You'll never lose me." The spaniard murmured, his lips gently brushing Reid's whiskers as he spoke. "Ever."

Reid let out a sigh he didn't realize he was holding in. He was being stupid. He didn't have to worry so much because Alex felt the same way. He needed to loosen up and live in the moment. And in this moment was a wonderful man in his arms who he felt deeply about.
He smiled when Alex said he was sweet. He didn't try to be, it just came naturally. "You are amazing too Jay. I'm the luckiest man alive to be with you." He ran his hand through Alex's hair. It was so soft, he loved running his fingers through it. "I promise you, you will never lose me either. I will always be there for you, no matter what happens." He smiled and kissed Alex. It wasn't a passionate one like the rest. No this kiss showed the truth behind his words.

Alex's eyes briefly fluttered to a close when Reid glided his fingers through his hair. He never really said anything but he loved people playing with his locks, it was highly comforting. Alex often joked with himself that in a past life he had been a cat who just loved to snuggle up, be petted, sunbathe and clean his fur continuously. "I wonder what Chase and Brent'll have to say about us." Alexander mused out loud for Reid to hear, his lips moist from the tender kiss. "But I imagine that they won't mind... even be glad perhaps." He smiled, delicately running his fore finger along Reid's jawline, feeling the coarseness of his whiskers under his fingertip. Alex loved Reid's beard. There was no doubt about it. It gave him a certain, sexy edge that not all men could pull off. But Reid did it perfectly. "I'm looking forward to our date... it'll be great. I know it'll be."

Reid hoped that Chase and Brent wouldn't overreact whenever they found out. The two were dating so they should easily understand that Alex and Reid were. Dating. Wow, he knew it but it hadn't really registered yet. He was dating Alex, his Jay bird. The thought made him smile. "I don't see why they would have a problem with it."
He sat there, just enjoying the moment as Alex played with his beard. It was something Alex seemed to really love about him and he loved to just sit there and play with it. It was a tad on the odd side, but it was who Alex was. It just made him that much more unique. "I'm excited for our date too. Sadly I'm not sure I will be free this week. Things are crazy at work. How about next weekend? I think the guys want to meet up or something but we can still have a date."

Alex pouted, puffing out his cheeks just the slightest, and made a small whine noise. A whole week? That was much too long for their date. But then, they had waited so long already so what was just a week? "This week is going to go so slooow." Alex said in a whiny mumble, maintaining his pout. He looked up at Reid and Alex broke into a grin, throwing his arms around him suddenly. He tightened the grip he had on his friend with his arms and legs, pulling him into a close embrace as he rested his chin on his shoulder. "But it'll be worth the wait." Alex chuckled quietly. He knew it would definitely be worth the wait. Coming to think of it, Alex wasn't exactly sure if he had ever had a proper, actual date. At least Reid would be his first in that sense. "I'll be counting down the days impatiently." Alex pulled back but didn't shift his body. It felt good to be so close to Reid. He looked around for a moment, there were much less people now - it was getting quite late. No fair.

Reid found Alex's pout cute. Reid didn't want to wait a week but tonight was his only free night and he didn't want to make plans he couldn't commit to.
"Woah" he whispered when Alex tightened his hold. It wasn't that he didn't like being close to him, it was just unexpected. He knew that he too would be looking forward to the date. He loved spending time with Alex. "You won't be the only one counting down. I promise though, it will be worth the wait."
He kissed him, gosh he loved doing that, before saying the one thing that would sadden both of them. "As much as I want to say here and hold you forever, it's getting late. We should probably get you home. We both know it will take us a good ten minutes to actually say goodbye." He said with a smirk.

The corners of Alex's mouth twitched upwards into a smile on kissing Reid. He never wanted this night to end. It was definitely turning out to be one of the best. But of course it wasn't going to be able to last. Tomorrow night Alex was on a dreaded night shift. So when Reid mentioned that it was time to head home, Alex nodded sadly with a sigh. "Yeah, I guess we should get going." He mumbled, sliding away from Reid reluctantly, trying to force down a disappointed frown. "And just ten minutes?" Alex secretly couldn't wait until their relationship progressed enough for him to be able to invite Reid up without feeling guilty or bad. The temptation was still there though. He'd fight it for tonight. "If it were for me... I wouldn't say goodbye." Alex snickered, returning Reid's smirk as he scrambled up to his feet, dusting off his trouser legs and behind.

