The crack of Reid's apparation echoed throughout the hallway, leaving Alex completely alone except for the groaning and rumbling of the elevator. He blew out a long sigh. A saddened one. Goodbye was probably one of the hardest words there were. But as much as he would of enjoyed Reid's company for a little while longer, Alex knew that it was for the best that he had left when he did. Alex stepped into the elevator, staring at his reflection in the mirrored panel. He looked tired, the flickering light overhead made him look drawn out and it exaggerated the dark circles under his eyes. But... he looked better than ever. Alex found himself smiling at his reflection and sorting out his hair, teasing it back into place under his fedora with his fingertips. As soon as he entered his flat and shut the door behind him, Alex hugged himself, giggling and showing no signs of stopping. The young man let his fedora fall forgotten to the floor as he bolted for his sofa, throwing himself onto it face down, still chuckling loopy. Him. And Reid. Were going to go on a date! Alex squirmed about on the couch, unable to keep his glee within him any longer. He just lay there, giggling away, letting his thoughts run away with him. His pet cat sat there, watching him judgingly. Tootie had never seen him this way before. Her owner was acting rather strange. Alex made a grab for her and curled up around her, hugging her close and he petted her, eyes closed. "Today was a good day, Toots." Alex whispered, smiling at the comforting sound of her purring. The young man stayed like that until he drifted off, not getting changed nor even taking off his shoes. He'd wake up a few hours later with cat hair stuck to his forehead but still with a silly, loved-up grin still on his face. This was going to be a long week.
