Draco sauntered into the three broomsticks after a long day at Hogwarts. He had been evaluating things and such. Being a governor was hard work sometimes. He liked the job though. Even if it seemed like he absolutely hated it.
He went up to the counter and smiled at the bartender. "One Butterbeer please." Draco wished he could have something stronger, but he had to do more evaluations tomorrow and couldn't get drunk tonight. That just wouldn't be good. Then he'd just be more angry tomorrow and fail more people. That was life.
Draco was having a long week in general. He couldn't stop thinking about the night with Harry. Having dinner with him and actually getting along. It was different to him. He didn't know how to handle that. They were friends... right. Then why was his mind shouting no... that they weren't just friends.

And, of course, Brent didn't like the man at all. That was partly down to the grudge he held against all purebloods after being taunted all his life for being Muggleborn. He glared over at the older man, Brent knew better than to actually approach him though.[/ul]

Draco gave the bartender a curt nod when he brought back his drink. He took a long drink of it and then looked around the bar. Trying to see if he noticed someone he knew or not. Draco didn't really like drinking alone, even if he didn't get very drunk tonight. Or at all, honestly.
He only saw one person that he knew, the bar was kind of quiet right now. With a small smirk, Draco told the bartender he was going to sit down with someone and not just leave without paying. He grabbed his glass and walked over to the table where McKinney was sitting.
Draco sat down without invitation. "Shouldn't you be grading papers or something, Mudblood?" He said it with a sneer. Harry flashed in his mind, Draco knew he wouldn't approve of Draco calling someone a mudblood. Since they were friends now, Draco supposed he'd have to stop doing that when he hung around Harry. But not now.

table, just inviting himself over. And it wasn't like Brent would've ever let him if he had asked, surely the pair of them were certain of that much. There went Brent's idea of 'escaping the madness'. The intensity of his glare increased as the word 'Mudblood' left Draco's mouth. Brent had been expecting it as soon as Draco had sauntered over, wearing an ugly sneer. Despite the fact that Brent had been called a Mudblood many, many times throughout his life in the Wizarding World, even now, it still stung as much as it would've if he'd been slapped. "Shouldn't you be doing something far more important than harassing Mudbloods?" he snapped at Draco indignantly.[/ul]

Draco smirked coldly at Brent. This was going to be fun. Teasing a mudblood like McKinney. He got so pissed off so easily. It was easy to fuck with him. Which was exactly what Draco was planning on doing. "Of course not, McKinney. It's fun harassing Mudbloods. What are you going to do about it? Cry or something?" Draco laughed as he took a drink.
"So how's Hogwarts from your point of view?" Draco asked with a coy smile. "I've just been there visiting and stuff. But it's nice to hear from it by a teacher." Draco wasn't going to completely torment the guy. Only a tiny bit. It was fun, like he said. Draco missed the days where he would tease anybody he ran into. But that was the old Draco. He had turned into someone different. Someone that was better to live with than the person he used to be. He had to keep telling himself that.

and if anyone back at Hogwarts heard of what he'd done then there would be trouble... obviously, he'd run the risk of even losing his job. Besides, Brent still had his butterbeer. He decided to just focus on drinking that. "Nope, McKinneys don't cry." Brent beamed up at Malfoy, doing a pretty good job of controlling his temper if he could say so himself. Crying was something Brent barely ever did, it only happened with something really, really pushed him over the edge and truthfully the same could be said for the rest of his family. Excluding his mother. But, then again, whose mother didn't often break down into a teary, love-filled mess? Brent shrugged his shoulders at Draco's sudden change in mood. "And why would the opinion of someone like me matter to you anyway, even if I am a teacher?" he growled. There was no way on earth Brent was going to manage to have an at least partly civilised conversation with Draco Malfoy.[/ul]

"Good to know."Draco mumbled before taking a drink offhandedly. He really didn't care. McKinney's could ball their fucking eyes out for all Draco cared. But he didn't. He could care less what this fucking mudblood did in his free time.
Draco smiled at him. Not a real smile. More like a I'm-ready-to-torment-the-shit-outta-you smile. The best kind in Draco's eyes. "Just making small talk, aren't I? As a school governor, it's my job to make sure things run smoothly in Hogwarts castle. If that means asking a mudblood what goes on in the castle walls, then that's what it means." Draco kept his smile on his face.
"What about you and Jackson? Everyone I talk to says you two are quite friendly. Anything going on there I should know about? Something that could stop you two from doing your jobs?" Draco had seen them a few times together, and had heard things from students while walking the halls. It wasn't like he knew anything, but he thought it sounded good to tease Brent with.
OOC: Meeeeh. I didn't know what to reply with, so I figured I'll have Draco tease Brent about Chay somehow. lol. I'm tired and it's all I thought of.
