Peace and quiet, finally [Blaze]-closed-

Blaze's eyes were diluted after the kiss. His lips were... It was just amazing. Then she giggled as he began to ramble on about dates and them. He was the nervous one now, not her. And pulled him down for another kiss to make him shut up. She did it slowly and softly. After a while, she pulled away and smiled at him.

"That was a nice way to make you quiet for a while. We'll take it one step at a time, James. We don't to rush right?" she asked and smiled at him. She didn't want to mess it up with him like what had happened to Alex and Chris when they had kissed. It did end up differently than she thought.

"James, I have to tell you that I'm not good at this. You have to be a little patient with me. I have never been in a relationship and this is something that I can't tell the end of." she bit her lower lip. "However, one thing is for sure. That in the end, I want to be next to you and hold your hand like the first time." she told him.

James was completely shocked when she kissed him. It was amazing, just like the first one. He smiled at her while she talked.

He was happy that she agreed to take it slow. Things would go better for both of them if they did. "No, we don't want to rush it. We will just let it take us where it takes us."

He could understand her worries about this being her first relationship. He remembered his first relationship with someone. It was...interesting to say the least. "I will be the most patient person you will ever meet. I won't push you or anything, that I can promise you. Just go with it. Don't focus on the bad things. Just be yourself and everything will be ok."

She smiled at him as she sat back up and faced him. "Now, what else do we have to talk about? Is there anything else we have to cover?" she joked as she giggled. She liked talking to him and just being with him.

"You know, your the first person to make me feel so relaxed and calm like this... Its an achievement on its own already since I used to be very picky and all." She told him with a mock pout.

It was true though. "And to think that your from Gryffindor too." she joked again. She never thought that her life was going to go through what it was on now.

He laughed as she joked about his House. It was a good sign for the future when they could laugh about these things so early on.

He thought that there was more they could talk about, more of each other to find out. He didn't want to be too pushy on questions so he figured that he would let her choose what they talk about. "I still think there is more to talk about. I mean, we still don't know anything about each other really. Why don't you choose the first topic for discussion."

Blaze knew of a way to make them know each other in a fun way. "how about we do a 20 questions game. We take turns asking and answering questions about each other." she said with smile. It was a game she and Alex used to play when they were playing treasure hunting. Alex would hide the treasure and Blaze would ask 20 questions to know were the treasure is buried.

"We can even do it while having breakfast tomorrow." she suggested and then stopped. She remembered that the rest of the school will be in shock when they see her with James Potter of all people. But then she shook her head.

"This is not about them. It's about me and James. It's about the two of us and only us." she told herself and smiled. She was going to have to break free from her old self and be happy. James was more important than the rest of the student body.

James thought about what she wanted to do. 20 questions sounded like a good idea to him. It would get them to know each other without it being a one sided conversation.

Then it hit him. She said tomorrow at breakfast. That would mean that they would be sitting together. Not that he really minded. He just wasn't sure whether she was comfortable with it or not. "Wait, tomorrow morning? You mean that we are going to sit together? You realize everyone will see right? Are you sure you are okay with that? Personally I could care less but I wasn't sure how you would feel."

Blaze took a deep breath and sighed. "I have to be honest with you. I am a bit nervous. I always sit at the slytherin table with the rest of my house..." she began and took hold of James' hand, "But I'm willing to try something different, way way different... If your there to hold my hand." she told him.

Nervous was an understatement. Blaze could already picture the whole school either faint or stare at them with eyes wide as bludgers. To see James Potter, son of the wizarding Savior eating with a slytherin was enough to fuel the gossip mills for a year.

"I told you, this will be new to me. And the fact that your from Gryffindor is making it more... challenging." she said honestly. "You have to agree that if people saw you, the eldest son of Harry James Potter eating with a slytherin like me, people will surely talk to you afterwards." she gave him an idea what might happen.

"I know you don't like people calling you Potter or seeing you only as a son of the great savior, but I don't want people to start being negative towards you because of me."

James sighed. She was right. They would talk, oh boy would they talk. But he didn't really care. "I'm happy that you were honest with me. I'll be there with you every step of the way. I don't want to hide whatever is starting here. We are in this together. We will get through it together."

