Harry was in his chair, looking down of a pile of papers that seemed to have been on his desk for quite some time now. He was trying to finalize everything before he left for a long summer break. He promised his children that he'd take some time off to spend it with them at the new house.
Then the thought of his godson, Teddy came into mind. "I wonder if Teddy would like to spend the summer with us... Just like the old times..." Harry thought to himself.
Remus and Tonks left Teddy in Harry and Andromeda's care when he was young. And when Teddy grew up, Harry had been there like a father/older brother. He was part of his family.
So Harry pushed away the papers and looked at the door, hoping someone was outside his office. "Is anyone outside? Teddy? Are you there?" he called out. He was too tired to stand up or pull out his wand. Screaming see,ed to be easier at the moment.

Harry grinned back at Teddy. He loved Teddy like a brother/son. He was one of the people who raise him which Harry felt was a great achievement along with having his own family. He stood up and stretched. "A very well deserved vacation indeed, Teddy." he said as he chuckled.
"I was just thinking about this summer break we're given and was hoping to ask you if you would want to spend it with us at the new house in Hawaii. Ginny is going to drop by for a few days before their next tour. So it would be a great time to have everyone there. James, Albus, and Lily would love to have you there, I'm sure." he said.
It had been quite a long time since they all were together and just spend time doing anything they all could think. From little pick me up quidditch games at the Burrow to swimming by the beach at the new house.
"What do you say Ted?" Harry asked with a hopeful look in his face that Teddy would say yes.

Harry's heart sank as soon as his mind understood what his godson answered him. "You can always bring Andromeda too, you know. The house is big enough for everyone. Besides, you owe Andromeda a few visits." his mind told him. Harry then slowly smiled.
"Teddy, why don't you bring Andromeda as well? You guys can do the muggle way of going to Hawaii if she can't side apparate with you. I do owe Andromeda a couple of visits and chats. I'll even pay for everything." Harry told Teddy.
It wasn't because Harry wanted to spend time with Teddy, he was sure his children would love to see him as well. He just thought that they ought to spend family time together since they hadn't had much time to do so since he became the Head Auror and Teddy being one of his best field men.]
"What do you say Teddy? Doesn't it sound perfect? Besides, James and the others would be sad if they find out that you and Andromeda couldn't spend vacation with us because of something that can be easily solved." he gave him a happy grin.

Harry's smile grew wider as Teddy agreed that his idea was perfect. "No, Ted. Let me pay for this. It's the least I can do for Andromeda since I owe her a lot of visits and chats. Our work doesn't really give us much time to visit family and friends." Harry said.
He turned to look at his desk full of papers then sigh. If he was going to keep on working on them he was on the path to insanity. "Teddy, want to grab something to eat? It's been a while since we got to talk and spend time." Harry gave Teddy a warm smile. He meant it. It had been a while. A long while that is.
"Besides, if I stay another hour in this office and face a desk full of papers, I might ran out this office screaming at the top of my lungs." he joked and laughed.

and realised that he'd accidentally skipped lunch again; something he'd been doing often lately and not noticing until his stomach started rumbling way after his normal lunchtime. "I kind of forgot to eat lunch again." he chuckled, "So you've got a definite yes from me." Harry was right, it had been a long time. Way too long. Unfortunately Teddy had been letting work get in the way of spending time with his friends and family...[/ul]

Harry knew that Teddy wasn't happy about not paying for Andromeda's trip and all but it was important to Harry that they both be with them at Hawaii this summer. He just had a feeling that if Harry wasn't going to make a move, it might be too late to do anything when the bad time came. That was what Harry was afraid of now. No more room for second chances.
"So let's get out of here and grab a snack at Diagon Alley. Let's stop by the joke shop and see what George is doing now. I bet Angelina would love to see us as well." Harry smiled heartily at Teddy. Things between them had not been all good when Teddy began to work as an Auror. Harry wondered why Teddy no longer came to Harry's office to chat.
"Did he think that because I'm his boss doesn't mean he can't come into my office like he used to do? Did our positions make everything different?" Harry thought to himself. He wasn't sure but he felt that it was his fault why Teddy no longer talked to Harry much like he used too. But for now, he shock the idea at the back of his mind.
"Where do you want to eat, Ted? I swear, I can eat a whole whale." Harry joked around, trying to lighten the mode. Harry went to grab his jacket from the closet and turned to Teddy. "Let's go?"

Harry smiled as he non-verbally accio-ed his coat from the hanger. "Well then, let's go. Staying here would be wasting the time we have left before we have to come back and finish the work load. I swear, I didn't know Kingsley had it this bad when he was here." harry joked.
Harry wasn't told that upon becoming the Head Auror, you have more paper work to do than the regular aurors. He sighed jokingly. Then he turned to Teddy.
"You know Teddy, you don't come to my office like you used to. Before, you come in just to talk about anything. Now, you bare come at all." Harry pointed out that he had missed his godson. Teddy was like a brother he never had.

Harry was glad that Teddy explained his side. He was about to pout and sulk if Teddy did actually avoid him because he was now the boss. Harry gave Teddy and big grin as they were about to leave the Auror Office.
"I'm glad to know then... And I almost thought that you really were avoiding me because I'm your boss and all. Ron did it at first you know. He tried to place a distance because I became the Head of our department. Then after I talked to him, he admitted that it was a stupid decision to do and everything went back to what it was before I became head." Harry said.
He fixed his jacket and looked forward to a relaxing afternoon with his godson, who he hadn't been with for quite sometime. He was glad that everything was going to be alright now.
"Thanks, Teddy." Harry told him with a warm smile.

." Teddy assured his godfather with a smile. Harry was the closest thing to a father that Teddy had ever had, he wasn't going to ever avoid or ignore him. The guilt of it would just eat away at him. "It's no problem, I was just telling the truth." Teddy replied brightly, heading over to the door and turning the handle. "Shall we get going then?" Teddy couldn't wait to get outside, for the past few days he'd been on paperwork duty instead of actually going out on missions which he strongly preferred to being cooped up inside doing next to nothing for hours on end.[/ul]

(OOC: Sorry for the very very VERY short reply)
Harry merely nodded and both went out to have a good afternoon with the rest of their extended family. It was going to be a good day no matter what. And Harry was going to make sure of it.