Reid didn't want to leave Alex but he knew that the night had to end sometime. "Ten minutes if I don't completely snog your brains out. And yes, I know that if it weren't for you I'd be going up to your flat tonight. But don't worry my little Jay bird, one day we won't be leaving each other after a date." He wouldn't push it but he could see their relationship working out. He loved Alex. They had been working towards this for years. It would work out, he knew it.
He stood up and dusted himself off. Once both he and Alex were clean he grabbed Alex's hand and walked towards the entrance to the park. They walked in a comfortable silence, just enjoying the last few minutes of being with each other.
They reached Alex's flat faster than either of them wanted to. He was sad to have the night end. He knew that he would be looking forward to the next time they got to spend together all week. "Well, here we are." he said, wrapping his arms around Alex. "I don't want this night to end. I had a great time tonight Jay. I can't believe I waited so long to tell you of my feelings. You made me that happiest man alive tonight. I don't think I could ever thank you enough." He looked into Alex's eyes, seeing the same happiness he was sure shown in his.

Alex was wishing he lived further away. Even if it was just five more minutes away, it'd do Alex fine - the brief walk back to his apartment had been too short for his liking. The thought of stalling for time by dawdling, window shopping or just generally distracting themselves had passed through his head. In the end he had decided against it and had just enjoyed the walk home, hand in hand with Reid. "Don't thank me." Alexander chided softly, wrapping his arms around Reid's shoulders and neck as he gazed into his dark yet warm eyes with his own deep amber ones. ""Because I'm feeling just like you." Happy, on top of the world, blown away by emotion and in slight disbelief. That was how Alex felt. The young man stretched to bring his face up to Reid's, closing in on the couple of inches that separated them. He met his friend's lips with his own, kissing him gently but with passion, not wanting it to end ever. Alex started to deepen the kiss, his lips grazing Reid's mouth with more earnest and his arms tightening their hold while a hand slipped into his hair. Reddened in the face, Alex pulled back, sucking in his bottom lip, refusing himself to get carried away tonight. "Buenas noches, Ree." He purred, resisting the want to ask him up for a coffee. "If you need to apparate, you can use my hallway. The elevator makes alot of noise so... no one'll notice." Alex slipped his hands from around Reid's neck slowly, letting his hands lazily trail his shoulders and upper arms before falling slack to his sides. From his pocket he fished out his keys while he walked backwards up to his front door. It was paining him terribly to leave Reid tonight. It was always hard to say goodbye but, tonight, it was so more than ever.

Reid didn't want the night to end, he didn't want Alex to leave him. He walked up to him and caught him again. "I don't want you to leave. I didn't even get to say good night." He tightened his hold around Alex's waist. He made sure that the Spaniard would have a harder time getting away from him this time. "Good night my Jay bird." He leaned down and gave Alex a deep kiss.
He didn't want it to end. It wasn't until the need for air was too great that he pulled back. "I'll walk you in. I promise I won't go into your apartment."

"Reid..." Alex breathed, his voice almost that of a soft moan between breaths. "You're being a tease." He whispered after another fervent kiss. Alex turned around to face his front door again, his hands, shaking from cold and from the jitters that he got around Reid, fumbled with the keys, making them jingle and rattle. He finally got the right one and slid it in, pushing the door to on his greased hinges. Alex walked in and wandered over to the elevator, punching the button in to call it. He turned to Reid, a hand on his hip, as he waiting for the groaning machine to arrive at the ground floor. "You better go now..." He muttered, cheeks pinkening. "If you're not gone by the time this lift gets here..." Alex trailed off, flushing even deeper. He knew that if Reid hadn't gone by the time it arrived, he would most probably cave and try to drag him along with him. It was hard enough having him enter the hallway knowing that he had to leave after.

As much as he wanted to see what Alex meant, he knew that it was not the time for that. He knew he had to leave or he would end up in Alex's bed tonight. Not that he didn't want that eventually...it was just too soon. "Alright, I'll leave before the elevator gets here. Before then though..." He pulled Alex into another deep, passionate kiss. It would be at least a week before they saw each other. He had to get enough kisses in to last him the week. He pulled back and stepped out of Alex's embrace. If he hadn't, well they would do a lot more tonight than they thought. "Good night my sweet Jay bird." With one last peck on the cheek he apparated out, not to see Alex again for a week.