He held her hand, rubbing circles on the top of it with his thumb. "I know they will talk, but I don't care. If one thing came from all the attention I got from being a Potter it's that I now tune out all the gossip about me. They can talk all they want, as long as they don't come at you, I don't care."

Blaze had to laugh. "It's not me their probably going after... Well, maybe your fangirls... But people will come at you and start telling you that being friends with me will make your father angry or the rest of your family hate you... Or something along those lines." she said.

"Look James, I do not want you to burden yourself. I know you'll be there for me but at one point, people will begin to be more aggressive towards you. And I don't want you hurt." she held his face lovingly. He was precious to her now. And she would never allow anyone to hurt the ones she cares for.

"It'll kill me if I know that your fangirls will begin to be hostile and all." she joked. "I'd probably get hexed more often now and not know who actually did it this time." she added.

James smiled at her. It was sweet how concerned she was for him. It wasn't necessary mind you, but it was cute all the same. "You don't have to worry about me, I swear. As for my father, he really can't say much since he's dating a Slytherin as well. Don't tell anyone that. I'm not sure how 'out of the closet' they are with their relationship."

He gave her a quick kiss on the head, hoping it showed that the truly believed what he said. He wasn't worried about any of that stuff. Right now his only priority was her and making sure she was comfortable enough with everything. If it would make her feel better, he'd write his father telling him what happened. He knew his father would be ok with it and he'd show that to her. "Would it settle you some if you knew my father was okay with this?"

Blaze smiled as James gave her a kiss on the head. Then she thought about his question. Then she shook her head softly. "If you say that it'll be alright with your dad, then I believe you. You don't have to prove anything to make me feel better." she said and smiled at James. She was probably going to smile more often now.

"However, when your ready to tell me, I would like to hear about this relationship your dad is in. And 'out of the closet'? what does that mean exactly?" she asked him with a confused looked. Noted, Blaze rarely gets confused. "You only mentioned that your dad is dating a snake. I thought your mother was from Gyrffindor as well." she added.

James sighed, he wasn't really sure how to answer that. Though they had talked when he dad had come and through letters since, he still didn't know much about his dad's relationship.

He guessed he should start with things with his mom and go from there. "My mom and dad got a divorce awhile back. I'm not sure exactly whether or not she's seeing someone, but my dad is in a new relationship. You see he finally decided to tell everyone he's gay. He came here a while back to talk to me and my siblings about it. Not only did he tell us that, but he also told us that he's dating someone. I'm not sure if I should really tell you who that person is or not, but I can tell you he's a Slytherin that went to school with my dad."

Blaze frozed. "Harry James Potter, Head Auror, Savior of the Wizarding world, The Boy Who Lived, gay?" then she turned to look at James. He seemed alright with the news. He must be really understanding to still be in one piece after the divorce and the 'coming out' of his dad.

The Blaze pondered a little more. Someone who went to school with his father. A slytherin. The it hit her like a herd of hippogriffs. "Your dad is dating Governor Malfoy?" she asked with a tome of disbelief. She had never thought that the Malfoy Head swung that way.

"I must say, that your right about one thing. You indeed would be a git if you turned away because I'm a slytherin." she told him and gave him a hug. "Thank you, James."

James was glad she understood. He just needed to make sure she didn't say anything. "Blaze you can't tell anyone this. I don't know who my father has told or how open they are. No one else can know about what I just told you. Promise me that you won't tell anyone, not even your cousin."

He had to make sure to protect his dad. He would really hate himself if he threw his dad under the bus, especially since they had just fixed their relationship not too long ago. He wanted his dad to be proud of him. He knew that blabbing about his boyfriend was not the way to go about that.

Blaze shook her head and smiled at him. "You don't have to tell me to keep it a secret. I'm just glad that you were able to tell me about it. And I am proud of you for being so understanding of your dad. Harry Potter should be proud to have you as his son. You're being mature even if it is not expected of you." she told him.

"however, I must ask one thing from you." she knew he had to tell her. She didn't want to have a repeat of what happened between Alex and Sutton. "If ever you hear anything negative about me, you will ask me and I will honestly tell you whether or not what you heard is a lie or the truth." she told him seriously.

The last thing Blaze wanted was a bump on their road to happiness. She was not going to let go of James that easily. After he'd seen the real her and made her feel what she was feeling now, it was going to take the whole universe to make her leave his side.
