If Draco were to be entirely honest he would have preferred to spend his entire life at Malfoy Manor. It wasn't as if anyone would miss him outside, he couldn't get any paler and house elves were at his beck and call, it would be the perfect life.
Except, he'd have to stand his mentally deranged wife every single bloody day then. It wasn't that the Manor wasn't big enough, but his mother would force Draco and Astoria together as if it were the last thing she would ever do.
Draco had an uncomfortable feeling that his mother wanted yet another grandchild. For him, not only was three children enough, but Draco doubted that Astoria would let him come within a ten meter radius of him after the day before.
Caught up in his thoughts, which Malfoys absolutely did not do, Draco didn't realize he had been wandering into shops here and there, once he finally did Draco stopped slouching and held a rather regal position as he surveyed the store he had wandered into.
Flowers.
Highly detestable according to Draco.

Charlotte was just about to lock up the store when she saw someone had wandered in, a customer!
Immediately Charlotte put on her "customer" smile and bounded towards the new person, only to be taken aback when she realized who it was.
However that shock only registered for about a moment before Charlotte decided that a customer was a customer, no matter who they were.
Boosting herself up slightly by pushing on her toes Charlotte lightly tapped the newcomer, otherwise known as Draco Malfoy, on the shoulder.
"Hello sir!"

Draco was about to comment on the apparent lack of service when someone had the audacity to tap him on the shoulder! Draco spun around and shoved the best snarl he could onto his face before he remembered his mother's words, "kindness Draco, nobody forgets kindness, everyone has their own use, when the time fits they will repay you, remember this."
Reluctantly Draco's face morphed into an uncertain smile.
"Hello miss, my sincerest apologies but I seem to have never have met you before, as it happens even if we have your name escapes me, surely you know me, Draco Malfoy?"
Draco bit out the pleasantries in a tone much different from his words, but managed to force an even expression. Women. If it were a man Draco would've told him to bugger off then proceeded to insult his career choice, nevertheless, it was a woman and Draco had been raised to respect all women.

Charlotte smiled, she wasn't even sure if it was real or not, she just smiled oblivious to Draco's attempt at informal pleasantries.
"We went to school together, briefly, I was four years younger than you, my name is Charlotte Barnard, and yes I do your name but not you personally."
Instinctively Charlotte gripped her fists tightly, feeling the sudden pressure she looked down at her hands which were oddly clammy. Get a grip on yourself Charlotte, it's Draco Malfoy not Merlin, thought Charlotte fiercely.

Draco just lifted an eyebrow in response. Introductions were not his forte, most people took one look at him then went the other way or already knew him.
"You do my name?" Draco couldn't resist taking the mickey out of Charlotte's mistake, he was just that sort of person.
Scanning the shop once more Draco concluded that he could be in some place worse after all, he could have "wandered" into Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, or however you said the abominable store's name.
